  1. Is this really true since the OP says they took early payment?
  2. I love those window suites. The location is absolutely perfect and you get to use the thermal suite which I adore.
  3. Room service is not included in a full suite or any other cabin. If you have the expensive alcohol package it is included. It costs $5 each time you order with one exception. The morning continental breakfast card you fill out and hang on your door at night is included at no charge.
  4. Where can I get the cans using my 5 free drinks as a D+? Do they have bottles of sparkling water?
  5. I'll be on the Navigator next month. Can you tell me the location of the crown lounge please.
  6. I do not tip. It's gotten out of hand. On Princess excursions these are employees of a big tour company with benefits. On private excursions I do tend to tip. It looks to me like fewer people tip when I watch people get off the bus and hand a tip to the tour guide. My estimate is 50/50 tip to no tip.
  7. It's the same menu as the main dining room and at dinner one extra dish is offered, usually a cheap fish or shrimp dish. The service is better then the dining room and there's no waiting. There are two tops and a few 4 tops but there are no sharing tables. Is the daily extra fare for this worth it? Maybe? I have used reserve class for the past several years. After last months sailing I will give it up. For what the fare has gone up to I'd rather eat in the specialty restaurant every dinner. Reserve lunch is only open on sea days if it's port intensive you be using the buffet for lunch
  8. So to clarify, I can get regular coffee in the lounge complimentary as a D+? Where do I get the key card? Is it in my cabin?
  9. The lead in / lowest priced cabins in any category are for when Princess chooses your cabin. For mini suites you cannot book deck 8 for this reason so maybe it's the same in the Lido deck case.
  10. Princess has terrible service ever since they out sourced it to the Philippines. It's enough for me to now use a big box travel agency because it's so hard to phone them. What they think they're saving on cheap labor abroad they're loosing in paying commissions to travel agents.
  11. Last month I went on a cruise I wished to cancel but couldn't after Israel was removed from the itinerary. Of course it was a reasonable reason to cancel the two ports but it was the reason I booked this cruise.
  12. I learned something new. Is there a Diamond Lounge on all ships in which to get morning coffee? I will be on the Navigator next month and need my coffee as soon as possible after I get dressed. Is it a keycard to enter the lounge or just open? Is this the same lounge as for Diamond Plus?
  13. I just fax'd mine in yesterday so will see if they come back and tell me to do it differently.
  14. Previously Diamond Plus tier was always allowed to attend any show. Is that still allowed and how does that work?
  15. I just flew on ITA to Rome last month for my Mediterrean cruise. It was business class so I got to chose my seats. It was a horrible airline I'd never fly again. They don't have cans of drinks, 2 liter bottles of flat diet coke. They don't come around with any snacks and it's a 12 hour flight. They don't do anything unless you go to the galley and ask. NO service. Look for a better airline to fly to FCO.
  16. Just off a 28 night cruise on the Island Princess and the food was awful. I had reserved class and the service was outstanding. The menu choices were cheap items and the lunch menu never changed in 28 days. Who orders a large plate of french fries for lunch one of the menu options.
  17. Thanks for your fast response. I'm off to go look now.
  18. I just got off a 28 day cruise on the Island Princess. I agree the food was awful, the buffet was not good either. The choices of dishes are low end and budget stuff. I found the crew to very polite and accommodating.
  19. Yes I'm D+ but haven't sailed with RCL for many years. I've sailing on Princess since they are on the west coast but now that RCL came back to Los Angeles I'm going to try them again and booked a cruise for next month. I'll call crown and anchor. Do you know what the choices are by chance?
  20. Is there a letter in the cabin telling me all the amenities I will get with my associated tier? I saw I get a gift/amenity but what is it and do I pick it or they pick it?
  21. Couple of corrections, not always will a suite get comped, it's only on 6 nights or longer. Previously the gratuity is included in the upcharge. My having dined in both specialty restaurants this Month is as current as it gets. Both restaurants were $39 on the Island Princess 28 night Mediterranean Cruise
  22. 4 night cruises have many exclusions like no complementary first night specialty restaurant. Sometimes they do invite suite guests on shorter cruises the list of perks excludes it.
