  1. Since a Princess employee is not taking care of your needs, I'd move the booking to a private TA, just so they have to pay the commission to an outside agency. I don't like folks/companies that pocket money and don't do anything to earn it. Your PVP, or CVP, or whatever they are calling them these days has done nothing to service your booking.
  2. We chose the Lock It In Rate Ltd View Sea Terrace option, and today I noticed that our cabin numbers showed up on their website but not the app. We didn;'t get any sort of email, and that's fine...just glad to know before showing up to the port. I was hoping that we wouldn't have to change cabins, but the cabin for the 2nd half of our B2B is just 2 doors away. The "dock" is just one flight of nearby steps below....I know where we'll be hanging out!
  3. Why not try the "Contact Us" form, and ask someone to call you about setting up a birthday surprise. The agents are on the ships, but someone in customer service should be able to help you, even if it's just to tell you who to speak to once on board. https://help.virginvoyages.com/s/contactus
  4. Carnival 2020 shares outstanding were 0.775B, a 11.99% increase from 2019 Carnival 2021 shares outstanding were 1.123B, a 44.9% increase from 2020 It would take a ton of folks selling off 100 shares to make a dent in numbers this big.
  5. The only thing a corporation cares about is profit. When hemorrhaging cash, they find ways to cut back. 400 stockholders on a single two week sailing will cost them $100,000.00.
  6. When they are cutting chocolates which cost just a few cents each, I can easily see how they’d be tempted to cancel the shareholders OBC which on average costs them about 50% of the stated value.
  7. With the company making so many cuts across the fleets, I wouldn't be surprised if the shareholder's benefits ends up on the chopping block somewhere down the road. How many of you will unload your shares if this happens?
  8. We've been so impressed with Virgin pre-cruise that we're already planning on buying future cruise deposits when we get on board. The current deal is a $300 deposit, which gets you $300 off the fare and $600 in OBC. If you are platinum or elite with Princess, Virgin will match your status. Our perks include, VIP boarding, a bottle of Moet White Star, $10 per day credit for specialty coffees, a private sail-away celebration, dedicated concierge service, and a free bag of laundry.
  9. Lower our expectations so you won't be disappointed.
  10. I noticed that too and started ordering 2 glasses, as I believe they are sitting back in the galley pre-poured. I believe it's easier for the waiter/waitress to grab 2 glasses than have someone pour a larger glass.
  11. Many Princess loyalists are looking for greener pastures as well. Pam & I cancelled our 2 week sailing on the Caribbean Princess and will be trying Virgin for the 1st time in just 16 days. I'm not sure what research you did, but the the young party crowd may be the folks Virgin would like to appeal to, but the folks that actually sail with Virgin is a nice mix of young and old. Nothing is for everyone, so good luck finding a line that fits your needs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25Cq5Ls11Lg https://youtu.be/-R0imB73ajg
  12. We did however give a nice bottle of Brunello to an officer, who thanks to a mutual friend, spoiled us rotten, including a bridge tour. But the dining room manager checking up on things, full knowing that food and service hasn't been up to par in the past, is just someone doing his/her job.
  13. If their picture is on the officers/staff board, I wouldn't tip.
  14. Last week I called to see if they could tell me the occupancy rate of our upcoming cruises, and the poor girl thought I wanted to know how many other people would be in my cabin. Once she finally realized what I wanted, she checked with her supervisor and said they didn't have access to the info.
  15. If passengers know that many of the ship's systems would be problematic at start-up, surely Princess knows it too. The fact that they didn't get everything ship-shape BEFORE the 1st cruise speaks volumes.
  16. I'm glad to hear that they were able to move our reservation. My only experience has been with requesting a re-fare due to a lower price, (we were paid in full) and we were told "no".
  17. All of our post-pandemic medallions were drop-shipped to NYC from overseas, and then headed to California for reasons unknown to me (we're in Atlanta). They eventually showed up. Don't worry if they don't show up before you leave. It won't be the first time, and they'll make you new ones with little to no delay on embarkation day.
  18. Our sailing on the Enchanted may very well be our last with Princess. We've already cancelled our Quebec to FLL on the Caribbean and booked with Virgin instead.
  19. I've seen what the ships look like on Youtube, and it's not for us.
  20. We are booked for a B2B with lock it in limited view guarantees. We asked when booking if we would would have the same cabin for both sailings, and they could only say that they'd "try". That's good enough for me.
