  1. Yes,I was at that concert. I'm not sure how much a President of Seabourn will ever get to go on the ships. I think to some degree they will all have to toe the HAL line and Seabourn will not have its own unique style as gradually things get diluted and morph into the HAL corporate identity. The crew on the ships know what we want that is those that have not left to join Viking,Windstar,Scenic and the like.
  2. I'll let you know if I see anything that changes.
  3. Handre is indeed land based and in charge of Entertainment and talent booking at corporate HQ He regularly visits all of the ships now.
  4. Interesting spin from Manfredi on what and where he thinks his two old ships are in the scheme of things. I'm waiting and watching with great interest how NC will do. They can't just rely on guests that used to sail with Old Crystal and will need to attract new guests. Interesting that prices are greatly increased which will get rid of some of the old guests that were used to cheap cruising and solo sailing prices.
  5. Sounds great but I'm sure you can't wait to get on NC for the dance hosts 😁
  6. The important stuff happens at sea thankfully. The land based stuff is just stuff.
  7. Yes one on these boards and another one at sea.
  8. I've heard of new Crystal but not new Seabourn.
  9. Here we go again folks Hold on tight 😀
  10. A little less eye shadow please DW
  11. Iceland has one of the highest alcoholism problems in the World. There are other Nordic countries that do out drink Iceland. Reykjavik is worth a visit
  12. Yes the TA is correct Enjoy the Encore.
  13. The 25% makes it a no brainer as the wines are competitively priced anyway.
  14. Always buy wines from the list then you can't go wrong.
  15. Terry, It looks like it's the giant ship club that use Port C. Best avoided for those of us that like nothing more than 600 Passengers.
  16. Good post and a wise decision.
  17. That's all very well Keith but those of us that have been cruising regularly on different lines since covid can tell you first hand that the staffing issues have been the problem. Many staff at sea or on land are not in the business any more since covid and therefore the hospitality business and especially on ships has been hit hard. I'm sure many of us that have been regularly sailing will have experienced poor meals and poor service at some point on a cruise. All lines are recruiting fiercely and at some point they will all be back to the "well seasoned"team days that you remember before covid. Nothing is perfect in our world at the moment. We can only hope going forward.
  18. I can't wait to enjoy your posts
  19. Well seasoned, that's a phrase that we use about food. Well let's hope that everything is well seasoned. I post here because I am interested in a new cruise line to sail on and want to see excellent results for all of us. I think that you post here because you're interested in a cruise line that doesn't exist anymore from yesteryear. I get that the old line suited you well and you had a fantastic time. I am hoping the same for myself on a new cruise line. Let's see how things work out as i suspect that the ships, crew, cuisine are nowhere near ready for any guests to make informed decisions about. Happy sailing to all.
