We had an invitation for a first timers party on our cruise from Barcelona to Miami on the Marina Nov ,19, 2022. We did not attend mainly because we had the drink package.

That was the worst Reuben ever. Took one bite and and went to get a hamburger.😀

We were quarantined in a Vancouver hotel with about 50 others (on our bus). Our quarantine was for 10 days while others had less. We had minor symptoms but did test positive and never a WORD from HAl and nothing but a form email from the Canadian government. They also called our home # in the states and left a message saying we should pick up the phone. Evidently they had no idea where we were binging quarantined or would have called our hotel.We could have gotten off the HAL transport bus to the covid hotel and taken a cab to the airport and gone home and no one would have known or evidently cared.However, our cruise was great until the 6th day, and I am now an expert ordering food from the Vancouver door dash😀PS The hotel ( Sheraton Airport) required the full 10 night stay prepaid (450 US per night) before we got to the hotel.

My wife was treated with cough medicine on the ship for one night in Quarantine and then we were transported to The Sheraton Vancouver Airport for 10 nights of Quarantine. Never a word from Holland America.

We officially started day 1 of our tour in Seattle 8-3 at the Crown Plaza airport hotel and day 2 we flew to Anchorage and stayed at the Westmark Hotel (arrival 6:00 pm). Day 3 train to Danali and check In McKinley lodge Day 4 Denali tour am and covid test pm. Day 5 Train to Whitter and board cruise 8-7 around 6 pm.I would recommend you check any airline reservations made by HAL and make changes such as seat assignments and flights if not satisfied.. Some people in our group were getting to Anchorage at midnight. Make sure you bring extra prescription medication in case something does go wrong (quarantined). Some people have their doctor give them a Z pac. Cough medicine could be useful. We are currently Quarantined in Vancouver for 10 days at the Sheraton Airport Hotel

Our pre cruise land tour required a covid test but was never checked by anyone. We were Covid tested at the McKinley Lodge by HAL the day before our cruise Results within about 30 minutes.. Some people tested positive at McKinley and were transported back to Anchorage for 10:day quarantine at a local hotel and of course no cruise. You don’t have to use Verifly and it is difficult to set up at McKinley lodge rooms due to poor internet. The arriveCan app does not need to be set up until on the ship despite handout they give you. . The ship provides complete directions to make it easier. While on the ship if you go to Medical for any reason you will be tested for Covid and subject to Quarantine on ship and upon arrival in Canada

We made online main dining reservations for the week several months ahead of our 8-7 Amsterdam Alaska cruise and the first night we go to check in for our 6:30 reservation they said “no reservation.”Find out after much discussion-those were done away with or cancelled without as much as as an email. No apology.

Hotels are very expensive and after checking Marriott’s Bon Voy our $500 price per night is the going rate. The Canadian Gov office of compliance did try to call us but they called our home phone number and told us we needed to pickup our phone. We changed our answering machine introduction to say we are quarantined in Canada and gave our cell phone # if they call again. Tried to call the number that called us but did not work for reaching anybody. Tried several other numbers to no avail. It would seem they would have our quarantined hotel name and location and would call the hotel to reach us. If we had to do it over again I am not sure we would go to the ship clinic for cough medicine.😀

Covid symptoms and now TEST required. ! Negative test but they required her to stay in room and be tested again next day. Positive next day for her but still negative for me. Our friend with the same symptoms didn’t test and is now at home. We are now in day 3 and will probably never hear from HAL or the Canadian gov. If you are going to be quarantined for 10 days I recommend you both be about twenty and madly in love.😀

We are currently in Covid Quarantine at the Vancouver Sheraton Airport hotel for 10 nights. My wife tested positive (I was negative) the day before our Nieuw Amsterdam 8-7 cruise ended in Vancouver. HA moved her to a quarantine room 6006 for the one night.She was treated very well and was able to order off the main dinning room menu. I was given the choice to return home, stay in the hotel room with her and be under quarantine, or get a seperate room at my own expense and not be able to see her. I chose to stay with her. We left the ship last and were taken to a bus with about 50 people with positive and negative covid tests. The bus ride took about 30 minutes and we checked in to a balcony room. Be prepared to put the $500 a night hotel on your credit card as Holland America will reimburse you after submitting expense voucher.You also have a $100 pp food allowance. This will also be submitted with hotel bill. We are in our second night with 8 more to go. Thank goodness for door dash. The ship carried approximately 1500 passengers, More couples had one test positive and not both. I am sure a lot more people on ship had covid symptoms but would not get tested out of fear of being quarantined. We had a beautiful land tour and cruise before our bad luck.
