  1. Yes - and you can see the menu here: https://profcruise.com/norwegian-dining-and-restaurant-menus-2022/
  2. You are asking tender time from ship to port in Cabo? It's like 10 minutes once you are on the tender itself. And walking off that to the end of the pier is like another 5 minutes. I've not heard of this 90-minute thing unless that's unique to the individual ship's process and that's what you're asking about.
  3. I agree completely. It's like a Hard Rock in the US. I don't go to Mexico for experiences I can get in the US; though I reckon others may because it's their style and that's fine ... just not my thing different stroke for different folks.
  4. It doesn't get much closer than Wizzie's - right there in front of the pier, you can't miss it; it's an upstairs restaurant. Their nachos are bomb. I usually hang out there while the family goes on an excursion that I am not interested in (they are doing whale-watching this time, March, and I'll be chillin' at Wizzie's with my nachos and a margarita ... or two).
  5. Pretty sure that's Playa Mazatlan: https://www.hotelplayamazatlan.com/ -- we love Playa Mazatlan - we've been there 5 times, I think - all as an excursion through the cruise line. Full beach, bathrooms, several pools, and a buffet lunch. It's not offered on our next sailing because we're getting in early and leaving early afternoon, so that's kind of a bummer. We love that place - soooo much food, and soooo good; safe, and clean too; totally worth the price if this is the same place ... + considering it includes the transportation.
  6. Yes; I'm not a huge fan of Cabo Wabo because it's so American. More-so than other places, I'd say. I like Wizzie's that is right there in front of the pier, you can't miss it; it's an upstairs restaurant. Their nachos are bomb. I usually hang out there while the family goes on an excursion that I am not interested in (they are doing whale-watching this time, March, and I'll be chillin' at Wizzie's with my nachos and a margarita ... or two).
  7. You don't have a day butler and a night butler in the Haven; you have 1 butler and 1 room steward. If you order room service at night in the Haven, you call the butler line and then it's another butler who brings it and you can tip them like you would any room service delivery - a couple bucks or whatever you do or don't want to do. But they aren't your butler, they are only the one who is on night duty for Haven room service.
  8. We booked spring break 2023 on the Bliss (us and our 18 yo) for $434 PP/day sailing in The Haven Courtyard Penthouse with Balcony (ADA room).
  9. As someone else said, on embarkation day, the spa lady was there with the list of offerings and booking things for you. However, on another day I wanted to book something else and went to the Haven concierge and he just picked up the phone and called them, said what I needed and what time, and got it booked.
  10. LOL - I feel bad for people named Karen tehse sd WOW - the nerve .... "but you never responded" - true or not, you aren't an employee and you don't have to respond. Wowzers .... secret haters suck. You are thorough and helpful to any and all ... I'm sorry that got to you; but, they suck. And that passive-aggressive don't worry, don't respond, I've blocked you BS ... just ... wow. Nah, forget about them.
  11. Same - always noon-1. And your particular room may be ready, but to avoid confusion and having some people overhear that someone else's room is ready and think that theirs is too, it's likely easier for them to just wait and make one clear announcement that all the rooms are done. When we sailed last month, we were told that we could go to our room and put our things down (only had a small backpack) but that the rooms were not ready. Someone had to explain to someone else that it meant you can go peek, but you can't stay. I think they try really hard to have them ready as soon as possible .... but I remember even after the rooms were ready our butler still brought flowers in later that afternoon ... and the bowl of fruit. Our boarding plan is always to hit up the American Diner (or whatever complimentary meal for Haven folks) - or the garden cafe if not in Haven - eat, relax, check out the scenery ... grab a drink, and lounge. There will be plenty of time to be in the room later.
  12. We started cruising 12 years ago when our kids were young. I don't fly - so it's hard for us to go anywhere - and were used to taking road trips everywhere. Then someone at work mentioned a cruise and I was a little intrigued, but scared. He insisted I start with an Alaska Inside Passage sailing where I could see land the entire time (tricking my mind in to thinking if the ship sinks I could swim ashore, I guess - lol). We sailed with HAL and we absolutely love it! I prepped myself with Bonine for seasickness and Ativan for fear (there's not enough Ativan in the world to get me on a plane tho) and it was smoooooth sailing for us. We followed that up with a Disney cruise to Mexico, and then a HAL circle cruise to Hawaii. The rest were Mexico with NCL and our most recent NCL cruise last month was to Alaska. We have to drive from Boise to the ports - Vancouver, Seattle, So Cal, so it does take us some time to get there and back, and we have less options on where we can travel to, but, that's ok. We actually planned to drive to Galveston and do a Panama Canal one at Thanksgiving a few years ago (before COVID) but it was cancelled - we were so bummed! So, it's Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii for us - and that's just fine. I do love hearing about the other ships and places y'all sail to tho.
  13. They do not -- but we asked on our last (2) sailings, and received them every night. Like others have said, just depends on the steward.
  14. Watching this because I think we haven't gotten great pricing on our Haven sailings. I'm debating when is the best time to book a Haven sailing. We've only done it twice and I'm now in the "sail less and do Haven than sail more and not do Haven" camp. It seems like your room choice is better when you book farther in advance --- and I only want to be on a Haven proper deck --- but then your price is higher then, isn't it? Just wondering if there is any magical time to book where you can get a better price/deal and have options .... When we sailed last month there were people who booked in the past few days and got on suuuuuuper cheap (NOT Haven) but I would imagine that doesn't happen with the Haven.
  15. ... too many ... Don't have the next cruise booked yet. 👎 Working on it though --- look at you all in single digits! 🎉
  16. ^ and if it doesn't, every time you go to a specialty dining restaurant they ask if you are using your dining package ... so that they explain what it includes. So, you'll have the ability to confirm it if something goes awry with the reservation pricing/quoting piece.
  17. LOL - this gave me a chuckle. Gen X here - not too far behind you ... not too much grey yet though. Boards are mixed but mostly kind and helpful. Seems like they have simmered down in the last 5 years or so. Less people annoyed with people for things they can search for and more people who will just answer the question with a smile. We sailed last month - barely used the app: once or twice to look up a menu ... another time when we were out and about and needed a time for something. With the exception of menus, everything you need is in the dailies, and we are old school and treat the dailies like we would a morning newspaper. Enjoy your cruise - I'm jealous .... we sailed once at Christmas and would love to do it again! 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅
  18. 100% agree - the pizza at La Cucina is surprisingly NOT good. The tableside guacamole at Los Lobos is soooooooooooooooooooooo good.
  19. We actually saw a grandmother (very clearly was the grandmother of the group) in the Haven lounge at debarkation in the robe and the slippers. I'm like - I hope granny knows she's payin' for that! 😬🙃
  20. Got them and used them last month on the Bliss; and took the extra pair home for grandma's Christmas stocking - lol
  21. I agree - if you tipped it all upfront, how would they know if more was coming? And, would they err on thinking more was coming - - and then it didn't? Maybe I'm overthinking your question too - - but I like the 1/3 (or less) idea, that's what we do.
  22. Photos in crew areas, really? I have seen that on those Below Deck television shows. I did wonder on our recent sailing how a hostess in the Haven restaurant who we had not yet seen greeted us by name before getting our cards. Hmmm ... I can only hope we were in the nice column - lol
  23. No idea how we got that. We weren't in any fancy-schmancy room and never saw a price list for sodas either. Maybe we just had a butler that went above and beyond? I have no idea ... but it sounds like that should definitely not be our expectation next time!
  24. We did have the beverage package, but never discussed it with our butler.
