It's all rather manual for booking your lounger or cabana. They will usually offer to take you around to select your spot from those that are available. Bookings are written on sheets for each day and coloured in according to half days/full days.
  2. Thanks for confirming - yes, believe that menu with speciality pizzas was out before this casual dining announcement. Looks like they haven't caught up yet.
  3. Vines have the new menu on Crown Princess as per this post
  4. Thank you! If you are able to grab a photo or two that would be good!
  5. There seems to be a few things in play at the moment which might change the menus provided with the original announcement: - Sapphire Princess and a Royal Class ship (which one @Steelers36?) had different Alfredo's pricing ($8.50 instead of $12 for pizza) - Vines and the Salty Dog Gastropub were not explicitly mentioned on the email sent out by Princess so are they still part of the deal? Also, someone reported that Planks and Steamers may be returning to Emerald Princess within the next month. If anyone has confirmation from other sources then please let us all know.
  6. Thank you for you live from @Cruise Raider. If you are able, could you check in on the Salty Dog Gastropub and Vines to see if they have updated casual dining menus with the new charges? They were included in the original announcement but weren't explicitly mentioned on the email that's just been sent out by Princess.
  7. If you go back to Gigi's, would you be able to grab a pic of the menu? Would be interesting to see if they have broken down the prices for each course as well as charge $14.99 for a meal.
  8. This was the menu created at the same time of the casual dining announcement Ocean Terrace.pdf
  9. The third video from Adam Savage is all about the Sun Princess build approach - pre-fabricating cabins off-site, saving space, an extra large embarkation door. No spoilers on the cabin interiors unfortunately!
  10. This post from Sea Hag goes into more detail with examples of dinner, breakfast and lunch extra dishes
  11. Here's the screencap (thanks to Thrak for the instructions)
  12. The casual dining changes are meant to be rolled out from today for those boarding Enchanted Princess, Regal Princess and Royal Princess. Hopefully there will be some reports on how they are working out in practice.
  13. Cutdown info below from the Casual Dining Fixed Price Menus thread: As mentioned above: Salty Dog Gastropub is located in the Wheelhouse Bar Not all Vines venues have had the same food offerings and at the same times in the past so will be interesting to see if this is levelled out across the fleet with the dining changes. Planks and Steamers are separate areas in the buffet but have not been operating since the pandemic - again, one to watch with the casual dining rollout. Venue (with menu for logged in users) A la carte charges $14.99 cover charge includes Ships Salty Dog Gastropub Salty Dog.pdf Plates $10 Desserts $5 2 x Plates 1 x Dessert Crown Princess Emerald Princess Ruby Princess Vines Vines.pdf Crudités $3 Charcuterie Board $12 Chocolate Truffles $3 1 x Crudités 1 x Charcuterie Board 1 x Chocolate Truffes Caribbean Princess Crown Princess Emerald Princess Grand Princess Majestic Princess Regal Princess Royal Princess Ruby Princess Sapphire Princess Sky Princess Planks Planks.pdf Starters $5 Planks $12 Extra Meat $4 Desserts $3 1 x Starter 1 x Plank 1 x Dessert Caribbean Princess Emerald Princess Steamers Steamers.pdf Starters $5 Steamer $12 Seafood Platter $12 Add Lobster Tail or Snow Crab $10 Desserts $3 1 x Starter 1 x Steamer or Seafood Platter 1 x Dessert Caribbean Princess Emerald Princess
  14. Oh yes, the aisles were amazingly narrow. Thanks for the extra info - I tend not to lie flat and can snooze at any angle lol. My other half does lie flat (on the overnights) but normally wears a good quality eye mask and earplugs.
  15. Found your views on the Virgin neo Upper Class experience interesting. What specifically did you find uncomfortable about it? We managed to upgrade to the Retreat Suite for our Virgin neo flight to Boston a couple of months back and loved the extra space that gave us - have flown upper in their older fleet a few times and were concerned about roominess on these newer planes.
  16. Many thanks @snoozecrooze - no idea why they don't show. I can still see them and so can my other half on his device!
  17. It will be interesting to see how they manage this! It might be just for the rest of this season - could have sworn there was a mention on here that Princess had said they were aiming to rollout medallion delivery by post to other nations - e.g. UK, Canada, Aus and NZ by the end of this year.
  18. Traditional dining is no more on Princess in the sense that you are advised to book dining slots using the app (Dine My Way) - see the Princess website page where it mentions: Dine When You Want Select dining times for main dining rooms and specialty restaurants.* Change reservations as needed. (It's flexible!) Request the same time each night if you prefer the same waitstaff. No reservations needed for those eligible for Reserve Dining. You can book before the cruise or during. Some may turn up and try to do a walk-in which tends to work at less busy times. When we were on Discovery Princess last October the dining times were: Breakfast: 7-9am Lunch: 12-1:30pm Dinner: 5pm:9:30pm
  19. Hey, we're booked on the inaugural in February so have a vested interest in her progress 😁 Lots of excitement on other sites too.
  20. A few more from Stewart (pictured with his son) to wrap up:
  21. More pictures from Stewart Chiron's shipyard visit. Galleys and restaurants: The Sphere and main Pool (undercover):
  22. Some pictures from the shipyard visit yesterday posted by Stewart Chiron: Balconies - will get their cabins soon....
  23. Promising update from Stewart Chiron aka The Cruise Guy on another site that he had "toured Princess Cruises upcoming Sun Princess today at the cruise shipyard. Stunning progress since last visit in March." Hopefully we will get some build news soon!
