Did princess offer a water shuttle or bus to Toulon city center ?? If so. Do you know the cost??

Our Friday in Barcelona started with Breakfast in the hotel. Boy was that worth the price. Hot croissant to the table with fresh squeeze OJ and a full buffet of eggs, cheeses, cereal, meats and a mimosa if you wanted one. We then went off into the Born and Gothic areas in search of churches. We visited 3, basilica Santa Maria Del Pi, Santa Maria del Mar and then the Cathedral ...such beautiful architecture and history. Then off the Santa Caterina Market for lunch. A nice market still used mostly by locals. We sat a counter and had croquettes, olives and vermouth. And a ham and cheese sandwich...so good. We decided to go back to the hotel for a rest before out to the evening food tour. Will post later about the food tour. Here are some pics from Friday

Was in an easy walk to and from the shopping district in Genoa? We will be there on my birthday 11/19 and want ro walk around and have a nice lunch to celebrate.

We have arrived in Barcelona!! And amazing all 3 bags made it. Got a cab from the airport to the H10 Montcada in the Born. 35 euro for the taxi including tip. Finally got to the hotel about 12 PM. Very tired but happy to be here. Booked a Jr. Suite , got a great rate total for 3 nights including breakfast 671 euro. H10 have a club and if you join you automatically get 10% off the rate online AND I also got a sale. Upon checking in, we were given a coupon for a free drink at the bar during our stay. Here are pictures of the room. Plan for tomorrow is to tour the opera house, visit a church or two in the Born area, go to the Santa Caterina Market. Then we have an evening food tour booked with Devour tours starting at 6 PM.

The Captain advised us tonight that our port of Corsica on Saturday (Nov 5th) is being canceled due to bad weather.
We will instead be in Genoa as the replacement port. Personally, we prefer Genoa. I don't know how or if this will affect our scheduled stop in Corsica on Nov 7th???
We board the Regal on the 6th and per my Info the ship is in Toulon on the 7th and not back in corsica until the 20th

Great upsell rate! Awesome.
If your long layover was due to a schedule change, I’m surprised youdidn’t have them rebook something better? Unless, you want to break up the trip.
Regardless, have a great adventure. The tickets had already been purchased so a change would have cost more than the day hotel, so we decided to just go for it. The flight changed about 3 times actually.

We start our 30+ day adventure today. DH and I are all packed. 3 Suitcases for the trip. We fly from CLT to Munich then onto Barcelona BUT with all the schedules changes we have an 11 hour layover in Munich. So I did my research, found a hotel IN Munich Airport. We will be staying in the Munich Hilton for the layover. I got a day rate of 89 Euro. We get the room from 9 am to 6 pm It is worth it for sleep. For those who don't know about day rates, alot of airport hotels have them BUT you have to call the hotel. We land in Munich at 9:15 and our flight to BCN it not until 8:50 pm. We also got lucky and got an upsell to a suite for the full 26 days. It was an additional 2K, total not PP. We are staying in the H10 Montcada in the Born in Barcelona. And then board the Regal on Sunday 11/6. Will post info when we check in to the Munich hotel with info and pics. More to come...

We do not interact with the CD, but I'll poke around the sports court and see what I can find out.
Btw, posting on CC has been difficult, often having to submit post numerous times. Just in case there is a delayed response from those of us onboard.
There has been no problem streaming Netflix or Hulu via the TV or any other function via the internet. Just issues with CC. 🤔
Are you saying the TV has Netflix and HULU or are you using a casting or fire stick ??

Wow...I am surprised at the low passenger counts. We board on 11/6 and very excited. Do you know who the Bartenders are in crooners??

We did the same this morning, booked the Sanctuary for all 7 days of the crossing.
Btw, we streamed Netflix last night, no issues.
How were you able to book sanctuary so far in advance...hope there are seats left when we board

A second recommendation for blackberry cars. They picked us up from Heathrow and drove us to Southampton. Great private transfer

Trying to find out the current bar staff on the Regal. Crooners, Vines, Wheelhouse, good spirits. We will be spending 26 days aboard, and just wondering if we mave met any of the staff previously..
Thanks

We've sailed in E728 several times. We did notice a very faint bass sound a few evenings, but it ended around 10:30/11:00 p.m. It was so minor that it didn't keep us from booking this suite again. The Regal is a beautiful ship. Enjoy your suite and don't forget to visit the Concierge Lounge. You'll be spoiled!
Thank you...we are very excited to be in the suite for 26 days...will visit the lounge too. Any Pics of the suite ??

We just snagged a suite on our 26 day cruise from Barcelona to FLL. Happy with the price but cannot find reviews or videos of the cabin
E728. Anyone stayed in this suite? Or have video or pics? Is there noise from the Vista lounge. Any info would be appreciated.

We will be joining this voyage on 11/6 in Barcelona. We arrive in Barcelona on 11/3 for a few days of wonderful tapas and tours. We too enjoy the Scantuary and the bars. Not much for the shows but do like trivia. I will try to add items here but was also planning in doing a live from too.

There have been lots of other "live from " reports on this itinerary.
So no need to wait.
I was in Regal on the same cruise in May.
What do you want to know ?
interested in what people did in the ports and princess tours. I guess I will have tohavea search for those reports

Marvellous!! Something to read with my morning coffee. I am very much looking forward to reading your comments. I have a friend on the Regal as of today and I'm also going to be reading her blog. What a great way to anticipate a cruise!! 🙂 It won't be long now.
We join the regal on 11/6 so I am interested also, Can you share your friend's blog - I am interested in all the Med Ports. very excited as we have never been to any of these ports except for Barcelona

If there are no in-cabin “kettles”, there is hot water available at the buffet 24-7.
You are incorrect...we have sailed on the Emerald twice from Southampton and there has been a kettle on each sailing. Our last British isles cruise was in June 2022.

You will not need to go back through security UNLESS you leave the secure area for some reason. You will need to go to passport control. We have done this many times.

So our cruise visits Greece. We have had primary vaccine rounds and two boosters. Last booster was in February which is over 270 days by the time we disembarkation on 12/2 BUT as I read it. We are OK? As we have 2 boosters ??
Opinions??

Barcelona on Friday night we had a tapas and wine tour booked with Devour Tours. We met a 6 PM just down the street from our hotel. First was vermouth with cheese, artichokes and aloi. Potato chips with Catalina salsa and olives. In addition a glass of Catalina white wine and sauted cod with sweet potato. Second stop was cava with different types of pork cured meats and croquettes. And Tomato bread a Barcelona staple. And the last stop was sort of a full dinner with hummus, the beef check and potatoes and finally chocolate mouse with olive oil and salt. And a sweet desert wine. OMG...so good and worth the costs. We then had cocktails with a couple from Sweden in a bar where Dali drank in the born..we got back to the hotel around midnight satisfied with another great night in Barcelona...pics below
