  1. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/specialty-restaurants/ menus and descriptions. The charges are listed on the menus. included beverages are the same as elsewhere on the ship - water, lemonade/iced tea, coffee, tea. Drink packages are usable. Enjoy
  2. @rcprncss I did a search and found this video. They are standing in the Emerald's thermal suite and do a bit of a tour.
  3. This was posted on another forum this week. Current Emerald Princess crew. ( Sorry I cannot get my ipad to copy the chart without losing half of it. )
  4. Respectfully disagree. We've cruised Ft Lauderdale since covid - we arrive around 11 am - and went in the door for checkin, entered the "elite and suite" line, went to the desk from the "elite and suite" line to get our medallions (we are Canadian so they are not mailed), and sat and waited to board the ship upstairs in the elite lounge with the other elite and suite passengers. We were the first group to board. The platinums sit outside the elite lounge and board after us.
  5. I agree. If we do decide to book a holiday cruise, and I cannot work with my TA to choose specific cabins, because we are concerned about location for various reasons, we will be looking elsewhere. Booking only guarantee is a deal breaker for us. Padgett may have gone too far imho.
  6. I found these photos someone posted on another site. We always got the old Plus fare ... for years now ... I enjoy lots of coffees, we both enjoy trying different drinks throughout the day, add wifi and tips and its a no brainer. So based on the Princess prices of all the individual things we definitely came out ahead. I'm not looking forward to the new wine list for Plus - they can't even tell us what wines anymore??? We noticed last year March 2022 when we cruised last that the wine selection was very thin. At least half of the menu was "not available" and they blamed suppliers. Maybe this is a way to deal with the supply chain fluctuations. I understand if they get different supplies each ship and need to change out the brand for the "Pinot" or whatever but don't want to print new menus. But if its really crap or "Princess" brand, I'm going to be really disappointed. Have to see next month when we cruise again. The juices look interesting. Maybe too sweet depending. The desserts look overwhelming. We used to get one little scoop of gelato each cruise and that was plenty. Not sure if we'll bother with these, even with "hold the toppings" ! We'll see.
  7. In the many years we've been cruising Princess, I've never noticed the website do that. I'm seeing it on cruises in all months, going into 2024. Not just holiday cruises. As others are seeing the same issue, I think it is more likely a glitch.
  8. This is frustrating. Must be a glitch. I've been looking for 2023 Holiday cruises and figured the Deluxe balconies were sold out as only guarantees were available. Nope. As soon as I put in "3" passengers, they all showed up. Lots of availability. Once again thanks to the folks here for shedding light on the usually incompetent Princess IT department! 😁

  10. Remember that checkin at the port is also possible. Bring all your documents, get to the port early and check in there. Fighting with the app and website are just not worth the hassle! Enjoy your cruise!
  11. We cancelled a cruise on November 27/22. We were at the 50% cancellation fee point. Within 48 hours, Princess had refunded the 50% to my credit card. We submitted the claim online to AON on November 29/22. We had Princess Platinum insurance, and we asking for the "Medical" which entitled us to a refund, not FCC. We sent in the medical form on their website, filled in by our doctor. AON never contacted us for any additional information. February 13/23 we received emails from AON stating the claim was approved and the cheques would be mailed out shortly for the remaining 50%. So, 10 weeks or so for processing.
  12. Perhaps I should not have said "disappears" --- the web option no longer allowed me access. After I accessed the app for dining, I went back to the website on my desktop and it did not allow me to log in. Glitch or not that was my experience a few months ago.
  13. There is a place on the home screen to use the personalizer instead. Maybe under the "app" links? I don't recall exactly where it was - look carefully for it. You can use the web browser access as long as you have not logged into the app for that sailing yet. Once you've gone into the app, the option disappears. At least thats what happened to me a few months ago. Ultimately, if none of this works, you can take all your paperwork to the port and do all the checkin there on embarkation day .
  14. We always do our research in advance and load maps to our devices, or print out maps to take along. We know where we want to go, and what we want to see, and avoid. Anything handed out onboard only shows retailers and sight seeing locations that have PAID the cruiseline marketing company to be included on the map. The maps are woefully incomplete otherwise. Same with the "port lectures". They are all paid advertising. If they decide to not provide them, all the better.
  15. At the special times, the bartenders turn on a camera so that everyone can see them preparing the cocktails on the big screen behind them. They play some music, and describe the process of making the drinks. They also play the good spirits videos. The rest of the evening they can make you the drinks but without the "show" as there are other activities going on in the piazza. They only bring the fresh ingredients to the bar in the evenings. You cannot order the special drinks during the afternoon because the ingredients have not yet arrived. If you google "good spirits at sea" and look for videos, there are many posted from other people's vacations. Each drink comes with an episode of the show. I found one episode here: I'm sure the rest are on the internet as well.
  16. Hi, The new P&O ships look lovely! I’m wondering as a Canadian living in Canada, if I can book on P&O? I goto the website and it says “call to book” and all prices are in Pounds - they don’t seem to have a Canadian version of their website. Should I create an account to see more? Thanks!
  17. Book tickets with the same time. Goto the meeting area together. Tell the organizer you are a group of 4 and they will board you together.
  18. I noticed on the Princess website, where they show pictures of the cabins, that the beds are going to alternate between by the bathroom and by the balcony. I prefer the seating area by the balcony, so we can look out from the sofa. I don't want the sofa inside. I prefer the bed inside. If I book this ship, I'm going to have to research how to know which cabin has which layout. I'm hoping that there are food options on Lido when all is finished. Not to have any will be an issue for us. We like to eat outside during the day, not down inside the ship.
  19. He also posted on his Instagram - michele_tuvo_official that he is now on MSC Seaview in Rio de Janeiro.
  20. Thanks! We've called Princess. They cancelled us. We are in the 50% penalty period so will have to get the medical form filled in and claim thru AON. Never had to cancel before ... but that is why we buy Princess platinum insurance! Purely for the cancellation option. Even if they deny the medical (cash back) for some picky reason we have the CFAR that gives us all the rest back in FCC's. At least we are only claiming for 50% !! Later in the week it would have been 75% so we called today. I will apply patience. And waiting. I've seen the threads here so I know to expect a long wait. 😬 For both the 50% refund and the 50% thru insurance. With any luck the money will come thru around the time we want to book something else! @cr8tiv1 - Do you recall if they needed a lot of documentation from the doctor or did they just accept the one page form from your group? I'm hoping we don't have to go back and forth getting more paperwork. Thanks again!
  21. Hi, We have a cruise booked but unfortunately have to cancel as one of us has new medical issues. We are past final payment. We have Princess Platinum insurance. We booked thru costco.ca travel. We booked air separately and I've got that dealt with. I know about the CFAR. We are hoping to use the cash back option instead - I'm looking at the medical under "Cancellation Fee Waiver Program" . Cancellation Fee Waiver Program The following Cancellation Fee Waiver Program is provided by Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours and is not an insurance benefit. The Princess Cancellation Fee Waiver Program offers our valued guests the opportunity to receive a refund from Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours (beyond the standard refund policy published in our cruise brochure) for those otherwise non-refundable cruise vacation-related costs prepaid to Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours, should you cancel your cruise vacation for the reasons stated below. Princess Cruise Cancellation Fee Waiver (For Specified Reasons) .................................................Cash Refund Up to Total Cruise Vacation Cost This Cancellation Fee Waiver Program is an addendum to your cruise Ticket Contract. Through the Cancellation Fee Waiver Program, Princess Cruises and/or Princess Tours will waive their standard cancellation provision and refund to you IN CASH the otherwise non-refundable value of your prepaid cruise vacation, should you or your traveling companion need to cancel your cruise vacation for any one of the following reasons (subject to the restrictions noted below**): 1. sickness, injury or death to yourself, a traveling companion, or members of either of your immediate families which is diagnosed and treated by a physician at the time your cruise vacation is terminated; Does anyone have any experience with this? Any tips for how to go about cancelling the cruise and making the claim? Who do I call first? Does it even matter? I see the instructions on the Insurance document so I'll call those numbers this week. Just wondering if anyone had an experience with this. What kind of medical documentation did they require? Any tips from your experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
