  1. "We did not feel the need to order a special wine" I'm not surprised, then you would have paid $470 for a dinner on an all inclusive ship. Glad you enjoyed the dinner and the new up charge was "ok"
  2. Seabourn do not differentiate between suites for restaurant reservations. All are treated equal which makes for a good atmosphere on the ship. Booked excursion guests are given priority when tendering in the morning as they generally have to board a bus to start a tour. After they have gone then it's free for all and tendering is generally a smooth process.
  3. Just got off Encore. Some slight service issues but because of new crew being trained. Don't forget I'm fussy and used to excellent service,so some guests might not notice. Still a few old guard on board. Soaps are gone but I had four different large Molton Brown body washes and the Seabourn only fragrance Molton Brown shampoo, body wash, conditioner and body lotion. Tote bags if you want them. I have my own bag that I use when I travel. Very good man and lady looking after the suite and laundry sent out every day and returned the next day. No Evian which is not good for me as that is the only water I ever drink. There was a Greek still water in a glass bottle with a screw cap which kept me hydrated. The ship water in refillable bottles was horrid.
  4. My understanding is that he should be on by then.
  5. You didn't see the colour of the water in the pool.🫣
  6. I think they can still make it work without increasing the revenue wine list. Regent and Silversea manage to include tours in the cruise cost, why not all of the food on board also. I know everything is free on Regent. Sorry for trying to mislead anyone.
  7. I agree Keith,but you do tell us everything.😁
  8. You've met these people before,surely😀
  9. Get the Sommelier to go hard on the upsell 😀
  10. Being charged for dinner on an all inclusive luxury line makes no sense at all to me. Limit it to one dinner per cruise but include it in the whole cruise price. That's what Seabourn do with Thomas Keller Grill.
  11. Just the difference in the size and amount of passengers on Oceania would keep me from booking any cruise at any price. Why not look at Silversea,Explora Journeys,Scenic or Ritz Carlton if Seabourn is not going to be the right fit.
  12. You will find ex Seabourn crew everywhere in the industry. They have some of the best training and it gives them a good CV to get work on any other line. This week i found an ex Crystal butler who is now head waiter in TK Grill on the Encore. Staff move for various reasons.
  13. Starlink is only on Venture and Pursuit at present. I had very good Internet service on Encore these last two weeks.
  14. No problem with senior officers on Encore this last two weeks. All evident and accessible.
  15. I thought that they were in discussions to get finance in place before moving forward with ordering a ship or four.
  16. I have just received a letter telling me that due to the group on board,I have been credited 25% future cruise credit for the inconvenience that they have caused. I think this fair. Senior staff on board listened and head office acted promptly.
  17. This particular group booking was accepted nearly two years ago. At this time of year no cruise line needs to take a booking like that as thry will fill the ship anyway. All lines will take group bookings as they are fearfull that if turned away, the group will go to another line.
  18. Funny you should mention the PR Winston. I got on the 6th August and had the last bottle on board that night. No more since. I had LR Crystal and Crystal Rose. DP 2013 and the last battle of LP Grand Sicele. Quiet a few on the list were not available. I have a better cellar at home. Pursuit has been emailed and instructed accordingly 😀
  19. I am disembarking tomorrow, home for a week and then off to the Pursuit where I understand all is calm and well. The Antipodeans are also disembarking tomorrow. Apparently the ship had to take on board more supplies of Corona beers to keep them hydrated.
