  1. Not sure why you would say that...even the link you provided shows 25 ft waves just off the coast of Canaveral late Wednesday into Thursday. But like you said, it is now unfolding so we shall see what really develops.
  2. Robin, More than likely they will just skip Coco Cay. As it stands currently, it looks like the storm will be at its worst Wednesday into the wee hours of Thursday.

  4. I have to assume re-routes to Cozumel or maybe Cayman Island for most ships who are doing a 4 day + and scheduled for a Bahamas run only...not sure about the 3 day as there is not enough time to do much of anything than the Bahamas.

  6. The waves are forecast to be 25-30 ft. This level of wave would be noticed by all passengers. It always cracks me up to read posts from people who consider themselves to be sea dogs and make statements like oh I love it ...higher the better...rocks me to sleep. In reality, it is total nonsense. 15+ waves shut down most entertainment, pools and the like. No one wants to see others being sick. It ruins the vacation. Fortunately, it is rare but sometimes there is no avoiding it. Should be an interesting week ahead...
  7. Leave this Monday for a week on the Indy for a 4 and then a 3 day. Not looking good. Waves forecasted to be up to 10+ near shore and 25+ offshore. Seems it will hang around until Thursday. At this point hoping for an itinerary change...Cozumel weather looks great.
  8. Not if you factor in the pre- paid cruise fare cost of the meal. Secondly comparing Mortons or Capital Grille to the steak on the cruise ship is quite a leap.
  9. A couple dollars goes a long long way in Haiti but I think in the event of a robbery the criminals would be more interested in the jewelry people wear. The port itself is usually safe, however there have been issues from upset locals surrounding the area by boat. In addition I often find the little craft village to be somewhat sketchy with desperate vendors refusing to take no for an answer. That being said, out of all my travels Jamaica is the port stop I usually feel most uncomfortable.
  10. Perfect thanks...I have relayed to him.
  11. Hoping someone has first hand knowledge of how this will work. My friend is doing a back to back on the Indy next week. The first leg he will have his two kids and the second leg he will be dropping them off with the Grandparents at the port, then of course re-boarding. What would be likely the process? Is it possible to get his new sailing card for the second leg in advance prior to disembarking to drop the kids off?
  12. It used to be they would give you your block while on the ship if you made the required number of points during that specific sailing. Do they still do this or is everything by mail?
  13. Why would they cancel the booking when clearly there are other people on the same booking...makes no sense. It is just a simple matter of a clerical error that will be resolved at the port during embarkation.
  14. I am sure if there was something to tell the OP would have been back here in a flash to report it. Keep in mind originally the OP took time out of her cruise to post about it...so if there was some amazing ending...we would probably have been updated by now. It is not like she is a newby...she has over 100 posts lifetime on the site.
  15. Only Disney allows a 6 back of beer to be brought onboard at port stops. Royal does not.
  16. Ask for the drink of the day without the souvenir cup and the price is even less.
  17. Mega Pro Tips- For that occasional pool side drink, carry on a couple mini's at each port stop to mix with complimentary juice. Visit the onboard art auction and jewelry stores for complimentary champagne. Captains' gala event (when it comes back) for free champagne toast Watch the planner for taste testing in the ships liquor store Make friends with a D and above passenger who does not drink Collect 2500 (PRIME) points in the casino and get free beverages in the casino bar.
  18. The difference is...I am not assuming anything...I am open to the concept of any possibility until it is proven otherwise...a few others are making "definitive" statements. Until the OP comes back and says it was stolen and security provided the evidence...everything until then is pure conjecture.
  19. There has been zero evidence someone stole her voucher. What has been stated by the OP is she misplaced her purse. The purse was found and turned in. The purse was missing a voucher the OP is certain was in the purse prior to misplacing it. For some reason, many have quickly assumed the voucher was stolen...skipping over all other possibilities... Some other possible outcome examples to consider... voucher was lost by the OP prior to misplacing her purse or maybe the voucher fell out of the purse on the way to being turned in by the good Samaritan...in addition, the OP may have mistakenly forgot she had previously cashed voucher and lastly a voucher may never have existed. That being said, the correct response would be to wish the OP well in finding resolution to her issue.
  20. Well ok then...here is my rough draft...parody of 50 ways to leave your lover... The problem is all inside the purse security said to me…the answer is easy if you take it logically. I’d like to help you in your struggle but there will be a fee. There must be 50 ways to lose your voucher…50 ways to lose your voucher…It just slipped out the backpack, slot tech found it on the deck, heck, no need to be coy Joy just get yourself OBC … so it’s time to make a new plan Anne… so, he dropped off the cursed purse, we don’t need to discuss much …just go on a shopping spree with your new OBC.
  21. Well... it will be the OP word against whomever cashed it unless video shows something different. Was the ticket legitimately found somewhere on the ship or was the supersonic video (as Pompey describes as being able to see a Nat on a fly) show something nefarious? Either way the back of the ticket says Royal is not responsible for lost tickets. Therefore, the money is gone and a valuable lesson for all of us. I never walk out of the casino with a ticket over 50.00 bucks...too many things can happen...kid spills a drink on it in the cabin making it no longer legible...room service delivery blows it out the balcony door...accidentally toss it in the trash with the plethora of Spa marketing material...maybe I will write a book...a hundred ways to lose your casino voucher on a ship...
  22. They have a team at their HQ who are responsible for monitoring social media. If it is a big enough issue or trend it will get attention internally.
  23. You back on this thread for another round Pompey lol...just for the record, as of now, we have no evidence the ticket was stolen. For all we know the ticket could have fallen out of the bag and is still stuck to someone's sandal or scooter wheel.
  24. Vouchers which get lost or are not cashed out equates to more money for the casino. Now the positive side of it from a gambler point of view... I like the vouchers though because I often use them as tip money to the bar staff and they can easily be transferred from machine to machine unlike the sea pass method where you constantly have to log into your account and transfer the money. In addition, often the machine keypad does not work properly so you wind up not playing where you wanted to.
