  1. For anyone who like we do drink 10-12 drinks a day the Princess price is a much better deal. That alone would keep me off those lines
  2. As far as I know the package price is not going to change Have you ever done it ?
  3. Our next canal trip is early January one of my favorite time of year and on the Coral
  4. I have seen this done In different ways Some ships take you off as a group through customs. On an Alaskan cruise Vancouver to Whittier you go through US customs in Vancouver so nothing to do in Whittier come or go as you like. On some cruises where you don’t need customs ie Vancouver to Seattle to Hawaii we just went to a lounge and hit our medallions like checking off and on the ship. In the long past when there were few of us we just all met customs on the ship in a lounge
  5. The plus and premier packages have nothing to do with what cabin class you are in. They can be added to any booking
  6. With those prices I will happily stay with my Plus package on Princess
  7. Originally the drink packages were unlimited and limits came in when people started sharing with friends.
  8. Many times some TA group blocks that they do not sell out will be returned to Princess after final payment
  9. Last time I looked there were 2 options to check wash or clean. We usually separate them into 2 bags. We never need it back in 1 day so timing is not a big deal
  10. Every Royal class ship I have ever been on has seemed crowded especially in Alaska with kids running everywhere. Our favorite ships are the Ruby, Crown, Grand and Coral In our next 7 cruises only one is in a Royal class ship and that is for the itinerary
  11. No in Oregon there is a state law that states ‘No minor may sit or stand at a bar”. It is not the establishment but the state law so if a ship is berthed in Astoria that law should apply
  12. They walk through the casino constantly to go to the theatre on every ship I have ever been on
  13. We are sailing out of Vancouver next week and it has been showing as sold out for about 2 weeks
  14. I was seated at 8:00 as a walk in. We cruise 3-4 times a year and have never made a specialty dinner reservation before boarding and usually eat in them at least 2 times a cruise
  15. They do it in the casino. Why can’t kids sit at the casino bar while their parents are gambling ?
  16. We have never had an issue getting late dining tables even on 7 day cruises while on board. In our experience as long as you don’t need to eat early it should not be an issue. We were on a 10 day Mexico cruise and at 8:00 Crown Grille was half empty
  17. The only circumstance where a beverage only plan would be useful is if you drink and your cabin mate won’t pay for the package
  18. My issue right now is the boarding pass. I sail on April 14 and although the boarding pass is there there are no boarding times listed. We are sailing from Canada and I am not sure about their rules. We like to have a nice lunch/brunch before boarding and want to time it out
  19. Every restaurant that I go to in my state have big signs over the bar saying “No minors allowed in this area”. Pool bars are one thing this discussion had to do with entertainment venues such as Crooners, Crown Grill Bar, Wheelhouse and Take 5 where there are bar stools and table areas
  20. Face it no one buys the beverage deals on their own They buy the packages
  21. I would rather have an aft balcony than any other balcony. You know you are at se
  22. You are in the US on Hawaii and Alaska cruises pretty much every port is US. In fact for 4straight days this month I will be in US waters
  23. Really no one here ever picked up a man or woman at a bar ?
  24. They do have a policy and if you ask the bartender they will be removed from any bar stools. I have done once in a while most parents are responsible enough to socialize with their children at tables not bars
