  1. We are using TMR, again, tomorrow! for about the 20th time! As Safarigal says, very reliable with great vehicles.
  2. Everyone on the Roll Call knows we are in 8090, no secret, so if you're in the area, press the bell and say hello. Stewart
  3. We also embark QV tomorrow. All our clothes are on a portable rail (like you see in shops) and this afternoon they will be folded into cases. One large one each and a suit carrier for jackets, dinner suit and long dresses. As we are travelling tonight on the Caledonian Sleeper, we also have small carry on bags.
  4. You no longer receive a wriiten card to present. You just book it, letting them know it's your free Diamond lunch or part paid dinner.
  5. To give you an idea: My wife and I will be embarking on QV this Friday. We travel to London on the Caledonian Sleeper from Glasgow on Thursday night. We use a chauffuer company that always collects us from Euston Station at 9:30am. Normally, it takes one hour forty five minutes. Our check in time, which was given three weeks before embarkation date, is 12:30pm, but we'll be able to complete the formalities on arrival.
  6. I wouldn't cancel. Westbound is the best way to go with 5 x 25 hour days, It would probably be the highlight of your entire trip. We did the TA round trip a few months ago (again). QG was up to its usual standard and always remains probably the best restaurant(s) we've ever been in. We're in QG on QV later this week (again).
  7. We're on QV later this week. If they're on, I'll ask Bryan and Tommy if indeed they are on for Xmas and NY
  8. It almost seems that one, or both of you, is determined to push the boundaries as low as you can. Why not turn it around and see how much nicer you'd both look completely "glammed up". Then, you'd not look out of place and probably love being part of the experience. It doesn't have to cost a fortune, but I'm sure, you'd have a far better time if you respected the Cunard traditions, and feel more part of the "family" if you chose to aspire to a higher dress appearance and enjoy the ambiance.
  9. Doesn't sound right. Definitely below minimum requirements, which, by the way, are set quite low.
  10. I take it all back! The day after I posted, MY WIFE received an electronic copy. Not quite the same, but better than nothing. Stewart
  11. On both QV and QE, there are separate stand alone showers in all "Q's".
  12. They obviously don't like me. I get neither. It's about 5 or 6 years since I received one. I even updated my preferences, but to no avail. Must be because I've only done 300+ nights in QG.
  13. We'll be travelling to Madeira and the Canaries, on QV, leaving on 24 November. I think this will be our 7th on this particular cruise. We've never had to tender in. Always docked. What makes you think tendering might be necessary?
  14. We don't have much, but we did get this:
  15. The system should pick it up when you book. A good TA might be an advantage.
  16. Just checked in for 24th November trip. Q3 & Diamond - check in 12:30pm.
  17. On QM2. a Bell Boy escorts Q1 - Q4. The rest of the Q's have to join the plebs and fend for themselves. Serves them right.
  18. Bring whatever you want. We take 4 - 6 bottles of Veuve. Others bring more. You can also top up if you are in ports.
  19. We like the Q3's on Deck 8 at the stern. However, if you are not an early riser, the stewards start putting out the loungers at 6:30am, and it is noisy. We don't really mind.
  20. Sorry, I was referring to the wine package.
  21. We purposely booked 2 x QG roome at each side of the laundry on QV. One was for us, and one for my parents. The idea was that we cound use the laundry as a passageway to each others rooms. It actually worked out well and we never heard any noise or fighting from the laundry.
  22. It's not a good option. Over the years, they have consistently reduced the package availability. One of the options used to be champagne, but it disappeared, just like port, just like chateau neuf, and just like all other decent choices. We used to take it, but it became less and less favourable.
  23. The Headliners have a westbound programme and a eastbound one (usually) so there shouldn't be any repeats. Any "special"speakers, normally only do one way.
  24. I was pleased to read that! I thought it was just me. Never got the thing to work, so her indoors brings a jar of instant. I really prefer tea.
