It is odd and frustrating. All the fanfare from the team arriving in Monfalcone and then you don't see anything of note! I'm fed up with pizza and protective clothing pictures lol. There must be an embargo. I'm sure it's all building up to the actual handover and we will soon be flooded with details.

Considering they said Butchers Block by Dario would be 'family style' on a big table it may well be permanent. And Catch by Rudi had a lot more booking slots. We shall hopefully find out in 10 or 11 days. Ahh darnit, we would have been boarding today and I had booked Butchers Block for the first evening!

Thank you for asking. We have placeholder bookings on the Transatlantic and the 5 day inaugural from FLL but my work commitments mean they are both unlikely now. Still looking at options - we're off on a lastminute NCL Joy Transatlantic to Miami next week so we don't have to sit and mope at home during the new inaugural 😁

Crew member Gede Darsana posted a picture of himself standing next to the ship today. I think it looks like they are tidying things up in prep for the handover but who knows! This picture does give you a close up of the Cabana deck immediately above him however.

The Princess App has now been updated to include the Sun Princess ship map. The venue names are a bit fuzzy on my Android version though!

Well it's still pretty quiet out there on social media. There's a YouTube short with our crew guy showing us a glimpse of a Sun Princess lifeboat, with shutter-like doors and a sign that says it has a capacity of 440. Unable to translate what he says but looking up the lifeboat spec for Fassmer 14.0, then it can definitely take that number of people!

It has been reported that Fincantieri and Princess now hope to deliver Sun Princess on February 9, in time for the new inaugural on February 18.

Cirque Eloize have posted a clip on social media of their artists enjoying the last days of rehearsals in Italy before boarding Sun Princess. An earlier article said they would then have 6 to 8 weeks of integration.

Thank you - no more inaugural for us yet am still obsessed with hunting down information on this ship! I'm sure it will change once passengers get on board and start reporting back.

Not yet, this recent article says it still needs to be determined. We did discover that it will be bookable in 3 slots - 5pm, 7pm, 9pm

Magician Mark James has announced on Facebook that he will be one of the first magicians performing on Sun Princess as part of Spellbound. More details to come - keep an eye on his website for dates.

Thanks for the additional info - it does look as though it's a specific entertainment event in 2 hour slots at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm with some fancy drinks. Some had bundled it into a dining experience which puzzled me as I never saw any food in the mockups!

In this journal de montreal article it mentions that 30 members of the Cirque Eloize team will board Sun Princess on the weekend of 10th February to begin six to eight weeks of integration. This confirms that the Cirque Eloize productions won't be ready for the first few cruises either.

It certainly was usually the case in pre-Covid times. It has to go from Trieste/Monfalcone to Rome for the new inaugural however. -

Perhaps they are waiting until when they have Spellbound and Love by Britto ready. Don from Don's Family Vacations has been invited on a 5 day cruise from March 9th, for example. -

Our friends on the 18th Feb inaugural have just been assigned their guaranteed stateroom. Ironically just yards from where our stateroom would have been Looking promising though..

Welcome back to Princess. Currently it doesn't look like Sun Princess will have an adults only pool outside of the pool shared between the Sanctuary and Signature Suite guests. That's just based on information on the website so need to have this confirmed once the first passengers have been onboard - hopefully later next month.
