  1. I looked online at the amenities for the suites and I did not see bathrobes listed. Could someone please tell me.
  2. Thank you. I was getting our cruise ships confused. Please tell me if the Terrace Cafe has table service? I just looked at both and it looks like at Waves, you order at a counter or it's a buffet.
  3. Did I read somewhere that we can place our carry-ons in our cabins when we board even though the rooms might not be ready? Are the rooms kept locked even if they are unfinished? And, is lunch available in the luminae on embarkation day for suite guests? Thank you! We board on Sunday!
  4. May I ask what time did you go to the port and did you take the tunnel or the bridge? Last time we went to Miami port it was awful getting to an RCCL ship, but I understand that Oceania port is on the south side of the port and should be an easier access. Is that accurate?
  5. Thank you! We have booked Eden and next we will book the Rooftop grill. We are on the cruise for 7 days only. Does the Luminae menu change every night? Is it open for breakfast and lunch? On RCCL's Coastal Kitchen the menu rotates every four days. (Actually, that's the lunch menu, not sure about the dinner menu.) My husband usually likes a steakhouse on a ship, so, if the Luminae menu is boring, we will probably do that. Do you know if I book a reservation online now and we choose not to go, will we get a refund (we'd pay with our OBC.) I've heard positive and negative reviews of Le Petit Chef. Some say it's for kids; others say it's an experience but the food is just so-so, and others thought it was excellent.Maybe it's good for lunch.
  6. We will be in our first Retreat suite soon. I'd like to know how enjoyable the Luminae is as I'm wondering how many specialty restaurants to book. Please share your reviews. I also just read someone asking if one can see a show from the Eden restaurant. What did this mean? Is there a show in the Eden? If so, whst time would that be? Please help me plan!
  7. I booked and was assigned an S2 immediately! Very excited! Thanks for all the info.
  8. I'm really surprised that a Suite Guarantee is purchased towards a specific suite category. I thought a guarantee is toward ANY suite that happens to open up. There were no choices for a specific category.
  9. Has anyone had any experience with a suite guarantee? We have never done this as we usually select our cabin. But, we may try it on the Apex. What has been your experiences?
  10. I am very familiar with RCCL entertainment in their evening venues and with their morning games before we reach a port. But, what do they offer for 6-8 days at sea? We are considering taking one, but are unsure if we can handle that many days away from land.
  11. Ruth C. That’s why we gave up on HAL. We feel the entertainment is a priority, second to the itinerary (unless it’s a Caribbean cruise. Then entertainment is first.)
  12. I'd like to know if the stage shows are still only the dancers? Do they still have the Planet Earth video with music? I'd also like to know if Dueling Pianos are there? Is there a Piano Bar? I'm pretty sure there is a dance band. Please let me know about any other entertainment. We sailed HAL many times, but we didn't enjoy the entertainment like we used to. Has it changed? We love the itineraries and many other features.
  13. The cast of Hairspray is also in Flight. The sets for both probably take a full day to disassemble and then install. That's probably why there are fewer shows.
  14. Are you sure of this? Our suite steward told us last week about the service once a day. He never mentioned that suites would still be serviced twice per day.
  15. What beaches would you recommend? Something easy to get to, if possible, that has shade available.
  16. I do appreciate your response. May I ask for your suggestions to enjoy Bermuda? We did book a boat tour of famous homes. We aren’t scuba or snorkel people.
  17. Has anyone been to a resort for a day on Bermuda? I just went on Resortpass.com and found Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and Spa. I know nothing about it and haven't done any other research for other resorts yet. Usually we feel our cruise ship is our resort and enjoy its pool while others are on shore. However, we just enjoyed the Coco Beach club on Coco Cay (RCCL's private island) and may try a resort. We have 2-3 days in Bermuda on this Oceania cruise; I'm not sure of the timing. Any recommendations would be welcome.
  18. Thank you! I see it opens 75 days in advance of the cruise. Right now I can reserve La Reserve, but I think that may have a cost. I looked at the menus and they may be a bit too fancy for me. What is the cost? I know the other four are free. There's also one called Privee (or something like that.) That didn't open. What is that?
  19. This is our first Oceania cruise. We are on the Riviera in March. How do you sign up for Specialty restaurants? We are in a PH2 cabin. On RCCL, the concierge writes an email a week in advance of the cruise and I then request my dinner reservations. Does this happen on Oceania? Please share the process to sign up. I just read the menus on this site and all the restaurants look great.
  20. I'm a new to Oceania. I don't understand A and B. We are in a PH2. Are we A or B? I'm assuming we have a concierge. Is there a lounge for us?
  21. Is there a nozzle on the hair dryer and does it remain on without constantly depressing the 'on' button and what is the wattage?
  22. Please tell me what UDP is. Did you mean Symphony CK is better than Allure or vice versa?
  23. Thank you. We will do Chops and Jamie Oliver's Italian. We did Izumi in July on the Radiance. The sushi were a bit too fancy for us. We didn't like the menu in Central Park. And the Wonderland menu - I don't understand any of the foods! Did you happen to see that menu?
  24. What is UDP please? Is Chops open for breakfast? I thought perhaps that was only on ships without a Coastal Kitchen?
