I boarded at 12.15 when boarding opened. There were two ladies that went to the terminal at 09.00 and were not allowed to board until 12.15 when shoreside operations were ready. There was an announcement on the ship when all suites were ready. That was about 13.15 Diamond and Diamond Elite board first when it opens but it was quiet and most boarded very soon after.

Thanks Markham. I must say space is what I noticed immediately when boarding Pursuit. Unusually for me I went to the Colonnade. The food was of a far better quality than what we saw the previous week on Encore. The room is well designed and the colour scheme throughout the ship is very tasteful. Dinner last night in the restaurant was a great success Good old fashioned service from a well oiled team. The chef on board is turning out excellent food which is more than you could say from Encore dining room experience last week. We will be dining in the restaurant tonight with Stig Betten who is the Captain at present. Earth and Ocean alternatives in the Colonnade for dinner with themed dinners on other nights. The smell of new carpet wafts through the ship. New linens will excite you Markham I know what floats you're boat my friend 😉

I had dinner last night in the restaurant. It was the first night on board for most. Elegant casual. Some were Elegant and some were Casual. A lot of jackets for men,many made an effort and some women made an effort. My wife and I were the best dressed of course.😀 I would say comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Sushi in the club is a wonderful idea. 18.00-21.00 so you can have a pre dinner snack or have a meal here whilst listening to the guitarist or pianist.

I have boarded Pursuit today. My God what a complete difference from Encore for the last two weeks. What a wonderfully designed ship. Crew very friendly.The food in the main dining room tonight you could not get better. Book this ship you will not be disappointed. Some old friends that I've known for over twenty years on Seabourn. Nelson is in the club. Yes you remember him from the Pride all those years ago. What a perfect first day.

Hello, Just boarded today. Had a Ruinart Blanc de Blanc for dinner Crystal Rose tomorrow, Crystal the next day,Dom Perignon 2013 then a Blanc de Noir after.Don't mention the reds on offer.all good stuff. Food and service is excellent What a first day. Wonderful ship and crew.

Can you have a look at the Shelter for me and report back, I understand that its 32 seats. I'm thinking that it offers premium Champagne by the glass?

Can you tell me how the Shelter works as the video shows premium Champagne served by the glass. I'm assuming chargeable. Can you buy a bottle and drink it there before dinner.

Deck seven forward on Encore has torn amd worn cushions that cover the bench in front of the whirlpool. Captain Bathgate came on for his stint last week and when I had dinner with him this was part of our conversation. Things around the ship are looking a little shabby and it's high time that money was spent. Assuming they have enough in the pot by now.🙄

From what I'm reading about the on board experience, it's not doing it for me so far.

If stock of those watches were available to purchase then it would be the only place on earth that you would get them. You would have to be on a waiting list or have a considerable spend track record with an AD to get one.

Thank you for your review Keith. Some good things going on but still a work in progress. The important point that I see here is that Crystal now have owners that are experienced in the luxury cruise sector and that will be the best thing that could have happened and will benefit all in the coming years.

I have never used one of the loungers that you describe on any Seabourn ship. I use the double bed type loungers with a four inch thick cushion. On Encore they are on deck eleven, ten metres from my suite which is convenient when I need to pop back. They are also on deck twelve forward and thry are never full. It's quiet and a perfect place to drift off. There are two on the pool deck and a few others on deck five aft. No need to have a rigid lounger with metal arms on if you don't like them although I saw plenty of other guests asleep on them after lunch. They looked happy enough to me.

If you had boarded then one of you would have been quarantined and the other offered another suite if there was a spare one or both quarantined if there was not one available. You would have had a bench placed outside the suite for staff to deliver food to your suite. You did the right thing to cancel.

The Sun Hotel built in 1480 should be a good choice. It's in the centre of Canterbury amd conveniently placed near to the Cathedral.

Be careful how you deal with crew early in the morning when asking for coffee before the published start time. On Viking you could find that a large guy in a hat with horns on might not be too pleased.

You can eat cold steak but not cold fries.

Good move Perhaps we should all have a stone in the main dining room as the fries are never piping hot. 😁
