We have upgraded to the Premier package as they stated that Cloudy Bay was included in Premier and this is our favourite wine. I don’t see how they can charge more than the package, when they clearly state it is included. Hopefully somebody has made an error when entering in the new prices! If enough people complain they will surely have to correct the price.

Only two bottles of Whispering Angel - that is really bad. We would drink both those bottles on the first day. It is widely available in the UK - somebody in Procurement at Princess needs to get their act together.

Thanks for your kind words wouzz. Club Class dining does look nice, but unfortunately most of the menus that we have seen are not to our taste apart from the formal nights. You may all be right about the wines, but If Princess cannot supply what they promise, then they shouldn’t be selling this package.

Don’t quite know why everybody is giving me such a hard time about our decision. We have decided that overall, this package works for us and this brings the more inclusive feel that we are used to when sailing with Celebrity. Not for everybody, I fully appreciate and I am not encouraging others to buy it. Yes we like high end wines, spirits and cocktails and we will likely drink towards the max allowed per day. Also we have paid up front in British Pounds and as you may be aware, the value of the pound against the dollar is falling, so keeping the Plus Package and paying the extra on most of our drinks would have added up as these would have been billed in US$. There is no Vines Wine Bar on Enchanted, so am not quite sure which venues will be serving the premium wines by the glass. Hopefully all the Specialty restaurants will and apart from the three Formal nights, we will be eating in these virtually every night. Will be very interested to see what happens after June 25th, which I think is when the Premier package kicks in. Anybody sailing after this date, please post the new bar menus.

We were lucky when we booked our Sky Suite that The Enchanted had just changed all their itineraries, so were offering some very good prices for all the new itineraries. We got a pretty good price, obviously still expensive, but equates to more of a price for one week rather than two weeks when I look at similar cruises in this Suite on other ships. Timing is everything!

Having never sailed Princess before, we are assuming if they are selling this package that they will be able to provide what they say is included. We are not interested in the Photo package, but the internet packages and the two Speciality Dining meals are. I would imagine that all the bars will have to carry some of these additional wines after 27th June. Only time will tell.

We are hoping that now they have introduced this package that we will be able to get the premium wines at most bars. Only time will tell!

Not everybody will get value from the Premier package, but It won’t be a problem for us. Cloudy Bay is a lovely wine, which we are particularly looking forward to and we love the look of the cocktails in Bellinis. We should also have a choice of 40 wines by the glass. It will be interesting to see when we Board if everything that they promise is available. If we only drank 5 or 6 alcoholic drinks a day, it may not be good value, but we will drink more than that. Don’t forget the other perks as well.

Thanks for your input everybody. Our TA finally heard back from Princess today. As a lot of you said, we cannot upgrade just the drinks package of Princess Plus. However, we have successfully now upgraded to Princess Premier for £20 per day per head; which is considerably less than we were quoted a couple of weeks ago. Princess in the UK are now in line with what they are offering to guests in the US. It will be interesting how it works when we board Enchanted on 22 July.

Fantastic videos to see. Thank you for posting. I know the Enchanted Suites have a different layout, but still good to see. Was your Ultimate Balcony Dinner whilst you were still in Port? Thinking of scheduling ours for when we sail out of Flam; which is very scenic or before we sail away from Andalsnes, as we don’t leave there until 8.00 pm. Also think it might be too chilly at our Iceland Ports. I guess we need to look at the weather forecast, before we book. One other question for you - can you remember whether the fridges were cold?

Glad to hear about the MUTS. We were a bit worried about this. Also valuable info re when you get the SEM contact details. We are just over 5 weeks before we sail, so will hopefully hear from the Shoreside Concierge soon.

We are trying to upgrade the drinks package element of our Princess Plus Package, but our TA is not coming up with any answers for us. We initially tried to change our Princess Plus Package to the Premier Package, but the price to do this in the UK was ridiculous. Therefore thought we would try to upgrade just the drinks portion. Has anybody else tried to do this and if so how did they get on. Our cruise is 22nd July and we are anticipating the bar prices rising before then. We are drinkers and like the premium brands. I don’t think Princess really know what they are doing and have not anticipated that those of us who purchased Princess Plus before this option was brought in would want to upgrade. Any input would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Sounds as if meeting the SEM and boarding will be really easy. Don’t think we will need the Coffee Card as we have The Princess Plus package, so the Coffees are included. Looking forward to having the Ultimate Balcony Dinner, but we are sailing to Norway and Iceland, so will have to book the day and time wisely.

Fantastic to read your comments on the Sky Suite Elwatzero. We have S310 booked for July on the Enchanted. I have a couple of questions, which I hope you don’t mind answering. What happened when you got to Southampton - how did the SEM find you. Did you hold onto your luggage until you located the SEM or did you have to pick up your Medallion first? Also, did the mini bar spirits get restocked daily free of charge as well as the beers and sodas? When the Shoreside Concierge contacted you, what info / requests did you provide. Want to be prepared for the call. Glad you had a great trip.

Ours was 60 days on Enchanted Princess.

Yeah I know but we always sail in a Suite, so the Premium package was always included and we loved not having to keep count of the number of drinks. Hopefully we will enjoy Princess, and have a great time and will hopefully be able to pay the extra for any drinks not included in the Plus package. Think this will probably work out cheaper anyway.

Have tried to upgrade today from Princess Plus to this new package today. Unfortunately it was way too expensive - think the agent said £900 for us both for a 14 night sailing. We will be very upset if we have to pay extra for our drinks if they raise the prices above the Plus Package limit of $12. We are used to sailing Celebrity where we can have unlimited drinks on their Premium Drinks package, which includes most of the top end spirits. We are trying to remain positive about our first Princess cruise, but at the moment we are struggling a bit!

Do they tell you when you have reached the 15 limit. We are used to sailing Celebrity where there is no limit, so are not used to counting. Think we might need to buy a clicker to keep count!
