  1. Again, thank you Joanie, for taking us with you! Your comments, descriptions, photos and Humor are fantastic. Except, I’m not certain I’ll ever look at a zip lock bag the same again!!
  2. Next April we will be flying ITA Rome to Miami non stop. I’m also not too optimistic about the ITA flight, but being non stop makes it (hopefully) worth it! Loved every moment on the Splendor and look forward to hearing about your flight, hotel and of course the Splendor!!
  3. Love your review, comments, humor and writing style, Georgia Peach!!! Thank you for once again taking us along with you! Bonnie
  4. Ahhh, that’s it… I call it the 601 pole!!
  5. I often say that when I board an airplane I want to hear the flight attendant say “ YOUR SEAT IS TO THE LEFT”
  6. For so many obvious reasons, this has been one of the most important, dynamic threads I’ve seen in many years! Often in the past, on a significant or stressful thread, someone from Regent has chimed in. And sometimes that has ‘cooled the waters’ so to speak!! Just wonder if anyone at RSSC is monitoring this thread now, or have I missed something??
  7. Gpilon, Plates of Tapas and Pitchers of Sangria on the Majestic rooftop is perfection!! Enjoy every moment. And thanks for the Blacklane tip!!
  8. Sounds like a good plan! I really liked the Majestic…junior suite was excellent and service and location couldn’t be better!
  9. It was about 15 years ago that we were on the Navigator in #601. I remember that we were thrilled to get that suite as it was a bit bigger than others in the same category. I also remember that there was some kind of (narrow in diameter) small pole or floor to ceiling post near the bed. Hard to describe but it wasn’t a hindrance. I also remember that #600 and 601 were the same. And anchor noise was not a big deal.
  10. Thank you all for sharing your very experienced dealings with Regent Air. For the reasons I discussed in my original posting above, I will most likely continue using Regent Air, as my only airline status is with RA!!
  11. The horrific war in Israel brings up a far less significant issue ….. regarding Regent travel. I’ve always used Regent air mostly because I felt that in a war, covid shut down, whatever…it would be Regent’s responsibility to get me quickly and safely home or to the readjusted port. In a fast evolving crisis I didn’t want the stress of dealing with airlines or being on hold for hours trying to reschedule. Perhaps that would be easier than waiting for Regent to potentially zig zag my way home?? The ongoing and concerning thread you all are sharing aboard the Voyager prompts my thinking…..
  12. I agree with swansong…For the past many years, almost every pre cruise hotel has been seriously underwhelming! And the included transfer to port was such that we now Uber to the port, or arrange a private car. It is a shame as it does not reflect the outstanding experience once on board Regent!
  13. I just posted the above with my first ever photo attached! It was one of the very early “post lockdown” cruises on Splendor. We were at La Veranda lunch on day one. The attitude of our amazing server was shared by all the crew and all the passengers!! Perfect expression of joy that I, and most everyone I encounter continue to share on Regent!
  14. I’ve cruised on Regent for many years… most recently on Explorer and twice on Splendor. Have never had anything but wonderful experiences. I lurk/check in on CC frequently, especially just prior to a cruise. As a result I’ve come to ‘know’ many of the posters. Smart, angry, experienced, diehard cheerleaders…all posters make for interesting and usually very helpful information. The often posted advise to relax, direct concerns immediately to appropriate staff, and not to sweat the small stuff is spot on!!
  15. Since many of the pre and post cruise land tours are complementary, are they particularly crowded?
  16. To add to Gray Lady’s questions….we will be flying from Miami into Barcelona with a return in Rome back to Miami. I believe American has a non stop to Barcelona and for return, Alitalia has a non stop back to Miami. We obviously prefer non stop flights when possible. Any suggestions or other options are appreciated!!
  17. Sorry, the smiley face with sunglasses above should have been the number eight!
  18. Yes, Gcto explained it … and in Prime 7, the back of the restaurant is where they seem to hold tables for the named suites. It’s especially nice back there. And they have a large (table of 😎 held, I think for guests in the Regent Suite!
  19. Cazenovia is a cute village in Central NY…where I am now!
  20. Oops…sorry about the double post. The above was supposed to be just my offer of prayers that you get back to PSL without further mishaps!!
  21. 🙏Welcome back Z and TB. Hope your trip home is/was easy! Miss you guys and like everyone, loved your posts and pics. Thanks for taking us along. I’m in Cazenovia (yup, Camillus112…crazy, huh!!!) off and on for the summer but hope to see you in PSL soon! Better yet, on the next cruise!
