Morning 4.c this morning ,sat enjoying a nice cuppa , having a glance through the papers. I see Michael Caine at the age of 90 has said he's going to retire . Not a lot of people know that.🙃 Have a good day !

With Cunard we had reached the dizzy heights of "First timers " We got robes ,slippers and a nice bottle of plonk chilling in the fridge .

Mrs K has dug this out from a site she uses ,they make out it is normal routine work.🤔 As for land based restaurants ,we were in Gibraltar and coming down the main drag there was a gully pump wagon that was sucking up sewerage out of a man hole. Whilst this was going on they had street diners sat less than 10ft away eating and a waiter trying to get more punters in for a meal 😲 Smelt awful .

Where have you moved to ? Cos by my reckoning that's -13 ,c 😲 Wrap up really well and take care 😉

Great to see you had a great time ,I said to Mrs K that I thought you were away . She asked what makes you think that ? Apart from the lack of McBreakfast's by the sea and posting late in the day ,nowt really 🤣 Great to have you back ,wrap up well and keep warm 🙂

We had a young couple move in next door, both are self employed, and have 3 kids. They had a loft conversion to give more space . As we have big long gardens he had a man cave size of a porta cabin built with a power supply at the top away from the houses . He had a bar with music centre etc and uses this as a workplace /relax centre. When doing this work he always let us know in case of any noise . So there is always other options available other than an extension .

Looking back to the mid 70's going into the 80's ,makes you wonder what went wrong with our towns . Ours used to have 4 cafes a restaurant and a steak house (evenings) all run by the council. Now we have out of town shopping centres and fast food outlets . The towns not too bad if you like betting shops charities and a town centre Tesco where everyone parks to save paying the council carparks . Progress ? Onwards and upwards as they say 🤔😒

What they need is a cunning plan . I would treat myself to a mini wine fridge from Currys , on purchase they offer to dispose of your old fridge for £15 😉

Morning 12.c wet and looking bleak this morning. Think autumn is here now. Weird people can pop up when you least expect them . The other day we were traveling towards our local school, which has road ramps and a zebra crossing . It was about 11 am and we were doing about 20 mph , which we do near any school entrance , no other cars in sight . A lady came out of the school gates ,looked towards our car and walked as fast as she could towards the crossing as though she was in a rush to cross the road. By now we had stopped at the crossing,so she could cross over. Now with a few yards to the crossing she took the tiniest steps,stopped did the green cross code , then gazed up into the sky for another ten seconds or so , then she looked at us whilst dipping her toe onto the crossing like it was a swimming pool before stepping back . Then just calmly walked off with a big grin on her face . What was all that about ? I expect it maybe with young children but a fully grown woman ? Just plain weird !🤔

Tis the season to be jolly scary ! We called to see grand kids and noted a lot of gardens already decked out for Halloween !

There's a lot of posts today about rubbish , Wheely lots of them to choose from .🙃 A bloke over the road now works on a rubbish collection round , he said there is not much training ,he just picks it up as they go along 😉

Morning 😃 The temperature has really dropped over night 5.c but our living room is just a bit over 19.c so no need to fire the CH up yet, All this talk of hats reminds me of when as a child,my dad had a ashtray that was a rowing boat. As he never used it I would play with it and put it on my head like a hat . Of course it did not fit ,that was until I found out ,if I turned it upside down ,........ then it was cap sized 🙃😉 Have a good day 🙂

Yep you could have right fun with them . A couple stood looking at a picture and said .. " Look at the state of her , Oh dear " As I was stood next to them i replied " That's my auntie Joyce ,all she was doing is having a good time ! " It was great to see them squirm and apologize,whilst looking mortified and tell me how sorry they were. Only for me to tell them as I walked away ,"No problem I just made the whole thing up "🤣

Morning all, I too was in the wide awake club at 3:30 am due to Mrs K waking up to a sore arm (injection site) and complaining of being cold and shivering . I went into paramedic mode , got up made her a drink and gave her paracetamol. She seems a bit better this morning and the good news is she only has one sore arm 🙃 Me thinks next week I will be keeping myself right well dosed up for the first 24 hours when I go for my jabs .
