  1. Very Interesting although I'm not sure I want to see Galileo's middle finger.
  2. There you have it two people with different experiences. It only takes two to Tango 😁
  3. Storage does depend on which type of suite you have. I have a larger suite on Seabourn and Silversea and find that there is more than enough space. Standard suites might differ from that.
  4. Indeed Keith. I think I was on Serenity as the dining changed. I can't remember how it was before then. I always buy wine from a list so can't really say if the wine was included by then
  5. It's all a bit of a tease really to whet the appetite. I like the facts that will follow and will make a decision once I know that there are suites that I like and an Itinerary that is interesting but that's getting less likely the more I sail around the world. Buy land they're not making it any more.
  6. I never rely on others views and like to explore a ship and get it to work for me. I am hoping to go on Serenity again but I am also hoping that it will be very different to how old Crystal was. Fingers crossed 😁
  7. Yes,everything is subject to change. Getting on board is the real deal for knowledge.
  8. Indeed they are Terry. The cheerleaders will have to put on a brave face if they wish to tell all that everything is the same as before and nothing has changed. I am coming from a different stance as I am wishing that the new Crystal is nothing like the old Crystal. I don't mind older ships as long as they are well maintained and that there are better and larger suites than before. Old Crystal is dead and I am looking forward to something much better going forward.
  9. It is a retreat of sorts but not a facility with cabanas, tables, chairs,TV and a drinks list. It is an open space and has shuffleboard. It's all part of the sundeck really.
  10. I think the last three times on Encore for me were not sailing at capacity. I like the smaller ships for outside deck space but prefer the larger ships for TK Grill and Bar and gym.
  11. Deck six is best for me. Deck seven a complete no as you get noise from the open deck above.Early Deck cleaning and late night noise from people walking around. I had to move suites when I was on seven. 642 is my go to.
  12. This thread is four years old. Ownership has changed in that time.
  13. One extra deck and it is a slightly wider.
  14. Very wise move in the circumstances.
  15. And so New Crystal begins. Only when people get on board will we really know what the accommodation is like.
  16. I would ask your TA or the company themselves as people on these boards can only guess at the moment. Once on board, the world's your oyster.
  17. You could be right. I remember the distinct tie that the male croupiers wore. I have never bet in a casino in my life. It's a mugs game.
  18. Terry,I totally agree with you. I sailed with the original Crystal and it was not luxury in any way for me in comparison with many other lines. Crystal did seem to have a particular loyal following but with Manfredi owning the new Crystal line now I think that many old Crystalisers will be in for a shock as most seem to be wanting the New Crystal to be exactly as the old Crystal was and that includes the same crew. I can't wait to read the reviews.
  19. I remember them thirty years ago on Royal Caribbean.
  20. Hope this doesn't offend anyone with a Bowel issue 🙄
