Dockside @ 15th Street Fisheries (downstairs) may fit your bill nicely. It’s on the water, not far at all from the hotels on 17th Street, and within your price range. The restaurant is pictured in the Southwest Airlines ads featuring Fort Lauderdale. You can feed the tarpon just outside the restaurant (always entertaining for kids).
https://www.15streetfisheries.com/menus ( use the menu in the upper left to select the downstairs/dockside menu).
may have to try that on the day before our cruise starts in December ... we ate at Southport Raw Bar in May and enjoyed the laid back 'tude ...

Pretty sure this is the little 3 day U.S. inaugural out of FLL/PE on the SKY Princess ... we're on it also
cruise has been showing 'SOLD OUT' almost from the start
guessing inventory control has taken over all the bookings, or lack thereof, seeing how many VIPs, TA's eventually sign up
Final payment is due 9/20 , so that may , or not, be the next time any changes
we've been booked since the day it came out, and would jump at a move over, or even move down in a heartbeat ...

Not an exact answer but as close as I can offer...
We partially paid for an upcoming cruise with a combination of FCD and Princess Visa (we had a refund we wanted to apply). Then, during 4X gas points at Kroger, DH bought $500 in Princess gift cards and I applied those to the booking. We still had a few $100 balance left, but it was three weeks before final payment. Then the cruise fare dropped enough before final payment that we had already overpaid for the cruise. We received the refund back to our credit card, not to a gift card.
I guess now I'm just thinking about buying generic visa cards from the 4x promotion ... then if we have to cancel, even if it goes back to the gift card ... well, that can be spent anywhere
what am I missing ?
side note: it is my son that has the Kroger gas card, and I will be giving him the money, of course , or going with him to purchase about 2 weeks before final is due

What would happen if you used gc’s to pay for your cruise & had to cancel your cruise? I would assume before final payment it would be refunded with a GC ? If after final payment & u had to file an insurance claim I assume they would send a check?
good question ... for me at least ... waiting for answer

Surge protected power strips will have a small LED with the word "protected" next to it (this is not the light in the on/off switch), and should have something on the back that mentions "VPN= xxx volts", or "joules of protection", or "clamping voltage". All of these are terms that measure surge protector effectiveness.
will you provide a link to the device you use on board ships to charge your devices ?

Voljeep: Normally its 2x fuel points, but I wait for the 4x fuel points so that gets me 2000 points. That equals a dollar off a tank of gas 2x.
just a $ off a tank - I thought I heard somewhere before it was a $ a gallon off ...
not really worth it for just a $
anyway - thanks

I purchased Princess gift cards from Kroger. Easy to apply to cruise payment. Could also use for on board credit. Not sure what you mean by flexible, but seem easy to use and gain fuel points for me.
how much fuel credit from Kroger with a purchase of $ 500 in Princess gift cards ?

the only thing I can add is to follow that letter in your stateroom to the "T"... make sure if you are told to be at an assigned place at an assigned time ... be there, or it may hold up the whole process for B2B cruisers

Never say never but I completely get what you are saying, though. I’ve found a great deal on a window suite in the past ... so very nice! But, like you, many of my sailings are in the value cabins: an obstructed oceanview ... best bargains on the ship! I also have an inside cabin booked on another line and will be happy to be sailing in that cabin as well.
I think it is great that people can get the cabin type they want and can afford ... and I can honestly say, I’m not in the least bit jealous! I am just thankful to be able to cruise a couple times a year!
Never have I met anybody that was snobby from one of the full suite cabins! As a matter of fact, the ones we’ve met have been more than generous and some of them have remained friends long after our cruise was over!
Keep your eyes open for the suite deals.... maybe one day.
our one and only was from an upsell ... and worth every $ for the experience - even just on a 4 day
ranking the 'perks'
shower and separate tub
Sabatini's breakfast
club class
nice balcony and able to order off mdr menu
free same day laundry
all others including mini bar, fruit, flowers,
i'm certain I left out a few, maybe even a major one
but, yeah ... so loved just watching my wife enjoy even the smallest things like the sleep package...

Princess' website is going to be down for over 24 hours beginning later on this evening (6:25pm PST). Here's hoping they are fixing/changing the cruise finder and booking experience.
what's wrong with it ?

Anybody in mini-suites/suites with bad ac?
do they place a priority over fixing them depending on the room category?
I feel like nobody should have bad air conditioning. This is ridiculous.
so you've never had any A/C problems at your house and waited on a tech to check it out ?

On Royal the cup has to be sitting on the base for the RFID to activate the machine. The dispenser is inches from the top of the cup. Not to mention the lid is off the cup and most people drink with the lid on. There were 16 of us on Allure last October and no one got sick... didn't see anyone sick on the ship the whole trip.
LOVE the Freestyle machines! Hope it's on Regal next summer!
Royal - as in Royal Caribbean ships, not the Royal Princess ship, correct ???

Has anyone heard when the Coke Freestyle Machines will be installed? I am looking forward to having some caffeine free options. I’m hoping they will be added before our cruise on the Royal Princess.

I was thinking you had that info ahead of boarding - that was my question..
I do know that the info is available onboard - we just disembarked from the Star Princess from Alaska and were invited to the MT party - it was lovely.....maybe we will be invited to the one on this next trip....we shall see.
thanks...
semi-hijack .. by your profile pick - I know your 'dopplegangers' - or is that really y'all PJ ?

I actually enjoy the curry chicken over rice, and the fried shrimp is also quite good. And the bread pudding is pretty decent, too.
correct - we have seen the fried shrimp on some cruises ... certainly not all
and it was good ...
and as others stated - place is packed, but turnaround is quick because of the limited menu

I would NOT book now because today's promo in a NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 10%. A lot can change for a Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 cruise that would require you to cancel.
but not really ...just call Princess or your TA and request the fully refundable rate ...

Anyone have any idea when Princess will have their next "3 for Free" promotion? I'm itching to start booking another cruise for Fall 2020/Spring 2021. I don't like to wait until the last minute to book as we are very particular about the cabins we book.
Thanks.
Doug
book now .. get the cabin you want ... then change to 3FF when it comes out if a better promotion than now
