  1. We are booked on the same one. Can't wait! which resort did you go to? we have a later flight and are considering this option
  2. Did she have a different phone then the rest of your party? thanks for the review
  3. We have the same suite in less than a month. When is your sailing?
  4. it was sent out to certain people who had cruised before last fall
  5. What time was the long line to get off the ship? Our flight is later afternoon would waiting until last minute to get off be the best option for shorter lines?
  6. What is your final verdict on the spa pass for the week? Was it worth it?
  7. I know RL ship has 80s night. I really wish they would nix the 70s night on VL and change to 80s night. I mean really don't they know their audience better with all the 40-50 somethings onboard now and even the younger generations love the 80s better then 70s.
  8. 3/16/24 to 3/23/24 is Atlantis chartered cruise
  9. Is there a different luggage drop off line for rock stars?
  10. Interested in doing this ourselves. Does this get you unlimited access to the spa for the entire cruise? How does this work exactly? We went for an hour slot on our last cruise and it was nice but I actually enjoy the Carnival and MSC thermal areas much better mostly because of the extremely small 1 person hot tub and cold tubs that VV has in the area. And the "hot tile area" is just a flat piece of marble that was luke warm at best and very uncomfortable on VV compared to the nice tile lounger on the other lines. Wish they would correct this space.
  11. Great review and agree with a lot of your points having sailed multiple lines. Headed back for our second VV soon.
  12. Looking forward to hearing about your travels and interested to see how you spend all the loot. We sail in March and are in the same boat 😉 with the large amount of loot/bar tab. Last count is about $2400 between dbe/regular credit give and make up credit (from canceled valiant lady cruise) and some extra from TA and taking a survey. Wondering if we should be planning daily massage or if we can drink our way through all that loot. Either way at looking forward to see how you spend it all. Have fun!!
  13. Absolutely. the number of videos I have seen on Tik tok recently with people reviewing their sea terrace suite one minute and up on Richard's rooftop the next initially confused me. Then I realized this was going on.
  14. Love this review. Getting excited for our cruise in a little more than 6 weeks now. Really enjoy hearing about the activities and foods you enjoy. also love the balcony view you have this morning. Super jealous. That is my favorite thing to do on any cruise is sit on my balcony and read on sea days. We have SAS biggest terrace this trip and can’t wait to lounge there every day.
  15. Just saw this on another website. This makes enjoying RR even nicer during happy hour. Love the new addition to free offerings.
  16. What time did the RS get let into the terminal and what time did they board if you can remember?
  17. Looking forward to reading about your trip. I see your name is scubagal. do you plan to dive this trip? we had wanted to book this itinerary just for the awesome dive opportunities but there were no rock star suites left in sept when they booted us off our original booking to give Valiant to this itinerary.
  18. We have done Carnival, Disney, RCI, MSC and VV in the past. In the last year, we did VV, MSC, and Carnival and have loved every single one. Each cruise has a different vibe. I agree with the above person who stated they would never do MSC outside yacht club (though we have never done that we did see what was available on our three MSC yacht club trips and it was not great outside the bubble). We are not fans of shows on carnival and MSC and just avoid those. VV shows are fun but I don't like the reservation system for shows and dinners and feeling that I have to constantly stay on my phone to look manage those. All this to say it depends on the cruise you are looking for. If you are looking for the most laid back cruise with little planning required and feeling of being pampered and catered to around the clock then we love MSC for this. The yacht club is nice in that you just show up to dinner or lunch whenever and there is a table ready for you. we honestly loved the yacht club food. Even my 20 something kids enjoyed yacht clubs laid back feel. (there were only 2 younger well behaved kids on all the sailings we have done with MSC and one of ours was during summer. we were on the younger side and we are upper 40s). The butlers are awesome and we loved the lounge in the evening with singer/piano player and drink service with nice snacks. also the ocean cay yacht club area had a very nice restaurant and service on the beach. the beaches around the island are really nice too and not over crowded. If you are looking for more activity and entertainment the go with VV. Their entertainment staff are fun and interactive with guest and seem genuinely happy. There seems to be something fun going on that you can choose to participate in or not but again some of this takes more planning and reservations. The food on VV is better in that there are more options but the planning that it takes to go to dinner is a little frustrating. would be great if you could just show up and get a pager/beeper and then hang at a bar until time. Really hate having to have everything planned and booked so much eg. if I am enjoying a conversation with new friends at the pool or bar hate to cut it short to make a reservation that was made months ahead of cruise. The drinks on VV are miles above other lines and are way more consistent from bar to bar as compared to other lines. The private area on bimini is nice but we liked MSC ocean cay for overall experience (only missing a pool)
  19. Our reservations window opens up soon for the PR to miami cruise in march. Just trying to plan which restaurants we want to duplicate now. Thanks for the info from everyone
  20. so you were allowed to board with/ahead of rock stars with only DBE or SOR
  21. Our first and only VV cruise was a 5 night cruise. Subsequently, we were limited to reservations in a different restaurant every night and were unable to repeat a booking in same restaurant (eg. two night in wake) ahead of time. What is the policy on an 8 night cruise? How many bookings in the same restaurant will I be allowed to make when booking window opens up for us. We are not a fan of test kitchen but love Pink agave and wake and would like to repeat those. will we be able to make duplicate bookings in the same restaurant ahead of time and if so how many times can you book the same restaurant ahead of the cruise?
  22. What is carlos drag name? We had Titty Kaka and felt like she was the best drag performer we have ever seen and really enjoyed her but I see she is on Resilient lady after feb in Australia. hoping for a great one on Valiant lady in March
  23. Yes we were one of the ones they allowed to book. I only discovered it was a chartered cruise when I went to find the group on FB. It would have been a fun trip but we decided to move to the next week assuming they would cancel our booking. luckily they had our same cabin type on the san juan to miami sailing. but wish we could have kept the 3/16 itinerary. Also would have been a blast to be on a chartered gay cruise. we are hetero couple but would have still had fun I am sure
