  1. I found this - is a few years old though:
  2. On our recent EZ Check use one week ago from the Sky Princess, the day before disembarkation we were delivered our boarding pass and small airline luggage tags (not like the regular ones you get at the airport) - we put them on our bags and put our bags out that night before retiring. When we arrived at our home airport, our bags were there with regular airline tags put over the smaller ones we got on the ship - I can only assume that once our bags made it to the airport that airline staff attached the regular/standard airline tags.
  3. We just disembarked from the Sky Princess this past Saturday and we were in one of the large Window Suites on Deck 17 (Sun Deck). We did order dinner to eat in our suite one night from Room Service from the Main Dining Room menu (room steward indicated to use the MDR menu from the TV which was the same as in the App on my iPhone) without any issues. They told me when I called it would be 45 minutes or so and it was about that long before we got our food. All the food/courses were delivered all at the same time and you could order any drinks/alcohol if you wanted.
  4. We just disembarked from the Sky Princess in Fort Lauderdale this past Saturday and used EZ Check service. It worked great! Yes, flights have to be after 11:30 a.m. from Fort Lauderdale. We received the form in our cabin about 4 days prior to disembarkation and it had to be turned in by the following day. Yes, only the major airlines participate (Delta, American, United and South West if I recall correctly-we were with Delta). You don't find out if you have been accepted until the day prior to disembarkation. It is still $25 per person charged to your on board folio/account (but the charge did not come through until the day of disembarkation). You did need a printed copy of the airline confirmation/itinerary - I went to the Internet cafe, logged into Delta and printed the itinerary with Booking Confirmation on it. There is a space on the EZ Check form to indicate if you should not be charged any bag fees (e.g. we were flying first class so I put that and I also indicated we have a credit card (AMEX) through Delta with first checked bag free). The day prior to disembarkation our room steward delivered the boarding passes and airline luggage tags to be used with instructions to NOT put on any of the regular/standard disembarkation luggage tags (the color coded ones) and where to meet on disembarkation morning. Luggage with airline tags were to be put outside your stateroom prior to retiring the last evening. We had a disembarkation time of 7:10 a.m. and we actually were off the ship by 7:15 or so, went straight through to Customs (facial recognition used so no passport or forms to fill out - just stop, have the camera scan your face and if the light turns green, you are done and on your way). We got on our pre-purchased transfer to airport and were at the airport, through security at our gate by 8:10 a.m. for our 12:00 noon flight. I use the Delta app on my phone and was able to track where my bags were and when they were loaded/unloaded from the plane. Our bags were on the baggage carousel when we arrived at our home airport without any issues!
  5. While our recent experience on the Sky Princess (Jan. 7-14, 2023) was in a Window Suite (next door to the Ocean View cabins you reference) on Deck 17 as far forward as you can go, we felt very little motion way up there on Sun Deck. I am usually prone to feeling queasy/motion sick and I had none this past week. The view was spectacular!!!!
  6. If my memory is correct, when we boarded the Sky Princess a week ago Saturday, we boarded on Deck 5. We disembarked from Deck 6.
  7. On our Sky Princess cruise last week, Tito's and Grey Goose were both included with our Plus package we purchased when we booked the cruise close to a year ago.
  8. My thoughts on this is that since the 'new' upgraded packages don't come into play until next month (Feb. 20 or whatever the specific date is), the drink prices had NOT increased thus we still had the $12 price guideline for Plus drinks. My assumptions are that on/after Feb. 20, the prices of drinks may go up and the $15 drink limit for Plus will be in effect - as I say, this is my thought/guess only!
  9. We just got off the Sky Princess yesterday and they did hav Port Guides available on a rack in the Shore Excursion desk area. But as others have mentioned here, they are not really that helpful, at least not like they were years ago.
  10. We just got off the Sky Princess yesterday and the internet was NOT the best Wifi at Sea however we did learn from staff in the Internet Cafe an easy way to switch devices connected (primarily if you are wanting to switch to a phone/tablet. In the Princess App on your phone/tablet on the bottom right should be 'Profile' and your profile photo if you have uploaded one - click on that and then scroll down to MedallionNet and touch/click there. If you are connected to another device it will tell you and if you want to instead connect the new device, just click the Swap button and it disconnects from the current device connected and connects to the new device. As I said the internet was not the best but it was still ok to check emails and get iMessage/What's App messages (What's App worked much better than iMessage for iPhone so I used What's App when I could). No way you could stream content easily with the MedallionNet Wifi.
  11. We just got off the Sky Princess yesterday (Jan. 14) and in some dining venues (e.g. Alfredos) they had a breakdown of wines by package (e.g. Plus vs Premiere) and by grape/wine varietal (Pinot Grigio, Sav Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir, Cab Sav, etc.). Limits were still $12 per drink for Plus and $18 for Premiere and the prices of drinks/wines were virtually the same as our cruise in August 2022 ($8-$10 per drink on average for spirits/martini's/wines. For the MDR, there was a more extensive wine list in the App (found under the Dining Room menu) with most of the choices for full bottles only. We did not make it to Vines to see what the choices/prices were there.
  12. We also leave Saturday on the Sky Princess and I found a “Wellness Check” section on the online Ocean Ready website. It is in the ‘Suggested’ section further down the page. It basically just asks if you’ve had any Covid symptoms in the past 7 days. I can’t find it on the mobile device app though.
  13. Per the Majestic deck plans, yes there is a Concierge Lounge - Riviera Deck (Deck 14).
  14. Update: When I checked my Princess/Medallion app yesterday, these funky prices were gone and are now at the expected $39 for CG and $35 for Sabatini's. I never did get around to emailing/calling about it - the glitchy app fixed itself!
  15. That may be it but not sure why other it being a “glitch” in the “funky” app. I live in the US and have booked in US dollars. All my other cruises I have booked show $39 for Crown Grill and $35 for Sabatini’s.
  16. I hopefully was able to upload a screen shot of our Alaskan cruise showing the $52.65 charge for the Crown Grill and $47.25 for Sabatini's.
  17. In the Princess (Medallion) app, now when I go to make a reservation at Crown Grill on my May 27, 2023 Grand Princess Alaska cruise, the price per person is listed as $52.65 (almost double from the previous $29 per person). We definitely will not be giving them that. I can handle the price going up to $39.00 but $52.65 - nope. I can only assume it is because it is 'Alaska' and we are just fine with the main dining room food/experience. We have dined many times in Crown Grill on previous cruises.
  18. I agree that Cesar is great. I have been lucky to get him on the phone twice about 4-5 weeks apart. He went over and above what I have come to expect from Princess “Navigators” as they are called.
  19. I just had one of our shore excursions we booked an paid for (months ago) on our Sky Princess cruise in January 2023 disappear over the weekend. That specific shore excursion does not show in the available excursions any longer either. I called Princess today and after the phone 'navigator' got my information I was put on hold for him to check on this - after multiple times coming back t let me know he was still working on it, he came back on the line after about 30 minutes on hold/him checking and told me that even his supervisor could not determine why the excursion was cancelled and no notification to me. He did tell me that I would be refunded in 10-15 days. Then later this after this afternoon I got an email from Princess for this cruise with 'Emergency Notification' as the subject - letting me know that the missing shore excursion was removed from my booking as it was no longer available 'for operational reasons'. The only thing can think of as for the reason is due to the hurricane in Puerto Rico recently.
  20. I searched online for 'ships in port schedule' and this website popped up along with a few others but this one seemed more user friendly. I have never used it but it does seem to have most ports that I looked for: cruisedig.com https://cruisedig.com
  21. We had S108 on Sky Princess booked for our January 2023 cruise until I read this. Luckily S107 was still available and I called Princess this morning and was able to switch to S107 with no issues. We still would have been fine in S108 but glad I was able to switch. Thankful to read about these differences - I had no idea!
  22. If you have gratuities paid for by Princess (as part of a package or promotion) or by yourself (if you did not book the Plus or Premiere package) then additional tipping is not required unless you want to give any server additional cash gratuity. The servers are included in the general gratuity.
  23. We just got off the Caribbean Princess on Monday and I can confirm that the Elite discount of 10% off Shore Excursions was posted in our on board folio/account when we boarded. We didn't have to do anything - it automatically showed up as well as a 10% discount on some photos that we purchased.
  24. Yes, I had that problem earlier this afternoon however I just tried again now and everything seemed to be working/normal again.
  25. I check by going to the App Store app on my iPhone (not sure about Android or other models) and search for the Medallion Class app. If it shows 'Update' then you need to click Update. If the App Store just shows Open, then it would seem you have the most up to date version. I have my phone settings set to update automatically but some people choose to update manually.
