Hi again....Melody, looking at Celebrity again and they must have changed something.....I found a Caribbean Cruise that has a great price (for a solo) new ship too........bigger than I am normally used to but I am definitely thinking about it. It is a 7 night cruise on "Ascent"......sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale in one of the new "Single Infinite" balcony cabins.

Thanks girls, Melody, I sailed with Celebrity for 15 years and was looking at them but from reading some stuff about them and what they are charging solo guests I am not sure I want to give them my business again. From.what I read, they are charging solos more than double......I know they want 2 people in the cabin but charging for more than 2? I will look elsewhere. Oh, I have sailed on every ship you mentioned. Cynthia, I will take a look at HAL.....thanks

I was just looking at the Oceania website.......looks like everything is waitlisted and no good offers for us solo guests on these particular sailings either. Cynthia, you were recently on HAL, right? What is your opinion of them? I sailed with them once many, many years ago........like back in 2005......

Happy Sunday morning....today is a BIG Football Day for those of us who love the game😃The Ravens host the Chiefs and the 49rs host the Lions!!!! Winners play in the Superbowl. I am rooting for the underdog Detroit Lions😃 And now to the cruise question......LOL....I am looking for a cruise for my birthday in March. Not even sure where but I know a few of you have sailed different lines than me........Cynthia, Kat, Melody? I was actually looking at Princess around the California Coast......have any of you all sailed with them? I have not ever.......and it has been a LONG time since I sailed on a "Big Ship"...........I would even go to the Caribbean but usually March is spring break time and I don't want to sail with a bunch of kids....... Any advice?

Hi, I can tell you cruising solo is the only way I sail. I have lived on my own for almost my entire life (I am quite a bit older than you) and I have no desire to ever share a cabin with anyone again. Hell, I don't even share "the clicker" with anyone here at home LOL.....so sharing my own space in a cabin? Nope, not going to happen. I have been cruising solo for 20 years and love it😃 I can tell you from my experiences, I love being able to do what I want, or don't want, I can participate in activities, or not.......all without being concerned about someone else. As for your family? I can't help you there.......I don't need nor want anyone's approval for my decisions, especially on my cruising decisions😃.......but I only have a very small family.......my parents are gone and my sister and bil? They love to cruise too LOL Anyway, I would say go for it and have a great time!😃

Really? Seabourn is part of the Carnival Corp. They are smaller vessels, in the "Luxury Category".....most of their ships hold less than 500 guests. Seabourn, Silversea, Regent.......those are luxury lines.

Hi, nope.......there is no reciprocity. . Not sure why there would be to be honest with you, they are not part of the same company and would probably be considered competing lines.

@Dolcevita Diva sounds like a very fun and interesting class. A dry January?.........I haven't had anything to drink since my TA crossing back in November. It was early December when I was in the hospital for a week so that was part of it. But for the last month I have just passed on anything alcoholic. Don't miss it at all. .

Hi girls..........I had my follow up phone call with the Endocrinology Dr. Actually, I spoke with a super nice gal😃 who is a PA and we chatted for at least 20 minutes about everything from my hospital visit until present. She ordered me a new meter, lancets, etc to start checking my blood sugar again. I told her my A1C has been below 7 too. Well, I checked my sugar today and it was only 116. I have an appt at the office near me in early March. The main office is pretty far from me and that is why I had a phone visit......I didn't want to drive to the other side of town. Yesterday I had another appt with my Kidney Dr and my numbers are continually getting better too😃 Melody, how is Les feeling? Send him my best. Kat, your sneakers are cute😃

I forgot, there is a brand I found at "Sprouts" called VAN WELLUEN Ice cream....they have some wonderfully funky flavors😃 One is Lemon Poppy Seed and the other is Earl Grey (yes, just like the tea). When I want a change I buy this brand.

There are multiple flavors......some I LOVE, some I like a lot LOL.....I enjoy a good Neapolitan.......it is old school but I love it. I also LOVE Ben and Jerry's CHERRY GARCIA. I would say that definitely one of my favorites. I also love a chocolate with almonds. Oops......not sure what happened to my screen.......

This is probably going to sound a bit harsh but here goes anyway.......I don't care what cruises will be serving in 2074........I am guessing many of us of a certain age won't be around 50 years from now so it doesn't matter to me what is being served.😧

Hi, there have been plenty of times I have been gone for 2 weeks and I think the most shoes I have ever packed is 5. I try not to even bring that many anymore. As the years have gone by I try to bring only 3 or 4 pair of shoes. You mentioned you don't think wedges can be formal? I disagree and if I ever bring heels, they are a small wedge. Black......they go with everything (in my opinion). You have been given some very good suggestions........I would never bring 8 pairs with me.
