Even without coffee, water, soda or casual meals if you have at least 3-4 drinks a day you are ahead of the game Don’t see those folks logic I am just glad we don’t have to pay by the drink anymore. We would each have a bar bill over $100 per day
I have seen this done In different ways Some ships take you off as a group through customs. On an Alaskan cruise Vancouver to Whittier you go through US customs in Vancouver so nothing to do in Whittier come or go as you like. On some cruises where you don’t need customs ie Vancouver to Seattle to Hawaii we just went to a lounge and hit our medallions like checking off and on the ship. In the long past when there were few of us we just all met customs on the ship in a lounge
Last time I looked there were 2 options to check wash or clean. We usually separate them into 2 bags. We never need it back in 1 day so timing is not a big deal
Every Royal class ship I have ever been on has seemed crowded especially in Alaska with kids running everywhere. Our favorite ships are the Ruby, Crown, Grand and Coral In our next 7 cruises only one is in a Royal class ship and that is for the itinerary
No in Oregon there is a state law that states ‘No minor may sit or stand at a bar”. It is not the establishment but the state law so if a ship is berthed in Astoria that law should apply
I was seated at 8:00 as a walk in. We cruise 3-4 times a year and have never made a specialty dinner reservation before boarding and usually eat in them at least 2 times a cruise
We have never had an issue getting late dining tables even on 7 day cruises while on board. In our experience as long as you don’t need to eat early it should not be an issue. We were on a 10 day Mexico cruise and at 8:00 Crown Grille was half empty
My issue right now is the boarding pass. I sail on April 14 and although the boarding pass is there there are no boarding times listed. We are sailing from Canada and I am not sure about their rules. We like to have a nice lunch/brunch before boarding and want to time it out
Every restaurant that I go to in my state have big signs over the bar saying “No minors allowed in this area”. Pool bars are one thing this discussion had to do with entertainment venues such as Crooners, Crown Grill Bar, Wheelhouse and Take 5 where there are bar stools and table areas
