We are joining the Regal Princess on 11/6 for a 26 TA Cruise.  I want to buy a specific bottle of Gin in Barcelona, Gin Mare.  It is a Spanish Gin that I cannot readily get in North Carolina.  Will Princess Collect it and keep it for me until we disembark.  They have done that in the past at ports of call but I have never tried it a embarkation.  Has anyone tried it ?  I will carry it on and show them , just do not want them to tell me no and waste my money.  We do not stop in any other large spanish ports, so my only choice is barcelona

Just one additional point:  I want to buy it in Barcelona not the cruise terminal as prices are better in the city and a better selection.  Princess Chat told me there would be someone there to collect it BUT I would like to know if anyone has done it or know for sure.

Well, apparently even this has now changed.

Just this minute I received the following email from Princess:

Important update regarding your Booking #XXXXXX

    Dear BG, our valued guest,

We're looking forward to welcoming you for your upcoming Princess Cruises vacation and wanted to provide an important update.

We continue to refine our guidelines for these voyages and wanted to advise of the latest guidelines for your voyages.

Just to recap, here are the required guidelines for your upcoming voyage:

    • Since your voyage visits Greece, guests 5 years and above must be fully vaccinated and up to date, which means you are at least 14 days past completion of a primary vaccine series and no more than 270 days (9 months) from the date of disembarkation since receiving the last dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. A booster dose is required for guests 18 and older if the last COVID-19 vaccine dose in series is older than 9 months (270 days) from the date of disembarkation.
    • Please remember to upload your proof of vaccination into our MedallionClass® app while getting OceanReady®.
    • Fully vaccinated guests are not required to test.
    • Guests 5 years of age and over not fully vaccinated must contact us to request a vaccination exception to be presented upon embarkation and are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test (Self-administered Antigen OR Medically assisted Antigen or PCR) taken within 3 days prior to boarding.

Additional information on our onboard guidelines can be found at our CruiseHealth site.

You will be receiving additional information on your voyage as the sail date approaches. Of course, should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us.

We realize vacations are precious and our shipboard team is ready to help you create a lifetime of memories with your friends, families and loved ones.

We can’t wait to welcome you on board!

Which sailing are you on.  Our sailing visits Greece but we got a totally different email

  4. We had a kettle in our room for our British Isles cruise and loved it for tea in the afternoon on the balcony.  Does anyone know if we will get one for the Med Cruise leaving from Barcelona to Rome??  Has anyone received one on a previous cruise?  And / or can we ask for one??

    Thanks

  5. We use EZ air alot but I will say the normally we book American Airlines via EX air and American is easy to deal with if there are cancellations.   We are booked via EZ air on Lufthansa for our upcoming Med cruise and we had a small problem with a cancelled flight by the airline which resulted in an 11 hour layover BUT that is not princess fault.  I check my reservations at least 3 times a week for changes and then correct issues...so with the 11 hour layover. There is not another flight so booked a day hotel room in Munich Airport To sleep while waiting..still happy with EZ air

I just posted our review of the excursion on my thread, which BTW we had a great time as there were only 12 passengers on the excursion!

Thank you!!  Just saw it after I asked in your live thread.  Did ask about the testing if you could answer  that would be great

We have arrived in Civitavecchia. Today we’re going on the PCL Ultimate Vatican Behind the Scenes excursion which hopefully will be very interesting.

I am very interested in how you liked the tour...we have it planned in November..  also did they say why no c19 test between cruises ?  Did  that rule change ?  We are doing an 11 day med in Nov and then a 15 day Transatlantic and thought we would have to test in-between legs...  thanks for any info

  8. Mine did the same - from Green to Yellow.  We sail on Thursday from Southampton.  I called princess - Got right through - The very nice rep told me that people seem to be having this problem today - Not to worry - she will report it  and just to show up with the time I had scheduled with my paperwork and I should be fine

  9. It depends on where you are flying to:  Per American Web site:

We have moved operations to Terminal 3. If you’re flying to New York (JFK), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX) and Miami (MIA) you’ll check-in and depart from Terminal 5.

Remember to check your flight status before you go to the airport and arrive at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time.

  10. So we are planning a cruise tour in May.  We are doing lodges first then to the ship.  We are being told that we have to get our own covid test prior to boarding the ship.  Is there anyone on a cruise tour now that can tell me how you managed it.

    Thanks

  11. We are elite and we find it worth the cost.  We both drink,  not alot, maybe 3 alcoholic ones a day PP, but find the specialty coffee and bottled water inclusions help the cost offset.

It is really a personal decision depending on what and how much you drink..not just alcohol

  12. Depends on the ship but of the ones we have been on, here are my answers

I have not seen rowing machines

I have not seen bands, took a stretching class and we used towels

Spin bikes are only available during g the classes. Locked up at other times.

    Don't know about the shoes.

I will say there are plenty of treadmills and stair climbers.  Usually 3 regular excerise bikes and usually 2 recumbent bikes.  Good stretching classes. And you can use the mats and floor area when there is not a class.  Also plenty of weights to use
