Was trying to book a Liberty sail from Bayonne on September 2025 and had problems with mock booking and reflection of the DP coupon/promo. This. had been a constant irritant since the release of the new schedules. So, I decided to call the C&A/D+ desk and the agent had similar issues and had to manually calculate the fare. After he gave me the quote, I asked him if I need to call the Casino desk to apply the $ off that I earned on my February Anthem cruise. He tells me that it's not combinable. I mentioned to him that I have some 5 upcoming cruises where I was able to apply both and advised him that these are 2 separate and distinct events. But, suddenly, my electricity/power went off and was cut off from the agent. It seems some idiot hit a telephone pole in my neighborhood and did not get power back until 3am this morning. Thank God it wasn't as cold and windy s previous days and the insulation kept the bedroom temp at 62. Sorry to digress but has there been a change in applying the solo supplement and casino $ off.

Favorite Production Show on Royal Caribbean??
nelblu replied to Host Jacquelyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Without a doubt. Mamma Mia on Allure and Grease on Harmony. -
The bigger problem to the economy is the level of debt especially in credit cards.

Points transferring between Royal & Celebrity
nelblu replied to FOXTROT's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I met someone of that ilk on last week's Anthem sail. He was telling me that Anthem, the following week's sail schedule will sail from Bayonne to Cape Canaveral in 1 day. I told him unless Royal has discovered a worm hole it's impossible. I finally gave up.🤣 -
I’ve tried opening what I thought was my cabin door and when the green light did not come on I realized I had gotten off on the wrong floor. I called myself an “idiot”.

I’m on the Anthem presently and have traditional dining of 5. Plenty of empty tables and they are seating folks whom I’m assuming are MTD before the 6:45 time frame. I have a table for 8 and only ;3 at this table. Noticed the same on December Harmony sail and October Oasis sail. As others have said show up at the restaurants as there are empty seats if not empty tables.

Bahamas to tax private islands
nelblu replied to Baron Barracuda's topic in Royal Caribbean International
No really, need specifics. For instance, drinks purchased on CC presently has an extra $1 charged and assume it's the VAT. Free drinks presently have no taxes, will they be subject to taxes. Specifics as examples, such as buffets, chairs and umbrellas, etc. will the cost be imputed for VAT purposes. -

Bahamas to tax private islands
nelblu replied to Baron Barracuda's topic in Royal Caribbean International
That's what I pointed out in my post #3. It's not old news because it's effective March 1 and it seems to cover things that are provided on the island which I'm assuming were not subject to VAT prior to this ruling. Unfortunately, the cruise lines have a lot of $s invested in these private islands and ultimately, the consumers (us) are going to get screwed. -
Bahamas to tax private islands

I agree I've been to Nassau so many times. Unfortunately, when someone sails for Bayonne, we have no choice. Never felt the difference in the drink prices as I use my allowed D+ free drinks. The bottleneck occurs due to too many ships at any given time and excursions which packs the docks. -

I've taken 4 12 nights Mediterranean sails and lobster was never offered. Shrimps was substituted. -

I know, then what is new with this article. It reads as though there are certain activities that are not presently taxed. -
Bahamas to tax private islands
nelblu replied to Baron Barracuda's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Already pay taxes on the beach beds and cabanas, unless they are going to tax dining (buffets), excursions, loungers and umbrellas, etc. The Bahamian govt. has already increased their portion of the T&F as January 1. -
Last minute booking HELP!! Anthem questions...
nelblu replied to jojo412's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Dining: 2 ways of handling: - Contact rcldining@rccl.com. They are accommodating with any requests. Please be sure that you indicate, day of sail, ship's name, reservation # and if you are a C&A member list your number. - on embarkation day, go to one of the restaurants and there will be Maitre Ds taking any changes and requests. Entertainment: Reservations required for Spectra only. Look at the 30 day mark for the reservations to open. The reservations can be made via laptop or the APP. It's listed for all ages. Uber, yes, but don't know where they will pick you up. Coco Cay, yes it's free, including any dining. There are trams from the ship to the entrance and then if you want to go to the various attractions and beaches, you need to change trams. Nassau: For pay, there's Margaritaville Resort which is a 10-15 minutes walk. One of the free beaches which is a block further from Margaritaville is Junkaroo beach. Tourists and locals alike utilize this beach. The area around the port is pretty safe. Walk and stay on Bay Street which is a main artery in Nassau with shops and tourists. However, like any place need to be aware of your surroundings. If you stay on Bay Street, it'll take you to Margaritaville and Junkaroo. Hope this helps. -

Kid's Ordering From Regular Dinner Menu?
nelblu replied to onedaysevening's topic in Royal Caribbean International
No problem whatsoever. Prior to the introduction of the new menus, the kid's menu on certain nights was better than the adults.🤣My granddaughters were also able to order from the adult menu at the specialty restaurants.
