I cannot recommend flying in same day All it takes is one equipment problem or one weather event and that’s all she wrote. We are only a 3 1/2 hour train ride from Seattle and still go in a day early as we have seen delays a and landslides that mess with travel -

As you may know I quit smoking 6 years ago. My post was mostly a jab at those who pine for the old ways of cruising. I do think you have to have some place indoors for smokers in certain circumstances such as bad weather which causes the outside decks to be closed

Breakfast and dinner everyday in the MDR. Lunch only on sea days and embarkation day

Do those people who want to go back to the “good old days” of cruising with tip envelopes and only traditional dining remember when you could smoke pretty much anywhere on a ship all the bars, your cabin, your balcony and even in the MDR. Now it is only in a few places. Seems better to me

Yes you can use OBC for excursions. It is maybe the only thing you can use it for prior to boarding

We have experienced issues with these kind of things on many cruises and many lines. Old and new ships alike

Remember on the old Pacific Prrincess the casino, casino bar and piano player were all in one area and I don’t remember complaints about the noise

That is a lot of money to spend for convenience when you don’t drink. Who told you he could not have a package ? There is also a no alcohol plan as well

Because Take 5 is also the casino bar on many Royal class ships
