  1. I ask for towel animals - even though they stopped offering this service. I just ask our steward for them the first day and they happen.
  2. La Cucina for dinner. The veal (not pictured) was so dry I ended up only having bread dipped in olive oil, balsamic, and parmesan for dinner. My husband loved the lasagna but said the pasta fagiole soup was salty. The service was great and the desserts were 🔥
  3. Haven breakfast … …. and decided to try Taste for lunch - I appreciate the variety, a changing menu, and desserts that are far better than what you get in the Haven.
  4. @BSR Gian said he’ll be here until November 20something. @Sthrngary Rogi said he’ll be here ‘til March; not sure about April.
  5. Dinner last night was in the Haven restaurant. We got there at 6:30 and it was packed so we had to sit outside. It was just us outside and we were completely forgotten. Service was super super super slow …. 😐 However, that slow roasted pork belly appetizer was delicious!
  6. I sailed Haven/Bliss in March. You bet, I did! If there’s a place for snacks, I’m on it - lol
  7. I don’t have time to look for it right this second (and I try to preserve my minutes), but find the thread of @Sthrngary where he’s got Haven secrets – there is a wealth of information there.
  8. It was the first day of Coke on this ship. However, it sounds like they still have some remaining Pepsi products that they’re still using/getting rid of.
  9. Our butler is Rogi - he came by and introduced himself and I gave him our letter (tip from @Sthrngary) with $60 in it. He said he’d read it later; no problem, I know he’s busy getting everyone settled. However, my husband is battling stage IV cancer and one of the letter items was extra blankets because he gets really cold. Those were delivered with a quickness! So far, so good … 😊
  10. American Diner - free for Haven guests ‘til 3pm. The nachos (with sour cream and guacamole) were good. The milkshake (not complementary) was way too sweet - and warm. 👎 The French dip was salllllty but the fries were 🔥
  11. … and it’s the first day they have Coke on this ship. 🎉 We’re in the Haven and were pleased to see Gian is still the concierge (he was aboard when we were on the Bliss in March). If you have any questions, ask away. Once I figure out the internet access situation I will be back. 😉
  12. Coke! -- though it sounds like this is changing ... and my dogs. The pupper hotel sends us a daily picture of them and it makes me sad for a few minutes.
  13. We did a circle cruise to Hawaii when our kids were about ... 8 and 10; that was not their first cruise however. There was one night the seas were rough - they had to close the decks, and a lot of elderly people got banged up. The way we avoid seasickness is Bonine. The kids and I take Bonine twice a day and we've never had an issue. We also drink Ginger Ale - is there actually ginger in it? IDK, but that's what we do. The kids were enrolled in the kids clubs and enjoyed that a lot. It seems like that cruise getting there was fun, being on the islands was fun, but sailing back home was a lonnnnng 5 days or however many it was.
  14. I agree 100% --- @Sthrngary starting these Haven threads have been of great help to us planning our first Haven cruise (this past March) and our upcoming one in 2 weeks. And, @CDR Benson much of your report is in-line with us and what we have done and our thoughts ... the barflies (lol) it's the same group always, hanging out in the Haven observation lounge ... same wants and needs ... and bum knees too! We're sailing the Bliss but hope to have an equally serene sailing as you all did.
  15. "they arranged for the GMB to have a wheelchair available for debark/embark at every port visit;" We have reached out to the pre-cruise Haven concierge and asked for a wheelchair for my husband at embarkation and debarkation. They then sent us a form to fill out and said they would let everyone know and mark our reservation accordingly, etc. But does that include on/off at ports, do you (or anyone) know? I'm not sure he would need it there, just the initial and end embarkation and debarkation because it's a longer walk. But now you have me wondering if I should/could ask for port wheelchair assistance or if they are already planning to do it with the request I put in.
  16. I saw the Coco's menu - and pictures of the shakes; they look soooo good + reasonably priced compared to what those kind of shakes are priced at in the city. I think we're on the same sailing, @VUCruiser, I'm definitely hittin' up Coco's!
  17. Gahhhhh! Thanks for sharing! - I sailed Haven the first time in March; this is my husband's first time. Soooooo excited.
  18. Our check-in time is 9-9:30 (we've never had one that early). So, we'll sit for an hour +/- in the Haven area of check-in and then be taken on board first, is that what you're saying? And, if rooms won't be ready yet .... is there eat or drink yet? Like if we hang out in the Haven observation lounge where they usually have a little buffet of snacks, will that be ready yet?
