I only take a smartphone on European cruises because the focal lengths are fine for Europe. I do bring a swimsuit because sometimes using the hot tub is soothing. It really does not take up much packing space. You need your phone charger and cables. Sunscreen, a small daypack.

There are lots of things in life that are not fair. Cruise lines are will known for not being fair. Some time people have been known to take advantage and will if they are too nice. We have people posting threads on Cruise Critic how to use kids meals to avoid paying for specialty restaurants. If you need fair don't book a cruise. They are hard **** They have lots of scammy practices like art auctions etc. Honest I think all this points chasing is a lot of effort for little return. I will take them if they give them for sure but it is a marketing program. The cruise line is not awarding them out of fairness..

The points are for going on the cruise. They are not for purchasing a cruise. They make that clear. If I buy two cabins in addition to my own, two for family member I don't get points for the other cabins. But hey if you want to argue with the cruise line, and beg the cruise line for points go for it. Good luck!

I am surprised that UK policies cover travel to the US then. If US policies didn't cover visits to countries our State Department had advisories about then the insurance companies would go out of busness....

That is a good start. Glad you have done 3 different cruise lines.and have not got into a one cruise line rut. Those points are really not that important. I never thought about points or loyal to one when I started 28 years ago and eventually I got to good levels on several cruise lines by jut cruising.Celebrity and Royal both at one time when I was close to the next level essentially devalued my pionts.just before my next tier. I didn't think that was fair but they can do what they want. It was like Lucy and Charlie Brown with the football. At least so far my points have been forever. Other loyalty programs have time limits etc.

You can't tell from looking at someone whether they are handicapped, Many handicapped people can walk. Also I have never booked a handicapped cabin but twice from Bayonne I was in a handicapped cabin. Once on a guarantee and once I was surprise upgraded.

Buildings do have evacuation plans and procedures if there is a fire. As far as whether they are opposition leaders or not...... I hate to be cynical but I would not be sure the current government is any different from the gangs. Who killed the President? Who benefited? It seems those who are governing now.

I think OP will just get madder if they say no which is likely. The customer does not sound very loyal to me. And they have not cruised Celebrity that much as they are not yet Elite. I don’t think they are likely to upend their policy for her.

If that is true Royal needs to give those passengers an option to cancel without penalty. Yes, they should think about it. I would not be surprised if they paused sailings to Labadee.

Certainly there is. If you use free WiFi I hope you have a VPN. What is free is not really free, don’t trust a free hot spot and that includes VPN’s. Don’t trust a free VPN either.

You don’t have to cruise on those. For that matter don’t cruise with the Royal Caribbean Group. It’s not like there is no alternative cruise lines.

If cruisers won’t book then they will take Labadee off the itinerary. Apparently that hasn’t happened yet despite the whining here.

You were lucky with Coco Cay. Before the dock was built we missed all three times.

The day we were there we were able to dock at the pier that is parallel to Costa but we watched an NCL ship try to dock at the perpendicular pier. After 3 tries they aborted.

Didn't take the cruise, got reimbursed and still wants the points. Sounds entitled. The points are for taking the cruise not booking it. If they issued points for booking then people who book multiple rooms or who pay for others would claim points. Opens up a can of worms. I was in the same situation, had to cancel for medical reasons, the insurence paid and no points. I was happy that I had insurence and was made whole. Insurence or not I don't see why I would have been entitled to points.
