  1. I'd say can we swop QA for QV and have QV back S'ton making the home runs? Please! 🙂
  2. Apparently, it's specified in S'ton and NY but we have had QG boarding in S'pore, HK, LA and San Francisco. All before Covid I must add.
  3. So that's a no. Boarding by deck will have no effect on QG passengers or, I imagine, PG. They will still get their priority as in early, boarding so it's not an issue. and the original comment was about the World Club tiers, not cabin class.
  4. Did you ask? I have no axe to grind here as we are usually the first or second to board in S'ton but if I were a QG passenger and didn't get to board asap. I'd be pretty miffed.
  5. I'd get more benefit from watching Ilie Nastase shots than an Illy coffee machine! Luckily, I'm no coffee connoisseur so my instant is fine. I just should have had two, to wake me up as I played in a Bridge tournament online last night and was wide awake until around 3.30am so was pretty tired this morning. Don't play Bridge late at night if you want a decent night's sleep! 🙁
  6. Ah. Thanks for that. I should have sworn at it in Italian, I'll know next time! 🙂
  7. Thank you. I have tried a machine a couple of times, hoping it was user error but no, I completely agree. Sludge 'r us. That's why I take my own instant! Now if I could just get fresh milk in a jug all the time, coffee would be perfect!
  8. Yep. Tedious waits on the phone are not on my agenda. Hopefully, agents are also better at crafting messages without errors. Having read through my post, I think I should have had double coffee before commenting. Not exactly my finest hour but I stand by the sentiments. 😀
  9. Why use an agent? Excellent travel agents are also there as an added insurance when life goes toes up as it did march '20 onwards. They will go the extra mile for their clients ro either sort onward travel out, asap, makes sure refunds are given, asap, and aqre genreally very good eggs at giving excellent service. As I have said many a time, some agents might not discount, but when the chips are down, they are there for their clients. When booking with them, you are an individual, not one of nearly a thousand trhying to get through/book direct and yes, they have the same booking arrangements as \the Cunard staff member at the end of a phone eg our '25 cruises were all booked within one and a half munutes of the cruises goin g live. My agent ended up advising non clients [well they were non at the time of advice, many are now clients] what to do during the disastrous cruise seasons of '20 and '21 when their own agents were dragging their feet. He has also helped us with Cunard when we have had two problems. I'm sure it helped we are excellent clients of Cunard but he did the legwork. You will never know how good an agent is, until you really need one. For us, we look upon it as another layer of travel insurance. Hope that will do for starters. 🙂
  10. Accessory wise, Amazon sells flapper headbands and long faux strings of pearls, I agree with Big Mac though in our experience, few dress in flapper gear [dresses].
  11. However much you jest, sadly [not on this forum], some may agree with you.
  12. Ha. Nice . Can't remember the last time I used them as I sold two Louis Vuitton bags [made a decent profit] well before Covid and just have a large Tote left and that's been gathering dust for years so I'll probably sell that as well as I'll never use it. I'll make a decent profit on that one too. I suppose I could say they were a good investment as they are silly money now. 😀
  13. Can recommend Addo Elephant National Park.Easy one day trip from Port Elizabeth.
  14. We do that in addition to the garish ribbons. Our straps are luminous yellows and pinks and lime green etc. The more 'you' make the cases stand out, in the sea of black and blue, the better. If Samsonite did a yellow case with pink spots, I'd buy them!! 😀
  15. I am zinkeeing ve ave vays ov feendeeng zem out
  16. Hmmm I think this ranks with 'what did you pay' 'what cabin are you in'! and 'what do you do for a living' Intrusive and to be ignored.
  17. If anyone asked me as a wife and partner, I would tell them what they could do with an iron!😀
  18. I have to say, I don't make a habit of looking at chaps' backsides, but never say never...especially after your post! 😀
  19. No, you give over. 🙂 It's a holiday and there's no place for an iron on my holiday but there's place which will press garments for me and anyone else and it's called the laundry. So if steaming 'it' in the shower doesn't work, send it out! Edit and my evening [just] before six ritual involves a bottle and a glass or occasionally a piece of fruit and a can to go with the bottle and glass! 🙂
  20. Hmm deja vu. My husband pulled up flowers and left the weeds when we first got married. I think he did it on purpose. Whatever, it worked. He's not gardened since! ☺️
  21. Apart from crew going up to ask for cabin numbers, I don't see how it will be possible to discern who's a 'griller and who isn't and if I wasn't, I certainly would evade any questions from a fellow guest. The only time it would become an issue for me is if, as Big mac pointed out, all the seats/sunbeds were taken and there were non 'grillers there but to repeat, how can one tell?
  22. Might be but we have never put it to the test as staff have enough to do on turnaround day without having to bring us breakfast. They do however, bring us cereal, fresh oj and milk, plus required plates and cutlery the day before which we can very cleverly utilise without a Butler prepared table prior to disembarkation. 🙂
