  1. This is very true and listed as such on the Carnival website.
  2. So the letter you posted was from the initial cancellation. Did you click the link and make your selection using the online tool? Did you book your new cruise prior to 9/30/2021? Is your new cruise sailing before 4/30/2023? If you can answer yes to all of those, I would keep calling back until I received satisfaction.
  3. TBH, you've only been allowed to take them on for in port use. I know that some people are really into their drone use, but since so many ports don't allow them and there were so many people trying to use them on board (even though they weren't supposed to), I can kind of see where they are coming from.
  4. I think that I saw somewhere that there was a storm heading your way, so I would think that is why.
  5. I don't recall that they ever "gave" you one. Over the last 10 years there has been one available to purchase and there still is.
  6. Thanks for the recommendation on the tour company. Yes, he will have a scooter for the ship and ports of call. He's working hard to get better with distances, but certainly couldn't handle walking around the ports 🙂 I'm hoping that by the time we leave, he will be able to do the 4 block walk. Right now, it's a bit of a stretch.
  7. Hi, all!! We have just planned an Alaskan adventure and having never been to Seattle, we plan to arrive very early Sunday morning prior to a Tuesday cruise (like 1am). We will be staying at a hotel near the airport for convenience and would rather not rent a car. What is the best way for us to do sightseeing with minimal walking (DH has some issues with distances)? Do you have any recommendations for us???
  8. I would think that you would need premium for this. If you want to try the value plan and find that it is not enough, you can upgrade right in the Hub app. No need to go to GS.
  9. ^^^^ @babygrljazhas it right. That's all you need. The social media plan is only social media and I think that the premium is overkill for what you want.
  10. Perhaps if we understood how you wish to use the internet, we could better advise you on which plan would be best for your needs/desires.
  11. I got the same letter for my July cruise, and that is how I read it. 3 days out for PCR and 2 days out for antigen. I agree, it's strange.
  12. While there is no formal distinction (see what I did there 🤣), most people tend to dress up a little more and more people seem to dress up for the first cruise elegant night than they do for the second.
  13. If you have combined accounts (i.e., all being charged to one credit card), then it should be a credit to the combined total. If you look at the accounts individually, it will likely only show on his. We've done this in the past and never had an issue with the charges for both of us being consumed by cruise cash. Since cruise cash is essentially purchasing credits to your S&S account, then anything charged to your S&S account will be offset by the cruise cash, including gratuities.
  14. Buffet has been self-serve almost since the return. Masks are no longer required. Social distancing on board has always been a joke. Cruise at your own risk, but don't expect everyone to be as careful as you seem to think they should.
  15. Just remember to keep the Hub app open in the background to get notifications. I won't work unless it's open.
  16. There are no special rates offered to frequent users of the spa, like there are for frequent gamblers.
  17. Actually, it does cover bottled water, bottled teas, etc. Just not energy drinks. And on most Carnival ships soda is served from cans.
  18. People choose to do the "two-step" because you can only cash out refundable OBC. Non-refundable OBC requires the work around.
  19. It is basically the same as Cheers. All drinks up to $20 (with some exclusions) are covered up to 15 alcoholic drinks per day. All non-alcoholic drinks except the cold-pressed juices in the MDR and (I think) a couple of bottled items are included with no limits.
  20. You cannot check FCC amounts online. You would have to call Carnival to validate that the amount is available to you. When you book your next cruise, you will have to request that the amount be applied. It will not happen automatically. It's not like you have a "customer account" with a credit (silly, I know).
  21. Yes, you can. Just remember that cruise cash is use it or lose it.
