  1. I got frustrated at trying to find something and my daughter decided she wanted to go to the Aquarium. So we went there and then walked around by the cliff divers area after that. The teens was 100% not interested in any tours. lol
  2. Sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for updating.
  3. We had facial recognition in Long Beach as well. However, the passport line was extremely long where the birth certificate line just zoomed past everyone (was just thinking they probably still made it up there before we did even with stopping and showing their birth certificates). ๐Ÿ˜„
  4. Yea, I know but it was toward the end of the cruise and we could have just went up to the kiosk and put a card on there but ehhh, decided not to. I guess it wasn't meant to be. The slots filled our time and we were ok with that.
  5. I'm going to chime in on this with our Panorama cruise from last week to the Mexican Riviera. We noticed that there were 2 lines (one for passport people and the other for b/c only) and the passport line was EXTREMELY long and the people with b/c just all zoomed right by us. It really had me thinking that next time I'm carrying BOTH with me because it looks like everyone has passports now. LOL
  6. Hey, better late than never right? We actually just got back (last week) from another cruise (but on Carnival) to the Mexican Riviera (our first time there) and I will be starting another review soon on that on the Carnival boards. ๐Ÿ˜„ Cane Garden Bay looked beautiful! I hope you enjoyed it. Yea, those roads that are like that are scary. I'm glad we didn't experience that. It was "hilly" but nothing major. How great was that you got to see the stingray at Coki?!? We love Coki and always have a great time. Trisket was amazing when we went. I would 100% recommend him if you ever decide to dip you feet in a little deeper water with a tank on your back. ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. I'm researching for Alaska too! (But not on the Encore). I have never been before and plan on trying to take a much smaller ship since they say you can get closer to the glaciers on them. I hope you have a wonderful cruise!
  8. I'm honestly not sure, but probably so. However, you have to have a tour guide AT the falls (or be with a group). We booked a private tour and still ended up with a group that was from the cruise ship (it was cheaper). You definitely don't have to book with the cruise line. Go with a private well known vendor.
  9. Speaking of chips...my husband try to buy chips to play the craps table and they would not allow him saying that he had to have a credit card attached to the room in order to buy chips. We purchased (over purchased actually) aarp gift cards instead of using a cc this cruise so we didn't attach our cc to the room. I thought that was strange and a bit of a let down.
  10. We have already went on our cruise last week. I wonโ€™t need suggestions (of course this doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t keep suggesting for others to read going here) ๐Ÿ˜
  11. No charge. I just did this the entire cruise last week
  12. Hike BVI. Sorry just seen this
  13. Really? Online it says it's $460 MX which is around $27.80/pp
  14. I am struggling so hard with what to do in this port and we are days away from sailing. I have never been here before. Was originally going to go over to Deer Island but the people at Aqua Sports was talking to me and all the way up to my "How do I book and confirm" reply...then crickets. They totally stopped responding. Now I am at a loss. I'm really not too interested in the way Stone Island looks like so unsure about that. We really aren't "tour" type of people and seeing the sites (unless it's a land vacation and we can see all the sites). (But might have to settle for this and have a few bored teens). We like to stay active with things like atv's/buggies, ziplining, snorkeling, walking rain forest tours or waterfalls and so on. Has anyone done any of these things here (if they even have them here) or have any other suggestions? (Or even convince me why I should do a regular tour like Freddy's or go to Stone Island). I do extensive reviews and like to make them interesting or even visit new places that cruisers haven't done before and want to. I'm ready to send SOS smoke signals at this point...send HELP!!! ๐Ÿ˜„
  15. Anyone know if we apply gift cards to our account, can you use the account for playing slots in the casino? Does it charge to the room? Or do you have to have cash? I can't remember.
  16. Yes, very shallow and plenty of area's you can stand up in. The whole area is pretty shallow up and down there along the sides. ๐Ÿ™‚ You can check out my review with pictures and you can see the top of the water versus the bottom. HERE
  17. Thanks so much for that! I will make a note of it and look for the yellow taxis. Good to know! Do the buses stop right at the port where you get off the ship? How do you get them to stop where you need them to? (I'm not even sure I'd know where to tell them lol). I'm not going far. Do they only stop at a certain bus stop only?
  18. No problem. I hope you find something suitable. ๐Ÿ™‚
  19. Using that link...it goes to a weird looking website. I clicked on the bottom for tours and nothing comes up like this tour. Are you sure you have the right link? I see one for Deer Island (which is where we actually wanted to go) but it looks like you kayak to it (which is not what we want to do). I don't see the tour you are describing at all on there. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
  20. I'm not seeing what a "Turo" is? That park looks gorgeous!
  21. Exactly. I was hoping it would just go on my account and stay there to use during the cruise instead of having to reload once on board.
  22. Oh my gosh...are we related somehow? ๐Ÿ˜„ You sound just like me. When I first purchased my D10 14 years ago I absolutely LOVED it and that's what got me hooked on taking pictures AND snorkeling. The pictures were amazing. However, after several of them dying on me, including batteries dying all the time, I learned years ago I needed one more camera as a back up and would carry 2 camera's with me. Eventually I would go on to purchase extra batteries to take along and extra chargers. I was PREPARED!! Then I switched to Olympus Tough cameras. I started with the TG4, then I bought two TG 6 after I discovered the macro on it was to die for. Then I added a GoPro Hero 7 (which is probably the crappiest GoPro ever made but it was a Black Friday special I got for cheap) and now I have the GoPro 10. I still have some of my older Olympus camera's but my munchkin cracked the screen and can only be used on land. So, it just sits around now...as a just in case. I have so much equipment I bring along with me...chargers, batteries, straps, SD cards, filters, tripods, extensions. I go all out these days and I absolutely love it! It's my passion and I get so much joy in putting my reviews and video's together. I could do this full time for sure! Maybe some day. ๐Ÿ˜Š
