  1. We went there on Sunday and mass was going on. It was a wonderful experience. It is very walkable. When you are off the ship, look for the spire of the church and follow it. You will have to walk right at the port area, go outside the parking area, cross the road towards the green colored McDonald's building and then keep walking to the church. Follow the spires. You can't miss it.
  2. When you get off the ferry at the marina and walk up to the Bakoua, there is a chair rental place on the left. They have prices for chairs, day beds, umbrella. There are not many chairs and we did not see many people renting them. As you keep walking, you will see more chairs, which we have used in the past and someone comes to collect $10. They still allow use of their chairs and day beds for a fee. No need to book anything in advance. We did not book any lunch or reservation in advance.
  3. We have done this excursion twice and are going a third time. No buses were involved. The catamaran was docked right by the ship in the marina on the right hand side. It is not the catamaran pictures by Fairgarth in a post above. The catamaran for the Celebrity/Royal excursion is quite big (Mystic), with seats, bathroom and a grill where they cook the lobster. The beaches they take you to will depend upon the weather, waves, wind and sea conditions. Some were accessible by steps that ar let down from the catamaran and you wade to the beach. Sometimes there a plank you walk down right on to the sand. It was not very hard and they are always there to help.
  4. I agree with the above. Excellent cooking lesson. We went this past October and loved it! Nicole is a darling! Adam is a wonderful host. Iyana is a great assistant. We loved the hands on class, we loved the venue, we would do it again.
  5. Hi there! Just seeing your post and yes, we know of Cosol. Five star reviews! This past October we did a day pass to a resort. We are going in January and thinking of doing the pitons cruise or the Pigeon island excursion or just chill out at Vigie Beach. I love the mud baths and volcano too, but if I take any more mud baths I will become 4 years old as they say each time you go you get 10 years younger!πŸ˜‹
  6. They started lighting ceremonies since the days after Thanksgiving. I believe they are doing the lighting thing every week till Christmas! Even merrier!πŸ˜† I was told they will keep the tree up till Jan 3., but who knows. Those gifts under the tree looked very tempting and the children (young and not so young) onboard had a hard time not touching them.πŸ˜‰
  7. After the January cruise. Enjoy your Christmas. It is always good reading about your grand kids. Hope all are doing well.
  8. I had the same thought looking at Jimbo's pictures. To see if it was a good place to stop going south. Looked it up, and no it would be quite a diversion for us. When are you guys heading to Naples?
  9. Best wishes to your Mom. I am happy for your that you didn't have to cancel. Enjoy your cruise and tell us all about it when you get back.
  10. I mentioned or quoted you two because the thought occured after reading about R and then I also remembered Dani talking about the "fine line". So it was just that. Just a thought, or a question. Nothing more. I did not say that the poster or whoever stalked. I asked exactly the same question that Dani asked. I will say that "fine lines" are very dependent on circumstance, situations and context. Let's move on in good faith.
  11. Bonnie, I am not directing this at you or Lenny or anybody specificπŸ₯°, so please please please don't take it wrongly, and am very happy that people look out for each other, and since there was a question for "what does one think" (by Dani? or someobody else here?....) I am not understanding where to draw the line between "genuine concern" and "stalking". I do notice when a regular does not post for some time, and I think maybe they want to stay that way for a bit, for some personal reason of thier own and I say a prayer for them hoping for the best.
  12. Sindhu ......Chef Atul, Michelin starred. WOW. No wonder the pics are so good. I was salivating over your food pictures of the Indian food. I have a couple of his books, but can never cook close! Now I am SOOOOOO hungry!!!!
  13. While on those snacks! They are usually OK but on a recent sailing in concierge class, I was puzzled initially figuring out if it was chocolate covered cockroach or is it something made from plastic. So I requested our room attendant (who brought them in every afternoon) that we are opting out of this "perk" and to bring it in on the days she sees shrimp cocktail or cheese and crackers. For the entire sailing after that we got plate full of shrimp cocktail (not just 3 or 4 pieces, but a plate full) and cheese with crackers.
  14. My daughter is a Dec 31 baby. Expenses (so that I don't have to hear the you are depriving me line) are way more than tax deductions! 🀣🀣
