  1. Looks like with Elite Plus a rose is added. Very pretty. Really enjoying following along and LOVE that red dress! You looked smashing.
  2. Hi Jim - like others, really looking forward to following along. We were in Key West in Feb. and while we didn't score any key lime pie, I found the frozen key lime pie on a stick dipped in white chocolate to be one of the best sweets I've ever eater. Only the fear of a sugar coma kept me from getting a second one. We found them at a little shop along the line of stores just when you come off the ship. Enjoy
  3. We were in a Sky Suite on Apex last December. Unfortunately, our luggage was stolen at the airport, so I did a lot of hand laundry during our cruise. (Thankfully we had some clothes in our carry-on bag along with medicine, etc.) I used the gray pool/Solarium towels to remove as much moisture as I could, then hung clothes, swim suites, etc. from hangers. Everything dried quickly overnight.

  5. Hi and welcome to cruising with Celebrity. Not to dampen your enthusiasm, but just to make sure you understand. Only Coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate packets, juice blends (from dispenser), water (from dispenser), lemonade, and iced tea are free at meals. Most are available whenever the Ocean View Cafe (buffet) is open as well. Bottled water, soft drinks, sparkling water, cappuccino, cafe latte, specialty coffee drinks and teas available at Cafe Al Bacio, special drinks from the Spa Cafe and non-alcoholic wine/cocktails/beer are not free. A 20% gratuity is added to all beverage purchases. Hope you enjoy your cruises.
  6. Solstice is doing a 9 night out of Vancouver on May 3rd. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
  7. We've seen 3 of the LPC shows, and this was our least favorite. The Family and the Cooking Contest have far more animation and we found them much more engaging. (Food has always been delicious, however.) Your outfits are precious, as is your daughter. Hope you have recovered from Catalina and will have fond memories of all of the rest of the trip. (Your itinerary is very unique with just 2 ports of call.) What do you think of the CS bathroom? We were in a CS on Silhouette last month and I hated it - very claustrophobic for me, and I usually don't have that problem. Enjoy your sea days.
  8. Chic applies only to the MDR - not to specialty restaurants, Blu, Luminae or the buffet. Years ago, people "dressed up" for dinner and the theatre. Now you see everything everywhere all evening. There will always be people who judge, and there will always be people in the theatre in shorts.
  9. Once onboard, just go the the MDR at the time you want to eat. If it is a popular time (6:30 pm - ~8:00 pm) and the line is long, you may be given a pager.
  10. John - thank you for remembering more of the App check-in details than I did! Kay (proud Navy brat)
  11. Hi - according to this recent thread, it depends upon the location of the departure port, as check-in is at midnight in the departure location. I just checked-in on Monday for a May cruise and, for the first time, did it using the app. Much faster than doing it via the website, if that is an option for you. Enjoy your cruise.
  12. Thank you Sprocket and psuboater. Our local airport is a breeze to get through and I've forgotten how much more time a large international hub airport can take. Thankfully, we seem to be the only ship in port that day.
  13. So sorry your flight was cancelled. Unfortunately don't know anything about lounges, but: If your hotel reservation could not be cancelled at the last minute, then you technically could go to the hotel at 6 am and get the room you have reserved. (If hotel is pre-paid, you often can't cancel, so they would "owe" you access to the room you paid for.) Just an outside-of-the-box thought. [When I was researching day passes, they often were not available until 9 am.]
  14. It's a short international flight - does the 3-hour-rule apply. We have TSA precheck and will probably be flying on Alaska Air or United/Air Canada. Flight will be in mid-May on a Friday afternoon. (Does day of the week make any difference?) We will use the Port Luggage Valet service for our bags. And yes, we are aware of the other options - train, shuttle bus, drive, etc. But we are choosing to fly. Thanks so much.
  15. This isn't a TA - it is the only 9 night itinerary that Solstice will be doing this season in Alaska and it is pretty much sold out. Ferry_Watcher - thank you for asking. I'm on the East coast and was wondering if I could check in at midnight EDT or if I had to wait until 3 am. See you onboard.
  16. Those are what are affectionately referred to as the good old days. Lunch is not currently included.
  17. Where X usually equals 25 (We left from Terminal 25 for Apex and for Edge)
  18. Absolutely beautiful. With your permission, I'd like to add it to the sunset collection hanging in my home office. We took the same cruise in September and Hurricane Ian was with us the entire trip, so most of our pictures involve rain! Yours are spectacular.
  19. We flew into Miami in December for an Apex cruise. We don't know where our luggage went. Once onboard, we reported the "lost" bag to both Guests Services and the Retreat Concierge. Both told us they would follow up with Delta to track the progress of the bag. We didn't ever hear back from anyone onboard. Thankfully, we had good internet and could keep contacting Delta ourselves. As other have suggested, get a good tracking device. We still have not gotten our bag - if we'd had a tracker in it, at least we would have a clue where it is!
  20. Hello and welcome to Celebrity. There is absolutely no need to pack semi-formal/formal wear. "Chic Night" does not require anything formal. Nice collared shirt and slacks for men and a nice top & slacks/skirt or nice dress for ladies. No sports coats/ties or cocktail dresses needed. My DH often wears a silk Hawaii shirt and dress slacks. For dinners in the main dining room/Blu/Luminae/specialty restaurants, a collared shirt and slacks for men and a top & slacks/skirt or casual dress for ladies. I've worn nice capri pants and a nice looking top with sandals for dinner with no problems. As people have mentioned, shorts at dinner are a no-no. Enjoy your cruise.
  21. Concierge staterooms on the M class are larger than regular verandas. On S class they are the same size. Solarium on M class has Thalassotherapy Pool. No grass on M class ships. No glass blowing. No Lawn Club Grill or Porch Persian Garden is nicer on the S class. Millennium has Rooftop Terrace located aft on Deck 12. Outdoor movies shown here. Views from Qsine on M class are much nicer than on S class. (Sadly, Qsine is no more. Now this space is home to Le Petite Chef.) M class mid-ship glass elevators are neat, if you enjoy moving glass cages. I'm pretty sure the S class has more shops/stores. Enjoy your first M class cruise.
