  1. Good Morning from a warming and sunny day at the beach Happy Valentine`s Day to all of you. @superoma very Happy Birthday to your twins. @Suslor A very Happy Birthday your DH Lots of people traveling. Great to hear. I know there are a lot of people in town. Was in Orlando yesterday and it was crazy! Playing golf this afternoon. It will be some extra exercise because it is "cart path only" due to fertilization. I am hoping that cuts down on the crowd. We will see. Finally got our travel insurance for the VOV. YIKES! Unfortunately it is a necessary expense to me anyway. Be safe and enjoy today Charlene
  2. @MISTER 67 Happy Birthday to you! May you have many more. enjoy your golf game!
  3. I just noticed that I have been a member of Cruise Critic for 23 years today! Where has the time gone!
  4. Good Morning from a warming and sunny day at the beach Currently 68 and going to 76 and n wind. It will be a nice day. Plan on walking the beach later to see how much erosion has occurred with all that turbulent surf we have had the last week. We no longer receive a newspaper. In fact it is even difficult to buy one here. Publix and Walgreens have a few of the Orlando newspaper but that about it. I like cream cheese brownies and green bean casserole. Never been to the port. @Haljo1935 A very Hapopy Birthday to you! May you have many more. @JazzyV Thank you for keeping our list for a year. I dont know how you do it! This is such a wonderful thread. People are so caring about each other. We learn si much here, how to cook, garden, travel and port info, geography and past hstory. It is amazing! Lot to do today so best get at it! Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene
  5. Good Morning from a very windy day at the beach We have gale force winds and a pounding surf. Waves are predicted to be 18 feet high. Will stay off the beach today! I was saddened to hear about Toby Keith. I enjoy his music and he seemed to be a very nice man. May he rest in peace. Poor King Charles. I hope that his treatments are successful. It shows that no one is immune from that terrible disease. @ger_77 Good news about the appointment change. Hope DH has good results. @seagarsmoker Best of luck with your new job. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene
  6. Havent seen any of your posts which I enjoy very much for awhile. Hope all is Ok.
  7. Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit Good Morning from a sunny but cool day at the beach Sun is shining, the sky is blue and the ocean is calm. No complaints. Car insurance or any insurance makes my eyes water. A necessary evil. Probably should change my passwords. We were at Lake Gatun in the mid 90s. I remember the Columbia very well. We were all lined up waiting for the landing when the announcement was made of a "System Failure". We all just stood there in shock not really comprehending at first what had happened. Sad, sad day. Prayers for their families and all the very brave men and women of the space program. @NextOne Sending strong thoughts to you today on your DDDH birthday. @smitty34877 Hope your household gets better soon. Stay well. Playing golf this afternoon. A little later than usual but with all the visitors here, it is busy. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene
  8. @bennybear I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. That is a beautiful picture .
  9. Good Morning from a cool and sunny day at the beach Temps will be in mid 70s today so a nice day. I do appreciate my Social Security check but like most, I paid into it since I was 14 years old. We are scheduled to go to Belfast on the VOV this summer so thanks for the pictures. Have been to Ireland a few times but never to Belfast. I am looking forward to it. It is great to see so many cruising. It is like the pre pandemic days. They are building 2 new badly needed parking garages at Port Canaveral. That port has grown so much in the last few years. Now the infrastructure needs to catch up. It is the end of the month, so money counting day at the library. The money is from used book sales and a copy machine. We use the money to put back into programs. Our annual membership drive starts next week. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene
  10. Hard to believe your trip is over. I have certainly enjoyed all your posts and pictures. Safe travels home.

Not sure if you are going to Exmouth in Australia. If you are, ask him to tell the story of the "Emu Wars". It is very funny.

  14. Good Morning from a warming and cloudy day at the beach Currently 70degrees but expected to go to 79 today. A few more days of warm before going back to the 60s. I know. Nothing to complain about. I do enjoy a good belly laugh and I laugh often. It is good for you. Dont like beer, so I really dont pay much attention to the cans. Pets are a game changer. They certainly play a big role in our lives. Have not been to todays port. Wiould have liked to but probably not. Thank you all for the very warm welcome to our latest addition, Ryan Charles. Mom and baby both doing well. She will be in the hospital for a few days but is OK. @dfish Congratulations to Sue on her new grandbaby. @Cruising-along A very Happy Birthday to you. May you enjoy many more. @aliaschief Hope you get into Easter Island today. @RMLincoln Hope your DH is doing better today. Playing golf this afternoon. 16. Well some really good news. My nephew ( who is also my Godson) and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby boy this AM. She was having a problem pregnancy and had trouble with their first delivery. So we were all very concerned. She was sent to Beth Israel in Boston and delivered a 10 pound, 10oz boy. Yes that is not a typo! His name is Ryan Charles. Charles is after my late brother . This would be his first Grandson. Cant post pictures until I have permission. He looks like he is ready to join the Team!
  17. Good Morning from a sunny and warming day at the beach It is currently 73 degrees. Perfec! Suppose to be warm for the next several days. I was taught to write via the Palmer method. Dont think I will be measuring my feet. Love Pies of all varieties. Have not been to todays port. @smitty34877 a very Happy Birthday to you! 20. Good Morning from a sunny but cold day at the beach I dont own any sweatpants and only have 2 pair of sox to wear with golf shoes. Usually wear sandals. @StLouisCruisers Sandi, Thank you for the great pictures of Singapore. Brought back many memories. DH spent a lot of time there in his working years, even had an apartment in Clark Quay. I was only able to go once but it was wonderful. It is on our booked WC for 2025 and really looking forward to it. Our weather remains cool and windy. Suppose to warm up to mid 80s by Wednesday. Its an El Nino year and this is what we get! Hope everyone stays warm and comfortable. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene
