  1. The tip is a good idea. Thanks for the "tip". 😉
  2. We are cruising with my son and his family. They have a balcony cabin with my son, his wife and two teenage kids. We have a spa balcony room. What is the policy if we want to give my son and his wife some alone time and have the kids spend the night with us? Is this allowed?
  3. We just did a similar thing. We canceled one cruise and immediately booked another. We lost 200.00. Everything we had paid on the original cruise went towards the down payment on the new one. But I believe a lot will have to do with what promo you booked with.
  4. We just "jumped ship". The hubs and I were booked on the Vista for our 45th this coming May. My son and his family are booked on the Magic a week later. We decided to crash his party, so we canceled our Vista and booked the Magic. I am looking forward to sailing her again. The Dream class is our favorite. We especially like the Cloud 9 Spa.
  5. I only ask this because the wife is DEATHLY afraid of dogs and is even on edge when she sees the"litter box" for pups on the ships. Just curious. I'm really not trying to be rude. What does she do when out in public? There are dogs everywhere.
  6. Lido coffee is not horrible, but it does the job. My main complaint is it is not always as hot as I like. Especially when ordered by room service, but I get why.
  7. Well that freaking figures. I finally turn platinum on my next cruise. 🤪
  8. We did this the last time we played. It did help. But we still didn't win. I would grab a bundle and drop it.
  9. Interesting, but what is it saying? Please translate.
  10. Ok, so those are wrapped in paper. 🙂🙃
  11. Nope. She was pointing out how people disregarded the request of the ship to not take pictures, not to mention the privacy of the patient. If you can't see the difference, there is no further discussion.
  12. It was around $400 for our spa package on the Magic. Spa cabins aren't that much more when you calculate the pass. In addition you get "extras" in your cabin. As a bonus for us, we like the high and foward cabins on the ship and this is where the spa cabins are.
  13. Sorry you had such a challening time with the Magic spa. On our Magic cruise, I was pre-op and on a knee scooter. The spa staff were accommodating and helpful. We bought the spa package on this cruise and loved it so much that we only book spa cabins now.
  14. We enjoy the spa so much that after our first time purching a pass, we always book a spa room.
  15. I was thinking about bringing my metal straws, but washing them would be a pain. I might just brings platic one. Before anyone jumps on me for that, what do you think the candy straws are wrapped in? 🙃
  16. Oh come on, really? You are comparing pictures and videos posted so thousands will see with someone talking about an occurence on a ship? If nothing else the OP was taking up for the family, no names, no pictures, no videos. If it was a family member of mine, I would appreciate the post.
  17. Understood. I am turning platinum on my next cruise. My luggage tags and everything say priority. The poster said they got all the "perks" of Platinum, just their card was still gold.
  18. I think I read somewhere on this board that someone was turning platinum mid cruise and they were issued a gold card. They went to GS and were told they could turn it in for a platinum card on the actual day they officially turn Platinum. 🤷‍♀️
  19. I understand the curiosity, but this is tacky, disrespectful behavior. Would you want your loved one to show up on social media in their most vulnerable condition?
  20. If you book a cruise with no perks, OBC, etc., can you get a price adjustment if a special comes along? Or do you have to cancel and rebook?
  21. That's why we always bring a collapsible tote.
  22. It wasn't confusing. Usually it is one gift per cabin. Edit: I didn't notice the date.
  23. Years ago before I was platinum, I would stalk the website waiting for FTTF to open for our cruise. I can remember only paying $50 for it. It was around $75 the last time we used it. How much is it going for now? Before we would show up early and they would let us on after P/D no matter what time our check in. Not being to stay in the cabin until after 1 is a downer. Not sure it's worth it now.
  24. I always just get coffee in the morning from the buffet. Bleh. How much does just a basic cup of coffee cost. How about a latte?
