The $60 per day is mostly for booze, gratuities and Wi-Fi. And for those of us who indulge well with it. We don’t use room service or order via the app so it really doesn’t matter which plus plan we have on our next 7 cruises
If you have an older version of Plus and want to upgrade it would be the difference between what you paid and what the new price is. If you don’t care about room service, ordering through the app there really isn’t much that I feel is needed especially if you are on a ship without a sit down pizzeria
We usually travel in suite with the Plus package. I see no reason to pay for premier since all of needs are taken care of We get a free specialty dinner on embarkation and most our drinks fall into the $15 limit I have really only used room service when isolated for Covid
If you like your cocktails you should look at Princess Plus fares which include gratuities, unlimited internet, 15 alcoholic drinks a day plus coffee soft drinks plus other stuff
The only dining that was free before was the pizzeria and on my 7 cruises currently booked only one of them has a pizzeria so nothing really changes for us. We rarely use room service or use the app to order. We get the plus to save money on our cocktails (8-10 per person per day). We don’t need to upgrade and have always gotten the $15 drinks regardless of which plus package we had purchased
Usually a special entree or pasta not on the MDR menu. Also no wait to be seated. If you are not going to eat in reserve dining no sense to have those cabins. We tell friends who are traveling with us that if they don’t have reserve dining that we would not be able to have dinner together
It seems like they are upset with Princess for ending up in the hospital. If they had gone to the infirmary the could have gotten treatment and FCC’s for every day the were isolated.
If you are on a Royal class ship these days sailing at 100% capacity you will be in crowded surroundings pretty much anywhere outside of your own cabin
No but they will tell you that the drink you ordered is not covered by your plan. If you go to the guest services they will show you the website. Unless you want to spend hours arguing with various managers it sounds like a waste of my cruise time. This seems to be an e-mail geared towards the Australian market that the OP got in error
We wore masks a lot on the Royal in 2022 and both got Covid. Rarely wore them on the Emerald this year and I got Covid. Just seems to be the luck of the draw. The only place we usually wear them are public restrooms and that is more for general health rather than Covid
I would not try that on any bartender when app and website all show $15. The casual cruiser has to go on the website to print luggage tags and go to the app for reservations
