Good question........I have an experience from June (of this year). I was on a cruise that sailed out of Barcelona. I won't go into the entire story because it would take a page or 2 but to give you a recap, I hurt my leg (while in my cabin)......I pulled a muscle in my calf just stepping wrong☹️from the bathroom down....anyway, I realized when I tried to walk, I could not put any weight on my right leg...... Oh, I sail solo..........anyway, got back to my bed (hopped) and called Guest Relations and they sent the Dr to my cabin..........I was in ALOT of pain......gave me a shot and also told me I would need to go to the hospital for an Ultrasound. We were in Valencia at the time. After all the results, thankfully there was no clotting and I was taken back to the ship........I used crutches (the ship staff and crew were incredibly helpful)......they supplied me the crutches. Anyway, the cruise turned out to be NOTHING like it was supposed to but I have taken 2 cruises since that time and going again in January. So, yes it was definitely something I did not expect and I am thankful for the wonderful crew and staff who went above and beyond for me. To be totally honest, someone I had met on the ship asked me if I would cruise again........I had never thought about NOT cruising again. Yes, this one was a VERY funky trip but I LOVE to cruise and will continue to go on more of them🙂 Oh........the part where I hurt my leg, it was the middle of the night when I got up to use the bathroom on night 2 of a 12 night cruise........it was definitely unlike any cruise I have ever taken.......and I have been cruising for 20 years.

Hi, unless I am reading it wrong or not understanding something, I think plan F says if you are not 65 as of 2020, then you are not eligible for this one. Not sure why they penalize you for being too young.....I will turn 65 in 2023 so it looks like I can't have plan F.........does that make sense? Or am I missing something?

Hi, thanks for the information.....I saw that Medigap on the website. And no, I am no longer covered by my previous employer. 250.00 for a deductible? WOW...that is CHEAP! And I have seen all the ads.....tired of seeing them actually LOL........but I knew I would need a supplement for sure. I will look at that Plan F.........thank you!!!! Oh, tomorrow morning I am having my 2nd Shingles vax.......will let ya'll know how it goes.

Hi Kat, thanks for the reply. I appreciate it😃 I decided to get a cornish hen for Thanksgiving. Much easier for 1 person, that is for sure. Will make a sweet potato and some veggies and I will make some Stove Top stuffing too😃. Anyway, I will do more research on the part D/drug plan too..........

Hi Melody, good luck with that new scooter. Looks pretty neat really! Almost like a bike. Well, I just got my Medicare card in the mail. Since I have been collecting Social Security already they must know I am turning 65 soon LOL. The card says it goes into effect on 3/1/23 and I will be getting more information in the mail soon. So, after all these years of working, my time for Medicare is actually coming around. Sometimes it seems very weird to me (Maybe it is just me)?........Senior Citizen, where has life taken me? Etc....Etc.......Etc.......any of you have these thoughts too?

Hi Cynthia, I am booked on a Caribbean cruise in January for 11 nights out of Ft. Lauderdale and am trying to decide what to do in the spring. I want to do another river cruise but just haven't found "the one" (yet).

You will probably get various responses but personally, I would take one of the later flights and take the stress off about "gotta go, gotta go, get to the airport asap". Take the 12:40 if you want to leave earlier and not worry.......and if a direct is something you can't live without, well only you know you best. In the grand scheme of things, I would take the 12:40 and a 3 hour wait? That is really not bad at all.

No wonder I missed it then........

What is the next flight to Toronto (after that 11am)?
