  1. If you end up in a suite, I'm quite certain you could talk to your butler and ask for luggage tags that match those of your Concierge family members. Then your luggage would be unloaded at the same time as theirs and into the same location to make logistics easier. You would be giving up the priority handling of suite luggage and waiting in the Retreat Lounge for disembarkation. Where in Indiana? I grew up near Indy.
  2. If you choose Eden, make your reservations immediately as there is limited seating and reservations fill up quickly. Our dinner in Eden on Apex was one of the best we've had in all our Celebrity cruises. DH & I are among the few who enjoyed Le Petite Chef. There are now 3-4 different "stories," - I think we saw the one about the cooking contest when on Edge. Rooftop Grill was OK. We had a lot of OBC - don't think I would pay out of my own pocket to dine there. Enjoy your cruise, whatever you decide.
  3. We were on Equinox last fall and on a whim, decided to take this tour. It was our 11th Celebrity cruise and no one asked us if we were new to the cruise line. We did sign up in advance, I think in Excursions once we got onboard The tour was brief, covered only public areas and made a point of telling you about all the places where Celebrity is willing to take your money (bars, stores, casino). However, we did learn a few new things about the ship. We've been on the Behind the Scene tours on all three class ships - absolutely no comparison in the two tours, despite the photo. If you are sailing in a suite and request it, sometimes your butler can get you a brief tour of the bridge. Enjoy your cruise.
  4. I stand corrected. I will never reach Zenith, so don't think of it!
  5. No - only suites. If I remember correctly, there is a dedicated disembarkation location. There will be information in your stateroom. There should be lunch in the Main Dining Room for Concierge guests (if your boarding time is earlier enough). Enjoy your first Celebrity cruise.
  6. If I remember correctly, there are two controls. Lower one determines where water comes out - shower head, sprayer in middle of back, etc. Upper one is on/off - seems like we turned it to the right. Your butler should have left you a card with a phone number - call it - someone will always answer the phone. If not, call Guest Services. Good luck!!
  7. Charla - so looking forward to following you again. What a beautiful suite. We'll be on Silhouette next month for the 4 night Key West/Nassau trip and splurged on a (lowly) Celebrity Suite. Thanks to everyone for the embarkation tips as it's been a long time since we last sailed out of Miami. Kay (& Mark)
  8. Hi - if you have difficulty with stairs, have you researched the tub/shower combo in the Sky Suites? It is a shallow sunken Roman tub and you have to step over the lip, then down to get in the tub. You can hold on to the right side of the permanent glass wall, but there are no useful grab rails. I am challenged by steps when my knees are acting up, but I did find this tub easier to get in and out of than I thought it would be. The first two photos are similar to what we had in S1 and S2 Sky Suites. The last photo is from an Aft Sky Suite, so the bathroom layout is a bit different, but the height of the tub looks the same as we had.
  9. If I had a chance to upgrade to a SS for just $2k, I would definitely go for it. In addition to the Retreat Sundeck, Apex has a covered outside area on the port side just outside the Retreat Lounge. Fresh air with walls on three sides, so minimal wind. The Retreat Lounge offers nice views from inside. The extra space in a SS over an IV for a transatlantic, the view from the bed & the bathroom when the mirror is "open," being pampered by a butler, and the overall suite experience would tip the scale in our household. Enjoy, whatever you choose.
  10. No - this was a 7 night Eastern Caribbean.
  11. Clarification - Summit is an M class ship. The S class ships have heated indoor pools (solarium), but not the T-pools found only on the M class ships: Connie, Millie, Summit and Infinity .
  12. No luggage valet offered for Apex when we returned to Port Everglades on Dec. 10.
  13. Ditto here. We thought Eden was the best meal we've ever had in our dozen Celebrity cruises. DH & I enjoy logistics and requested a table so we could see the open kitchen. Was really enjoyable to see how all the dishes were prepared and plated. Do reserve in advance as it is very difficult to get a reservation once onboard. Enjoy!
  14. Source? We're sailing her in early May and there are no gaps in sailings showing on Celebrity website in May.
  15. Ditto here - we're on the 12/3 Apex cruise as well. Yikes - we leave tomorrow and I haven't started packing yet.😵 Hope you & Iain have a fantastic time and I'll catch you as I can. Kay
  16. Tom - watched you sail away last night. Your trip has definitely had a rough start, so things can only improve!!! Hope you really enjoy the rest of your cruise - nice sea day today to unwind and several interesting ports ahead (if one can believe cruisetimetables.com).
  17. Is this for new Future Cruise reservations or would it apply to one purchased in March, 2022 that has not yet been used?
  18. Not as colorful, but this also has information: https://www.cruisetimetables.com/
  19. Thank you everyone for your feedback. It is reassuring to know that expedited service has returned to being expedited. Kay
  20. Welcome to Celebrity! My Travel Agent has switched staterooms with no charge - I even got a refund when I downgraded one category in a suite. If you wanted to get an All Inclusive cruise and the website problem prevented that, it might be worth the time to call Celebrity (or your Travel Agent if they booked it) and tell them you want your booking changed to AI with no change fee because you weren't allowed to book the AI due to the glitch. Seems you should not have to cancel and re-book once the website is working properly. Hope your husband is doing well. My first cruise with my DH was to celebrate 1 year of being cancer free and to make new memories on the anniversary of my surgery. Now when I think of that date, I smile. Great itinerary - we just did that one in September.
  21. Another vote for the Riverside. We stayed in the Tower, which is the newer part of the hotel. There is a Water Taxi stop right by the hotel as well as a Water Trolley stop. Shops on Los Olas are delightful and there are many restaurants nearby - the hotel has 3.
  22. Cruising in December, February and May. About 8 weeks between Feb. & May travel. Up to 5 weeks for expedited processing plus mailing time and need to wait till Feb. trip ends to send. Makes me nervous. Will verify with the Canadian government the 6 month requirement. Thanks everyone for all this info. Kay
  23. Thank you! I'll check with the Canadian government regarding the 6 month rule. My passport will still be valid for all planned travel, it just won't have 6 months left on it when we are in Canada in May. Kay
