  1. We did a one and done NCL Haven cruise pre covid and were not impressed at all. I looked at MSC but most of their ships with YC are 7 day cruises and we want to cruise in no less than 10 days.
  2. Looking forward to following another great @Jim_Iain live thread. Like many here have already said we are jumping ship with Celebrity and looking and booking with other lines. We only have booked Sky Suites on Celebrity and with all the negative changes and huge price increases this year we have been forced by X to abandon ship. We no longer want to sail the Caribbean and that seems to be the direction of X with more 7 day and less cruises from Florida. X should be very concerned when a Double Zenith like you and Lain are looking outside of X. We are looking at Oceania (already booked), Seabourne and Regent for our future travels. Your Ponant cruise itinerary is on our bucket list and I will be interested in your cruise, we have been looking at Viking for the Great Lakes as well.
  3. Our first post covid cruise was in an Aft corner SS on the Equinox in August 2021 for 9 days to the ABC islands. We only had 900 passengers on that cruise and it was delightful. No waiting lines for anything, no waiting for elevators and no worries about chair hoggs. We do not do much on any cruise during a sea days, no bingo, no silly deal or no deal ect etc. No lines at any bar for a drink too. Night theater shows are usually so lame they are not worth fighting for a good seat. I think we would love 475 -900 passengers. That Equinox cruise with 900 pax was one of the best we ever did. BTW our cost for the Aft Corner SS on the Equinox for 9 days was only $4200pp and was a bargain compared to today's pricing.
  4. More of Celebrity's being consistent about being inconsistent.
  5. Celebrity has hired the marketing genius who made this sign
  6. I was just looking at a couple of Regent 2025 Cruises and when considering all that is included they are more than extremely competitive with the Retreat suites new costs. This whole thread has been eye opening.
  7. Just did a mock booking on our Volendam cruise next August and the Early Booking HIA has the internet included.
  8. I guess the question is if order the canapés are you charged the room service delivery fee?
  9. Has a long discussion today with my long time TA today about the changes with Celebrity. About 40% of her business is booking Celebrity cruises. She has been inundated by her customers the last two weeks cancelling Celebrity cruises and booking for the first-time other lines. It is just about as bad with her customers booked on RC switching to other lines. As bad as Celebrity has been with future pricing she said RCL is even worse. A lot of the switching is going to Princess, HAL, Oceania and Viking Ocean. This should be worrisome to Celebrity but she doubts they really care they are booking record numbers for future cruises. I told her we are done with Celebrity after our future cruise are done and she is looking at some Oceania and Seabourne cruises for 2025 and further out for us.
  10. Very casual, no jackets other than to keep you warm in cold weather. All country club casual.
  11. Its more that they hope we never remove our rose colored Celebrity cheerleader blinders. Mine came off last month with the butlers change for Sky Suites.
  12. It sounds like the lounge is more like the Neptune lounge which is included with booking a Neptune or Pinnacle suite on Holland America. Having looked at the older R class ships I doubt we would ever book one because of the smaller cabin and bathroom sizes. Same reason we do not book with Azamara.
  13. One of our best friends have done over 10 Oceania cruises and they will not sail on any other line.
  14. We are booked in a Concierge cabin in 2025, how do we get the free gratuities? Our cruise we get $1000 for shore excursions with the SM.
  15. We will be boarding the Apex two weeks from today in Rotterdam. It will be interesting to see how the Team will work for our SS. I know from other posts that there is a separate Retreat line for check in at the terminal. We will be at the terminal by 11:00am after our drive from Amsterdam.
  16. I can see Celebrity morphing into a parallel cruise line to RC with similar amenities, itineraries and costs similar to Princess and HAL. Celebrity is already adding more Florida home ports and 7 day Carribean cruises like RC.
  17. As I have been digging into what is included in our March 2025 Oceania South America cruise I am amazed at the differences. We booked a Concierge Class Verandah vs the Equinox Sky Suite on the cruise canceled by Celebrity in South America. *We get 3 free bags of laundry *All taxes, fees and port charges are included in cruise fare *We get a $1000 shore excursion credit *Daily gratuities are only $18pp per day. *Cabin is only 20sq ft smaller than the SS *Priority boarding by noon *All specialty restaurants are free and included in fare, Oceania is known as a foodie cruise line *We get 18 nights VS 14 on Celebrity with 3 more ports on Oceania *We saved $200pp on cost with the 4 extra days and 3 more ports.
  18. You might be able to buy the Tuscan Villa for $100K, LOL
  19. Who is crazy enough to pay these kind of prices next year. Sky Suite at $20K+ and Iconic Suite over $100K+?
  20. Visit the Oceania CC forum and you will find them for sure.
  21. We recently booked our first O cruise on the Marina in 2025 after Celebrity canceled their 2024-25 South America cruises. Booked an A3 concierge class cabin and are saving money over what the canceled X cruise was going to cost and picked up an extra 4 days too. We are also looking at a couple of 2024 0r 25 longer 21+ day cruises in Northern Europe and the UK. Celebrity has in the last month made some very IMO dumb changes to their product and many CC members like me are jumping ship too. This forum may be seeing an influx of ship jumpers in the very near future.
  22. Wow, I missed that can't believe anyone still would sail with NCL at those rates. Celebrity's $23 per day for the Retreat is also ridiculous.
  23. When we booked our Oceania Marina Santiago to Buenos Aires cruise I started looking at the Oceania CC forum, After I joined and explained that we booked because Celebrity had pulled out of SA for 2025, I was surprised by so many ex Celebrity cruisers on the forum congratulating me for jumping ship from X.
  24. Unfortunately this is too true, and there are some on CC who boast about doing this. Just go look at the long lines at Guest Services on the last day of a cruise to see how many actually do this. I do not believe you could do it if you have tips included in AI.
