  1. I think that you just have issues. I won't spend too much time trying to work out which permutation it is.
  2. Terry, I doubt that cruise lines would ever publish any data giving us a clear view of how bookings are made up.
  3. Included wines on all ships can change and vary from cruise to cruise. There will always be the usual favourites that are popular and they will always go out of stock first. Bar managers buy local wines wherever the ship might be and they will not ever appear on a list. I hear people moaning about the included wines as they are usually drinking better wine at home. Cruise lines will not improve the wine situation with the included list as they get a good price point that they can work with to make things pay. I don't want to moan about wine on a ship and I do drink excellent wines at home and I have a very good stocked cellar. The only option if you can't find a decent wine that you like on the included list is to buy from the revenue list.
  4. Then let the young Bucks do everything on line. I personally don't like to operate this way and as we all know a good TA is worth every penny when you need help with something that goes wrong. I see what the cruise lines might want to happen but they rely heavily on TA's to give them the majority of their business.
  5. I would still let my TA do everything and quote me all price options. I would not book directly with the cruise line.
  6. If a spare suite was available for the spouse and she was offered it and refused it I would expect the Doctor and Hotel director to insist that she take the suite otherwise they would both be confined to their own suite or both be put off at the next port of call. The cruise line has every right to do so as it is covered by the small print in the terms and conditions that we all agree to before we board. It's not hard is it.
  7. Checked the list and yes we have all of that. Encore next week here we come.
  8. Obfuscated, Who knew πŸ˜€
  9. Let me find and eight year gap in my itinerary to digest this
  10. I'm sorry,it won't happen again. Nurse!
  11. Luckily for me it says the site can't be reached πŸ˜€
  12. Yes I can see how it would be helpful to a hapless soul like you JP.πŸ˜€ I would have used a private medical facility and a chauffeur so no need for one of those cyber security thingys πŸ˜€
  13. And he's put on weight.😁
  14. I think that he was referring to the first nights dinner offerings.
  15. You'll just have to drink Scotch on that old tub of yours for a year πŸ˜€
  16. Yes,there is a crew bar. Beers are the main stay and soft drinks. Cruise lines don't like to serve spirits as this can lead to trouble and the crew work long hours to look after us. I have attended many crew parties over the years. What goes on in the crew bar stays in the crew bar.πŸ˜‰
  17. I count myself lucky that I don't usually sail on a ship that has a different class system whereby the more you pay for a suite, the more you get included. I find Seabourn and Silversea suit me. I don't have any problem with getting the wine that i want as I always buy from the revenue list to avoid any disappointment. Life is too short to drink cheap wine anyway. I find that the head Sommelier seeks me out and we have many conversations about wine that he might recommend and wine that I might recommend to him. There is always a solution to avoiding these small issues on a cruise ship. Will be on board Encore next week then off to Pursuit to try her out. What's not to like.
  18. It doesn't go to staff They are not allowed spirits at all on board.
  19. It's not working for me today
  20. It is amazing how the Champagne changes by using a larger glass. Many Champagne houses with big style wines prefer to buses such glasses amd some even decant a full bottle before pouring.
