  1. Congratulations to all that were able to successfully get a cabin. We have decided not to pursue the LA itinerary. However, we were successful in making a reservation on the 17-day Seattle to Seattle May itinerary. The cruise will give us everything we want in one itinerary. Yes, pricing is high, but if it is anything like the early bookings for 2024, the prices will come down a bit and take the sting out of the cost.
  2. I just called my TA and she said that Princess has not released the cabins to them for booking. She suggested that I book with Princess and then transfer the booking to them. Since bookings for the general public go on sale tomorrow, I think I will just wait so this doesn't become a big mess.
  3. I am able to see pricing. Someone above in post #27 suggested trying another browser. Worth a try??
  4. Are you Elite. If so, you should have gotten an email from Princess. I went to my email and saw the Alaska announcement. When I looked at the email there was a little box that said "Book now". I hit that and it took me into the website.
  5. Just got into the Princess website using my e-mail from them. We live in California and as nice as the Los Angeles itinerary sounds, I think we are leaning towards the Seattle 17-day option as there are a lot of sea days on the LA itinerary. Wishing everyone good luck on their bookings.
  6. I am Elite and have been trying to get into the website. I am so frustrated at this point as all I get is the spinning symbol.
  7. @martincath and @Insomniacs -- thank you both for your input in helping me locate my cereal. We were able to find Honey Nut Cherrios at the Rexall on West Pender. Definitely made my breakfast more enjoyable while on board the Crown Princess.
  8. @CoralHI Coral. Just went with Glacier Wind yesterday. We were on the 6 passenger boat as opposed to the 13 passenger. A couple of people were a little late in showing so Teresa asked if we mind going on the smaller boat with Shawn and we said no problem..also gave us an opportunity to visit with Shawn since we had not seen him for a while. Casey was helping him out so we got to meet him. Casey's brother was the captain on the bigger boat. Saw quite a few whales. Can't compare boats as we didn't get to go on the larger one but enjoyed the 6 person one as always. Will expand more after we get back.
  9. Absolutely love your review and pictures, I appreciate you taking us all along on your journey. I do have one question for you: how do you manage to post your pictures so you can incorporate a few of them into one post? Do you make them a specific size for posting? Thank you in advance for your help.
  10. Part 2 -- My TA was finally able to connect with a Princess rep. and refare my second reservation. I was able to save $1,400 and keep my benefits. I did ask the TA if they used Polar and she said yes but it has been a little glitchy lately. Also, long waits were due to lots of refares, offices being closed on the 4th and people calling in asking about their upcoming cruise since there was an incident with the Ruby in San Francisco. Many thanks to @Coralfor giving the "heads up" about the sale.
  11. TA told me that Princess has been swamped with all the calls. Not sure what system the TA uses. In any case, it is what it is. Nice to hear you had a short response time.
  12. I am trying to refare two cruises. First call to my TA took 30 minutes for them to take the call and then the TA waited almost 2 hours for a Princess rep. Saved $1,000 and lost no benefits. Second call to my TA took 35 minutes and my TA has been informed that wait time is approximately 1 hour to talk with a Princess rep. Waiting to see what savings will be realized on this second cruise.
  13. Question for anyone who has done this: We had put down $3,200 OBC for a cruise. With the new promotion (Score 24), my cruise is considerably cheaper. Is it possible that I could refare and then ask for the remainder of the OBC to be put back into my account. Looking for answers from people that have done this. Thank you.
  14. We sailed the Quantum to Alaska last year and had a wonderful time. This was our first time to Alaska on a Quantum class ship and enjoyed it so much we booked the Ovation to Alaska for this August.
  15. We have gone with Jayleen 11 times and will be going again in a couple of weeks and then again in August. She just got a new boat to add to her fleet so she is accepting more bookings. Never had a bad experience with Jayleen.
  16. We love the Discovery's buffet. We are light eaters and always eat our meals there. We have never had a bad experience.
  17. Have two cruises to Alaska planned (Vancouver to Vancouver) leaving July 14, 2023 and Seattle to Seattle) leaving August 18th. Last year we didn't run into any problems; hope we hear something from someone within the next few days. @DHP1When did you hear about your delayed departure and arrival times -- a few days prior, a week before your cruise?
  18. I got the same email from Princess about the OBC changes. I didn't see where one passenger could use military and one could use shareholder for credit. I took it to mean one or the other. Anyone else have specific clarification they can add to my confused mind?
  19. @Fishbone, Love all your pictures, thanks for taking us all along on your journey. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time with Glacier Wind -- they are the best -- have gone out with them many times and can't wait to go out with them July 20th. ISP is one of our favorite ports. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  20. I guess I am just one of those people. I am one of those people who will have a tech issue and the agent will say : I have never seen this before or at the airport, the TSA agent will do a random search and I am the unlucky one to be pulled out of line. What can I say, it happened and I dealt with it.
  21. We have been asked twice for our QR code: once last year on one of our Alaskan cruises and once for a cruise to Mexico. Not worried as I always have a copy just in case some "newbie" agent needs to see something.
  22. Possible. If it doesn't, I have a back up paper copy.
  23. We use 18-300 lens as we don't like carrying around a lot of equipment. Enjoy your excursion.
  24. The message you got about your cabin is what we experienced on our June 10th cruise out of Seattle. I began to panic because I knew we couldn't get an upgrade (our TA does not participate in us bidding and I had asked for NO upgrade). When we got to the pier, I checked with the gentleman sitting under the Princess canopy and he said Princess has been having glitches from time to time, he check his list and we were all good and in the cabin we had reserved --- gave us a scare and not the way we wanted to start our cruise off. My QR code is missing for our July 14th cruise and has been for a while. I took a picture of the code when I first got it so I have that as a back up. Frankly, we were not even asked for our QR code in June by anyone. The missing code is just a glitch and I am not worried about it.
