  1. CGT, I cannot stand saurkraut😮. Just give me a really good corned beef or pastrami on rye please😀
  2. I have no clue about what type of ice cream HAL serves.
  3. Hi Randy, when did you have your 2nd booster?
  4. Hi CGT, it is already in the freezer😀....it is 10.00 for the bread and 10.00 for the shipping...............oh they send directions too but they don't make sense to me. It says to heat the bread for 15 minutes in a 350 oven before eating. I don't want to have to do that for 2 slices of bread every time I want to make a sandwich.😮 It may be different if you are wanting to serve an entire loaf or 1/2 loaf for a dinner with guests or something but for 2 slices of bread? I will keep it frozen and just toast it when I want some.
  5. Recent cruises? I was just on a cruise that sailed from Quebec City, around New England and ended in NYC........it was 11 nights and I got back last week. Thinking back, I had a several excellent meals and a few so-so ones........but I had lunch in the dining room one afternoon and they had a pork chop dish on the menu.......it was FANTASTIC😀 it was actually a breaded/fried chop that was perfectly cooked along with potatoes au gratin and some veggies.......I LOVE a good pork chop and was so taken by this one......was not dry and had a wonderful flavor. I don't eat in the dining room for lunch too often and this was really delicious😀
  6. I like both.....hard and soft ice cream. As a kid, I loved Carvel soft but we don't have any Carvel stores here anymore. There are a ton of choices of hard ice cream these days.........Breyer's is good. And I found this brand at the "SPROUTS" near me.........anyone else know of them? It is called https://vanleeuwenicecream.com/ and they have some fun and funky flavors. But I do LOVE Ben and Jerry's.........Cherry Garcia is my favorite😀
  7. I buy tuna in the can in water and I think it goes back to when I was a kid.......I know we always had tuna in the house LOL😀......and now, I ALWAYS toast my bread when I make a tuna salad sandwich. Just mayo for me.
  8. Good morning from rainy/windy North Florida....... rka, I got the loaf of rye bread yesterday.......it was shipped UPS from Zingerman's which is in Michigan. The bread is VERY GOOD. It is their recipe of Jewish Rye. Has a good texture and toasts very good too🙂. Not sure I will continue to buy it from them though.......20.00 every time I need a loaf just feels like a lot of $ to me. They did send a catalog along with the bread and some of the items sound delicious😀 Oh, they did slice it for me.
  9. Hi Paul😀....I agree about all the restaurants but Bob will have to make sure if it is in the middle of a river cruise that the riverboat is docked in Venice for that to happen. I know from sailing this itinerary that the boat stops in various ports around the different canals.
  10. Good morning........it looks like high tide is coming this way around 9:30 and St Augustine Beach is already getting POUNDED😮I am looking outside and the trees are blowing at a good clip. Hopefully Nicole won't be too bad around here. (Although the beaches are always in the track)............ Cynthia, seems GA is the Epicenter for the last 2 cycles, although Nevada and Arizona are still counting too.
  11. Hi girls, Sherri, we are supposed to have rain and winds tomorrow. Drive safely. Kat, I spoke to my Pharmasict about the 2nd shot and she said everyone reacts differently so hopefully I won't have a negative reaction.
  12. Hi girls, Kat I haven't ever made chicken chili. Maybe I should give it a try. Got my flu shot yesterday. Now I have to get my 2nd shingles shot sometime later this month. Had my first one back in Sept and the pharmacist said I needed to wait at least 2 months for the 2nd one. As for the weather, it is windy here today but no rain here by me. Anyway, Sharon, good to see you again😀
  13. No, I was on Whisper that sailed from Quebec City, went around New England and ended in NYC. So maybe here temps are no longer checked here but in Europe they are......who knows.
  14. All the crew was wearing masks last week on my cruise.
  15. Just got home from a cruise last week and there were no temperature checks.
  16. Hi dawntrdr, you are correct. There are books in the Arts Cafe but they are not "novels" if you just want an easy read. I have looked through various books in there and always noticed that......seems most of the books in there are of the non-fiction variety. Nothing wrong with those of course but sometimes all I want is an "easy peasy" summertime read.
  17. Very true but remember, it is only a buffet for breakfast and lunch.
  18. Again, wonderful photos😀 Have to give another view about officers and staff dining with guests. They were definitely allowed to join guests on my last 2 sailings. I went to Alaska in August and just last month to New England. Both cruises I ate with staff multiple times on both sailings. My experiences may vary? Are they not allowing it on European sailings? One would think it would be allowed across the fleet now. Anyway, all my dinners were very enjoyable😀
  19. And some of us even stay up till 11 or so😀
  20. The restaurants don't open till 7 for dinner so need to worry about going to sleep at that time😀
  21. I was just there last week and must have missed that........never saw the bar.
  22. I just got home on Wednesday from a NE Cruise for 11 nights.......We had some sunny days but personally, I found it quite COLD OUT. Actually, it was so windy in Sydney, I had to go back to the ship. No way I could do a walking tour😮....bring layers and I should have packed a lined jacket but did not......so that is on me but I saw lots of people with "puffer jackets/coats"........you live an learn. I think living in the South has thinned my blood......but to be honest, I found the winds COLDER than when I sailed to Alaska.
