  1. thank you for posting your thoughts. Glad you had a wonderful cruise.
  2. Thank you for taking the time to give us such a detailed wrap up. Glad to know that you did eventually get home. You had some interesting not so good aspects to your trip but seemed to deal with everything with grace.
  3. I am sure they will, in fact i would be surprised if they didn't replace them as soon as they see them empty or near empty whether you have the chance to ask them or not.
  4. As always great pictures and interesting commentary. thank you.
  5. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Photos and commentary are great. Continue having a super trip.
  6. Thanks Susan. Love following your trip. Continue to enjoy your cruise.
  7. I believe i read in past posts that they did have a celebration for Super Bowl and showed the game. It might depend on what part of the world you are in and how easy it is for them to get it. Never been on a cruise during Super Bowl so don't have first hand knowledge.
  8. looking forward to your posts. Have a wonderful cruise.
  9. i am surprised by this. As they make such a big deal about the Christmas decorations i am surprised they wouldn't have a Hanukkah menorah in a prominent place and light it each day. CD reaction strange but maybe he didn't know what to say and went the coward's way by just not responding. Like Avidtrvler i think you should let Regent know your disappointment so they consider it for the future or at least explain why it isn't done.
  10. Symbol used to denote that the tour is considered active to very active and should only be taken by people who have no mobility issues as cwn said and able to walk long distances or on challenging terrain etc.
  11. looking forward to hearing about your trip when you get the chance. Particularly interested in how Voyager is holding up. We board her in about 5 weeks.
  12. If you want to try a few different dishes but not able(or desire) to eat a full entree with other courses you can get any entree in appetizer size. Often I have ordered mutiple courses all appy size in order to not over eat but to enjoy a variety of dishes. Sometimes the decisions are just too hard to make and this way i get to try all of what i want. Often appy size doesn't come with veggies and i love my veggies so i ask to add some of whatever they are serving that night to the appy. Alternatively if none of the entrees tickle your fancy but you like an appy and want that for your main course you can always ask for the appy to be made entree size. Love Regent's flexibility.
  13. Thanks for correcting my info. We generally carry one along with a cork screw and wine stopper when we travel for those places that don't provide them so i didn't remember that Regent provided it.
  14. We always keep a bottle of champagne in the fridge. We bring along our own champagne stopper so we can easily just have a glass and the it doesn't go flat before we have the next glass. I love to have a glass while i unpack and then when i have to re-pack. One is a welcome to a great trip and the other for drowning my sorrows from having to leave.
  15. In spite of my earlier response there is nothing wrong with taking the transfer but because you asked about taking an Uber it seemed to me that you might enjoy getting there at your own time and pace. We usually take the transfer cuz we are in cities we aren't familiar with and are not bothered by arriving by bus with other passengers. Though in our case the buses have rarely been full so were quite comfortable. Yes the wait can be longer to board but in the past it hasn't really been a problem. Have a great cruise.
  16. I would use their luggage transfer and then get a taxi or uber for yourselves. They will pick up your luggage from your hotel room and next time you see it will be in your cabin. You just need to check with the RSSC rep at the hotel to make sure it is okay for them to handle your luggage without you and to let them know you will not be taking the transfer. Just keep whatever personal items with you.
  17. Thank you for the gorgeous photos. Greatly enjoying your ongoing adventures. I am so appreciative of cruisers that take the time to bring us along. Continue having a fun trip.
  18. GP thanks again for taking us along. I am looking forward to your next cruise and commentary almost as much as i am looking forward to our first cruise in 3 years that we will be on in January/February 2023. If time and the internet allow, I will try and do a blow by blow of our trip though i doubt it will be half as entertaining as yours.
  19. thank you cwn for bringing us alone for the continuation of Splendor's voyage. Have a wonderful cruise.
  20. Thanks for keeping us up to date on your voyage. We did this itinerary a few years ago. Continue to enjoy your trip.
  21. We will be going through the Drake Passage on Feb 8, 2023 onboard Voyager and i am hoping for 1 of those lucky days where it is smooth sailing. Quite a few years ago we boarded a ship in Chile that had just gone through the Drake Passage and it had been like glass but on an earlier voyage the waves had been so high it blew out a window in the top deck lounge. We saw the evidence of it as we embarked the ship and saw the boarded up window. It is very sad that someone lost their life on the Viking Polaris sailing. Something i don't think you expect to be a possibility when you board a cruise ship but freak things can happen.
  22. We stayed at the Hilton Toyko and really enjoyed our stay. We weren't with Regent so booked an executive level room that included access to the executive lounge. We ate breakfast there before leaving for a day of touring and then had drinks and snacks there for dinner. The appies were so good and varied that we never felt the need to go out for dinner. It may be worth looking into upgrading.
  23. All but 1 of our Regent cruises have been on Voyager with the 1 being on Explorer. Though i do like Voyager, I have to admit to being somewhat disappointed with her after being on the newer Explorer. When we were on her she was showing her age, though i think she was refurburished after that. We missed the better cabin layout on Explorer, the ability to eat in the speciality restaurants for lunch and Pacific Rim. As well at first we missed the 2nd sink but got over that. Our next cruise is on Voyager because we choose our cruises based on itinerary rather than ship. The suite on Voyager is slightly smaller than on Explorer though i am not sure it is 100 sq ft unless you are including the balcony. I wouldn't hesitate to book Voyager if it is going where i want to go. I will see how i feel after our next cruise at the end of January.
  24. i agree with CruiserBruce, Frankfurt would be my last choice.
