  1. Normal travel insurance does not cover cruising. I disagree. Travel insurance unless it specifically excludes cruises has always covered cruises. You can however now have the add ons for missed ports etc. we have been cruising for several years and travel insurance has always covered cruising. The liability cover has always been the same.
  2. Cruise insurance is an add on, covers missed ports isolation in cabins etc. The main cruise is covered under all good insurance cover.
  3. Was surprised to find the square dispensers replaced by bottles of Baylis on our last two visits to Premier Inn.
  4. Sorry I concentrated on the second paragraph and missed this in the first.
  5. This is not from expiry date. You have to take into account issue date. Extra days added on do not count.
  6. Just shows how long ago it was that I went to the buffet, most probably 2019.
  7. No but the plates are large oval shape.
  8. I believe you can pay the difference in drinks plus gratuity and we intend doing that with the wines. The spirits and liqueurs will fall into the Plus price.
  9. I think they were talking about their own age not the ship.
  10. Yes seems there are problems. See this thread on other cruise line. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2932325-contacting-cruise-connectintercruise-to-book/#comment-65246174
  11. I can only think it was not meant to be applied to the new 2025 cruises.
  12. As I said they are provided on the Aida style ships but not something I think P&O would encourage.
  13. Maybe it is an withdrawn cruise as I mentioned above.
  14. Well the only thing I can see is that it says “ We reserve the right to withdraw the offer in whole or on individual cruises at any time” Presume it is a Select booking.
  15. The mail shot says 8 days or longer and I thought most Arvia cruises were less than that.
  16. That’s unfortunate. I thought you may be able to book a suite and give yourselves a pampered short break.
  17. Maybe go for a shorter cruise earlier but upgrade the cabin, that way you could still meet all the criteria.
  18. Same here. The breakfast omelette station in the Quays on Iona is very good, about the only thing I liked about the ship.
  19. My Holiday (App) information below. How to use is at bottom of page. https://www.pocruises.com/my-holiday
  20. You can book early dining but once that has gone that’s it. Later dining is all by the app.
  21. This seems to be happening a lot on the newer ships Iona and Arvia. They are aimed at the new younger cruisers, some of whom have no wish to dress up on holiday. It is a very different vibe on these ships, much more to some people’s taste.
