  1. Same happened to me, this morning I went into the app in settings and deleted the cache and data, then had to sign back on and now it works fine.
  2. Is the $10 to prepay the muggers? LOL. Hope I live long enough to see the Celebrity IT department get their **** together.
  3. I am with you on this, after our cruise this next week from Florida we are so done with the boring Caribbean cruises, we have been to almost every island and port in the Caribbean. We are only doing this one next week because our 12 year old granddaughter wanted to go to beaches instead of Alaska. We are retired and now do long extended cruise/land vacations not in the Carribean. September we do 2 weeks from Amsterdam to Athens ending with a week in Santorini. Next January we have 37 days on sea and land in Australia and New Zealand.
  4. Absolutely. I find nice jeans to be a little too heavy for wearing on hot weather cruises, so I wear long pants (Chinos) and very nice, collared golf shirts, button up shirts and/or Hawaiian shirts. Dress for CO is the same as the rest of the ship for both men and women.
  5. We booked on an all day Sonoma winery tour for our HAL Calif Coastal cruise in November, so we do not plan on walking around SF, except for maybe fisherman's wharf for a crab cocktail, if in season.
  6. Maybe because you have a 75% chance of being mugged and robbed in SF,😁
  7. Yes, but remember CO dining room is only for breakfast and dinner, they do not serve lunch.
  8. We are using Welcome Pickups for our AMS transports. From our hotel in AMS to the ship in Rotterdam is 209 euros for the 4 in our party. It is mini van. We are also using them after our cruise in Athens and Santorini. Welcome - Making travel easy, friendly, personal (welcomepickups.com)
  9. Yes, in the Celebrity app you can see the menu for every night months before the cruise departs.
  10. So we now all know where you keep your valuables at home, in the bags.
  11. I have used the same TA since 2004 and she has never let me down. My friends and family also use her now because of her work with us. I can also contact her on any day of the week and she has booked cruises for us on weekends as well. Last year when we had an issue with covid on a cruise, she took care of filing all of our insurance claims and got us a better settlement than I thought we would.
  12. I think this thread has gone on long enough, we get it the OP is upset because they couldn't snag a window seat every night. It is what it is and not everyone can have a window seat.
  13. It's not like the chefs don't know, until mid day, what that night's menu will be. It is also mid day when the diner menus are posted for that night outside of the MDR's.
  14. Thank you for sharing your cruise comments. From 2007 (our first HAL Cruise) we had been loyal to just HAL, with one and done NCL cruise in the mix.. Then in 2019 we discovered the Celebrity Retreat and Suites, we fell in love with the product and almost sailed exclusively with X, until now. For about the same price of a HAL Neptune Suite, with far fewer amenities, we found we could book a Sky Suite with Celebrity and get a true 'Suites" experience over the last 4 years. Starting this year Celebrity must have made a corporate decision to price out their more loyal suites customers by raising their SS prices 30-40%. For example our January 2024 Australia cruise on the Edge was booked in February 2022 in a Sky Suite and today it's almost $3000pp more and all future cruises we have looked at are just as ridiculously priced. In March 2025, we are booked on a Santigo to Buenos Ares cruise on Oceania Marina for 18 days for $200pp less than a similar 14 night Celebrity cruise in a SS. Our future cruising plans look like HAL and Oceania are now in our future and Celebrity may be a thing of the past for us.
  15. Unless you consider 10-20% as "Most" this is not true.
  16. As many have said there is no longer a formal night on HAL cruises. There will be one or two dressier nights where you can wear your more formal clothes if that is your thing. When I retired all of my formal clothes, suites and sport Jackets were gone. I will now wear basically the same thing every night in the MDR, long pants, like blue, grey or beige chinos, a nice, collared golf type shirt or a button up short sleeve shirt or one of my Tommy Bahama Hawaiian button up shirts. This meets all HAL dress codes for any evening in the MDR, 100% and do not let others here tell you different because they still want to cruise in the more formal 1990's. BTW we split our cruises between HAL and Celebrity and they both have almost identical dressing suggested codes.
  17. If you can get 4 adults in one verandah cabin, you deserve more than one bag. . . . . . .😁
  18. Your experience with a PCC is why we only book with a TA who is a professional and takes care of our needs because she works for me and not the cruise line. My suggestion is find a good TA.
  19. When I called the CO number last month I was told I had to go through my TA to add CO. My TA makes a nice commission from all our travels and I am sure she is more than happy to take care of us.
  20. Yes, it will be the highest level of category above gty available, or you can decline the upgrade and keep the gty.
  21. Easy, I did a fake booking to see what cabins were available and gave my TA the ones we wanted, my sister and her husband are cruising with us, they added CO and we got the two cabins we wanted next to each other. We both use the same TA.
  22. BTW, if you use a TA, to order CO on an already booked cruise your TA will have to call and add CO. If booked directly with HAL then call them directly to add CO.
  23. You can book CO anytime after you book a cruise on HAL, as long as they still have CO available. HAL only sells a set number of CO on each cruise. We booked CO for our November Koingsdam cruise two months after we booked, but there were no upgraded cabins we wanted since we were in an aft facing Verandah. For our Volendam cruise next August, we booked CO after we booked and moved from a B Vista Suite to an A Vista suite and got to pick the cabin we wanted,
  24. Did have to wait until they boarded to find out about the $100 OBC? We are in thr same situation on the Koingsdam, with booking the aft facing Verandah which is the highest Verandah category.
  25. try going into app setting for navigator and deleting the cache.
