Just returned from March 30th-April 1st sailing!

Thanks for you great review! -
Absolutely correct I honestly do not know you or your, vlog, blog, YouTube, whatever. Now if I said I didn't ever watch a review of a ship, I'd be lying. But to say you may be able to provide me with "invaluable information"... After 42 years of cruising, I highly doubt it. Happy Sailing to you also. 😉

So if there is no other way, you have no problem disturbing others?

"Just" a Balcony. Will I Feel Like a Second Class Citizen?
Fla Mike replied to land64shark's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We've been on Infinity twice in "just a balcony" and never felt like we were missing anything. You'll have the run of 95% of the ship, if not more. She's a beautiful ship and you will love her. Don't worry about what the others say or do. enjoy- 123 replies

Great review, thanks for taking time out to post.

We will be on her in November and booked starboard. As others have said for the view of Ocean Cay.

Meraviglia or RC Independence of the Seas?
Fla Mike replied to parrothead0918's topic in MSC Cruises
We have been on Indy four times in the last few years and Mera once last year. Mera is without a doubt an absolutely beautiful ship, spotless. The Sky lounge is fabulous, think of it at night as a low key Viking Crown. If you like the Royal Promenade on RCL, you will be blown away with the Galleria. All that said, the service was, and if you read the recent reviews downright awful. Our Divina cruise was on of the best we ever sailed, Mera, the worst. But we are giving them one more try in November. I say go for it, if the price is right. -
We were on 2, four nighters last year on Mera and Divina, in the US, and I wore a white dinner jacket on both. I received many compliments from the women in my age group (I'm 67) and giggles from all the little girls. Honestly though, I was the only one I saw in a tux...or suit for that matter. Lovey and I love to get dressed up when we cruise. I say go for it.

Your photo of the Beyond and the Seascape together really hits hone for Lovey and I... We had an aft balcony on Edge , and have and aft suite coming up on Seashore. Both are the same ship classes. It is very interesting to see them next to each other. The size difference is overwhelming!

Booking TWO people for just a solo cruiser....questions?
Fla Mike replied to mickeychicky's topic in MSC Cruises
Call back and speak to someone else... I was looking to book an aft Aurea suite on Seashore for Feb 2024, (we have this cabin for Nov) and when I went online, none were showing. Added a third person and all the cabins showed up. I called, and asked the rep, who by the way was very helpful, (a first) and she said no problem. I said OK, but hold off for now, and she offered to put the room on a 72 hour hold. Remember, this is MSC. Call three reps and get four different answers! -
Thanks! Makes for a great weekend!

Thanks...

Thanks for your honest review... How was the crowd, was it mostly Americans, or a mix of different nationalities? And, more importantly, were fellow passengers considerate to others, or was it like a three night cruise on the Carnival Liberty? Thanks again. We will be on Seashore in November.

Just seeing this... Not sure if this is what you are looking for, and sorry for the lousy photo. These are from our USA sailing of Mera in Feb 22 the "Asti and Strawberry Package".

Looking forward to your review..... The weather has been very warm as of late, mid to upper 80's. What experience are you booked, (Fantastica, Bella, Aurea, or Yacht Club) ?

Seashore Yacht Club worth it for a 4 nighter??
Fla Mike replied to Chrisfromco's topic in MSC Cruises
Our two cruises on MSC were both four nighter's and we had no problems at all. We are doing another four nighter in Nov on Seashore, but Aurea aft suite. YIN was actually $70pp less then our Aurea, but we can't do an inside room. We just had an inside room on a RCCL charter on Liberty last week, and IMHO in was awful, we want light in our room and a place to relax outside, alone in the mornings and for cocktails while preparing for the evening. Since it was a band intensive classic rock cruise, we were never in our cabin, so it was barely OK. I do understand the appeal, and draw of YC, but, just not for us. Everyone needs to decide for themselves. If you like to be ultra pampered, go for it. For many it is the only was they will do MSC. A lot of folks give short cruises a bad rap, but we have never had a problem, even on Carnival, RCCL, Princess, and Celebrity. Have we been lucky? Maybe.
