We had rain here on and off all day. Really yucky outside. But after seeing what is going on in California, my rain was minor. Hope everyone out there will be safe. And for some reason, the rinse cycle on my washer didn't work correctly......I did laundry this morning and the spin cycle worked but when I took the clothes out they were heavy, like all the water did not come out. It was really weird. It took twice as long for me to dry everything. What a pain. And I am still looking for a cruise........

The only social media site I am on is here..........I don't do FB and have never tweeted in my life. I can't remember the last time I gave my last name out to anyone on here and as for folks who give out all kinds of info on their roll calls? That is their choice. I don't really care what they give or don't give.

Hi John, as you can see, there are multiple different responses. I have had people ask me on board if I tip extra and how much......in my opinion, this is a very personal decision and I would never tell anyone to tip extra and I would never give an amount. That is up to you. If you are on a ship for (example) a 2 week cruise, just use your own judgement if you want to give extra $ and how much.

Hi, I also agree with the solo cruiser assessment. I always sail solo and feel very welcomed and it is easy to meet other people too.😃 I hope you have a great cruise!

Good morning, great purchases Melody😃 and Cynthia, I love that crossbody bag too! I don't remember searching for cruises this much in a long time......I guess I am still just not sure what I want to do.....at least I have the time to do it LOL.......I will keep looking. I have some good news about my glucose numbers. I am not sure if I posted this but I got a new meter and the other stuff......needles, lancets, etc.......I have to wonder if the Januvia is a much better medicine than what I was talking previously? My numbers have come way down. (which of course is a good thing). I am sticking my finger once a day. .

Hi, I think a closed toe kitten heel would be good on any cruise line, Royal, Celebrity, HAL, Princess, etc...etc.....etc........ I don't even wear heels anymore. A small wedge or a ballet flat is what works for me.

Hi again....Melody, looking at Celebrity again and they must have changed something.....I found a Caribbean Cruise that has a great price (for a solo) new ship too........bigger than I am normally used to but I am definitely thinking about it. It is a 7 night cruise on "Ascent"......sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale in one of the new "Single Infinite" balcony cabins.

Thanks girls, Melody, I sailed with Celebrity for 15 years and was looking at them but from reading some stuff about them and what they are charging solo guests I am not sure I want to give them my business again. From.what I read, they are charging solos more than double......I know they want 2 people in the cabin but charging for more than 2? I will look elsewhere. Oh, I have sailed on every ship you mentioned. Cynthia, I will take a look at HAL.....thanks

I was just looking at the Oceania website.......looks like everything is waitlisted and no good offers for us solo guests on these particular sailings either. Cynthia, you were recently on HAL, right? What is your opinion of them? I sailed with them once many, many years ago........like back in 2005......

Happy Sunday morning....today is a BIG Football Day for those of us who love the game😃The Ravens host the Chiefs and the 49rs host the Lions!!!! Winners play in the Superbowl. I am rooting for the underdog Detroit Lions😃 And now to the cruise question......LOL....I am looking for a cruise for my birthday in March. Not even sure where but I know a few of you have sailed different lines than me........Cynthia, Kat, Melody? I was actually looking at Princess around the California Coast......have any of you all sailed with them? I have not ever.......and it has been a LONG time since I sailed on a "Big Ship"...........I would even go to the Caribbean but usually March is spring break time and I don't want to sail with a bunch of kids....... Any advice?

Hi, I can tell you cruising solo is the only way I sail. I have lived on my own for almost my entire life (I am quite a bit older than you) and I have no desire to ever share a cabin with anyone again. Hell, I don't even share "the clicker" with anyone here at home LOL.....so sharing my own space in a cabin? Nope, not going to happen. I have been cruising solo for 20 years and love it😃 I can tell you from my experiences, I love being able to do what I want, or don't want, I can participate in activities, or not.......all without being concerned about someone else. As for your family? I can't help you there.......I don't need nor want anyone's approval for my decisions, especially on my cruising decisions😃.......but I only have a very small family.......my parents are gone and my sister and bil? They love to cruise too LOL Anyway, I would say go for it and have a great time!😃
