  1. What am I doing wrong?

All's well until I get to the photo part of the online registration.

I've taken the selfie, then pushed the upload button, the save button  and it still shows imcomplete.

Maybe I should do save, then upload? or maybe they don't like the picture?

Any advice appreciated before I call Regent.

    Bellini is a drink.

    Do you mean Blinis 😀

Gary999, I ment no disrespect when I laughed at your post.....just made me giggle!

However I'm pretty happy with Bellinis, Blinis, whatever, as long as it comes with caviar!

  3. Is the "included" caviar available on all SS ships? or is it just on the newer "glitzy" ones? What about the little Whisper? Can we expect to see some fish eggs? (giggle!)

  4. It's been several years since we've been on SS. We flip back and forth between SS and Regent.

I must say that we've been pretty happy with the included wines offered on SS.  I think they're a cut above what Regent has included. Lots of nice choices and if you don't like something, they're happy to offer something else. We had a lovely lady sommelier, Caroline? Carolyn? who was wonderful. Funny, unpretentious and always at the ready to assist if need be.

We'll be on the little Whisper in Sept and hope the wine situation remains terrific!

  5. We boarded in Brooklyn on May 15. It didn't make a particle of difference what time your boarding pass indicated, what tier (diamond, platinum, etc) you were on, what cabin assignment you had. Just go to the end of the line that stretched around the block (so to speak) where the checkers re checked every scrap of paper you had. It didn't matter if you had printed out all of the health forms, etickets, boarding passes, etc. You had to go thru another enormous line to even get to the actual check in.

We went thru this same mess in Feb. and chalked it up to the QM2 entering the US for the first time since covid. Nope, still the exact same mess in May......go figure.

I was hoping that there would be a grill's waiting room.  I hope we can check in and wait there.  I hope QM2 gets in on time-or even early!

    Keeping fingers and toes crossed!!

  7. You may (or may not) have to wait a little to check in. We were there in Feb. and it was a mess as the QM2 came in late. We were lined up like cord wood as they would not let us in the terminal until the everyone was off the ship and it had been coast guard cleared.

My hope is that you (we?) can check in and if need be, wait in the grill's waiting room. There are chairs, water, etc.

    Veuve Clicquot NV still available currently $90 + 15% = $103.50

WOW! Might be a case of BYO Clicquot.....in upstate NY we can regularly get it for between 50-65 a bottle. I'd be happy to carry a little  onboard for that price.

  9. We would check every other day for a print out from the front desk. Worked perfectly.

Unfortunately I was hacked using the Cunard wifi.....never again. On our next cruise, I'll ask to be connected only thru one of the library desk tops. Will never use their wifi again....probably my bad, somewhere along the line, but not taking any chances again....

  10. We both use our slippers, even tho they're huge! It's something I don't need to pack, and I like wearing them in the cabin and of course, the bath. I usually take them home as well. I have an assortment from Cunard, Crystal (now collector's items...haha!), Regent and Silversea. The nicest ones have closed toes. I have small feet and the open toed ones are more difficult to wear as my feet slide thru the front!

So, no , I don't think they've been re used, and no I don't think they're gross. If that's what you think, then heaven forbid you've been in a consignment shop!!! (giggle!)

For some of you who just completed a TransAtlantic:

Are people currently being tested mid voyage on a transatlantic?

We are on the May 15 Eastbound.

Not that I care about being tested, anything to keep the ships sailing are fine by me,  just curious

Same boat, exactly.....just keep us posted, Cunard. We'll do whatever is necessary, just keep us informed.
