  1. The NCL private ferry to St. George for NCL passengers was running that day. I saw it on the port webcam.
  2. The quickest way is to select the current profile picture in your post. That will open your profile page. On the bottom left of your current profile picture is a photo icon. Select that and follow the instructions on uploading a new photo.
  3. Xcaret really works best if staying at a resort near Playa or Cancun. Same for Tulum, Chichen Itza an Coba. The ferry ride there and back is a killer and the time at any of those attractions isn’t log enough. I originally did Tulum from a cruise. A mistake. Later I stayed in land resorts on the Riviera Maya, did Tulum again and it was much better as we had more time to take it in. Did Xcaret and it is fine but it is popular and crowded. Not only guests from the many resorts in the area but hugely popular with the local population. It is a privately owned eco theme park but I am skeptical about the eco part with the huge crowds. Loved snorkeling in the underground caverns but I saw a couple of visitors get injured getting bumped into the rocks because there were too many people snorkeling in them at the same time.
  4. There are cancellations all the time. I have read that about one third or more of cabins booked get cancelled. I believe it as often on roll calls many of the early posters bow out before the sailing.
  5. Been on the vomit comet twice. I didn’t vomit. The problem was the oder from the passengers who vomited which was about 25% of the passengers. If you mean Xcaret I suggest Chankanaab which is on Cozumel and also a national park. Xcaret is fine but with the ferry ride there and back a lot of time is wasted.
  6. It isn’t worth it from Cozumel in my opinion because of the ferry ride. There is a nickname for that ferry Vomit Comet. It is well deserved. The seas between the island of Cozumel and the mainland are often rough. Save the visit to Xcaret for a land vacation.
  7. Well you guessed that e-scooters are common in Bermuda which they are not. So much for your guesses. How recent was your last visit to Bermuda? I could make a guess...
  8. All I see prohibited by Celebrity are hoverboards. There have been thousands of hoverboard fires so specific banning of them makes sense. There have been fatal fires. One wheels, e-scooters and e-bikes use similar type batteries so they probably should be banned too from cruise ships. If you are asking about Bermuda they can be rented there. I advise against though. On an Oceania sailing I was on to Bermuda a lady did an e-bike tour the cruise line offered and broke her hip. Lucky for her that was the week the hip surgeon from Canada was on the island to do surgeries.
  9. No, they are not common. I have cruised there 18 times over the last 23 years and have never seen anyone on an e- scooter. The e- scooter rentals started sometime last year and no one has yet mentioned renting one on forums I read. Perhaps it has become more common since this new venture started. Time will tell. You really should stop guessing though.
  10. The app will work without purchasing WIFI. You will connect for free to the internal WIFI. What you can't connect to is the outside world. No email, not, world wide web, no social media without purchasing a WiFi package. .
  11. I said they might require them to be rented. They also might not. I have not seen anything one way or the other. What I posted is speculation. I do agree with you that they should leave the e-scooter and one wheel at home. It does not require regulations by Bermuda or the cruise line to come to that conclusion. It is common sense. I was surprised that the question was asked. I am not sure where and how OP planned to use those items. Much of Bermuda has no sidewalks and the roads are in bad condition. Even if allowed it would be a bad idea. I wouldn’t even rent a moped which is allowed. Pretty dangerous, Lots of pot holes. They just got the asphalt factory back online. Maybe around the Dockyard a one wheel but the Dockyard is quite walkable.
  12. In Bermuda a scooter is a moped type vehicle. See photos in this ad. https://www.elbowbeachcycles.bm Bermuda may not have caught up with the e-scooter or one wheel fads. Because they are not mentioned does not mean they are allowed but the descriptions posted about what is not allowed are not referencing what we call e-scooters or one wheels.
  13. It doesn’t answer it. It is referring to four wheeled vehicles. I guess people don’t know what an e-scooter is. See picture in previous post #18. 2 wheels. And a one wheel has one wheel.
  14. The e-scooters and one -wheels are not four wheeled vehicles. So your reference does not apply to them. E-scooters have two wheels and one wheels have one wheel…..
  15. Here is a link to a company renting them in Bermuda. https://www.grabawhip.com As Bermuda is extremely regulated it is valid to ask if tourists can bring their own. They might require them to be rented.
  16. I have not been able find anything definitive on whether either would be permitted on the roads there. There may be e-scooter rental. A business announced it but I don’t know if it happened. I wonder where OP is intending to use them. Perhaps around the Dockyard would be safe, maybe St. George’s but I don’t think they would be safely usable elsewhere.
  17. I think they should leave them at home but if they could get them there they could probably use them. If Bermuda has a rule against I would like to see a link.
  18. Could you provide a reference? A link? You can rent and drive e-scooters and mini cars.
  19. I think the one wheel would be covered under that. I think they purposely make the list vague now so that passengers don't think they can bring any item that is not specificly listed. People look for loop holes so now they make the list more vague. So just because an item is not listed does not mean it won't be confiscated.
  20. I suggest actually reading the thread. Then you would see no one has posted who is on the Getaway today, at least not yet. The thread topic is about whether Getaway docked in Bermuda today.
  21. Getaway is docked in Bermuda today. I can see it on the port webcam. https://www.portbermudawebcam.com
  22. Same here I include the the hotels and air in the air cost estimate in the dates when I buy third party insurance. Those are covered by the policies I buy. As I mentioned the independent private excursions I booked that were paid in advance were rembursed when I had to cancel.
  23. I stopped receiving Captains Club email when you did. I do still get two regular Celebrity marketing emails every day. I am not optimistic because about 6 years ago I stopped receiving any communications from Royal Caribbean. I talked them a bunch of times and there were multiple promises that it was fixed. Multiple excuses. Still don’t get any communications from them. I don’t care anymore about Royal because I am not much interested now in Royal. I would like to get the Captains Club emails. I would rather get them than the two marketing ones that come every day.
  24. I always get third party insurance I am most concerned with medical evacuation. The policies do have a phone number to call for asistance if in a situation. I don't worry about lost luggage because the credit card I use covers that. I have only had to file a claim once. I was supposed to be on my way to Alaska and instead that day I was undergoing surgery. The third party insurance, on that sailing it was a Travel Guard policy ended up covering me 100%, flights, cruise and even independent excursions. So I didn't lose a penny. On the other hand on 60 cruises since then I have not filed a claim. So I have spent thousands on insurence I did not need. But that is why it is called insurance.
  25. That will be confiscated if they find it. If you hate wrinkled clothes buy clothes that don't wrinkle or have the laundry service press them.
